Azienda Agricola Principi di Porca, in the Friuli Grave and Lison–Pramaggiore DOC area, is a structure that, hosting for centuries the most diverse productive sectors, namely those of the traditional model of agriculture (corn, soybeans, barley, fodder, walnuts, poplars, wine, milk) guarantees the consumer a product specifically ethical, healthy, safe and, at the same time, affordable. Truly sustainable from the environmental point of view.
And this thanks to the absolute transparency of the internal production cycle: cattle is fed with forage and grain in order to constantly maintain its good health and optimum milk production. Its organic substance, its manure, rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, is an exceptional engine for the fertility of the soil, which therefore does not require massive chemical inputs, neither herbicides and pesticides. The diversification of crops, along with their rotation, decreases by far the processing of the land contributing to a better control of weeds and, therefore, a limitation of chemical weed control. The fertility of the soil ensures, therefore, the certainty of operating at low environmental impact, of course, also in the vineyard.
A doctor, Ezio Maria Nicodemi, wanted to recover and enhance a vine of his own age, 40 years, planted by his father Dario on a plot of land received by his grandfather Ezio. In 2003 the first daughter of Ezio Maria (Chiara) was born and the first wine Nerodichiara and the first raisin wine Brumauero were created. The awareness that it was the beginning of a real business brought to move with great respect and attention in a world, that of wine, which is culture before commerce. The challenge was and will be that of obtaining products of high quality from the cultivation of the Montepulciano grape variety cultived in canopy management, the classic trellis of Abruzzo on a clayey soil whose slope and sun exposure make it suitable for a production of high potential.
The county is localized in the sub–area of the hills of Teramo, on lands situated south–east at an height of 320 meters above sea level, about 20 km from the mountains of Gran Sasso and 8 km from the Adriatic Sea and 2 km from the river Tordino. The farming system in Abruzzo trellis covers 5 hectares. The 140 Ruggeri graft–holder is used. This combination allowed to obtain a higher quality result thanks to the shelter of grapes from the direct sun, with exposure to south south–east of the Vineyard, and the best exposure, the so–called expansion of the leaf system, that favors a greater accumulation of sugars.
The beginning of the enterprise was entrusted to the severe Federico Curtaz, an internationally renowned agronomist, who is leading the optimization of the management of the lands and the classic grape variety of Montepulciano. The principal wines of the county have been designed by the most appreciated Winemaker of the moment Walter de Batt: Nerodichiara is a DOC wine created with Montepulciano grapes in single–variety and Brumaureo is a raisin wine of Montepulciano in single–variety, the real regional novelty. From about 5 hectares of Vineyard, we can produce up to 40,000 bottles per year.
In the foothills to the East of the Euganean Hills, in the town of Due Carrare, the "La Mincana" farm has been owned by the Dal Martello family for three generations.
The vineyards surround the winery, consisting of a complex that includes a sixteenth century villa and an arcade, now seat of the wineries. The villa of the seventeenth century is owned by the noble Venetian Dolfin family that took it over by the Bondumier family, the holder in the sixteenth century. In the first half of the eighteenth century it was renovated in Palladian style, particularly evident in the Northern loggia and in the oratory built to the west side of the villa.
Towards the end of the eighteenth century Andrea Dolfin (then ambassador of the Venetian Republic in France) entrusted the architect Giannantonio Selva the building of a garden at the south of the orchard, one of the first of its kind in Italy. Of the garden a few traces remain, the fish pond and some centuries–old trees.
The farm has been owned by the Dal Martello family that since 1907 and covers an area of about 57 hectares, of which 18 are vineyards. The main activity is the production and sale of wine. A careful vineyard management, low yields per hectare, appropriate techniques and attention at various stages of the subsequent winemaking allow us to obtain a final product of quality.

The Winery of Caldaro, founded in 1906, is an association of 450 farmers with a cultivable area of about 300 hectares, and belongs to the most important companies of quality in South Tyrol and in Italy. Its members manage the heart of the Alto Adige wine area around Lake Caldaro.
Among the estates, two vineyards of Pfarrhof and Castel Giovanelli stand out, as well as wines produced in classified areas (Lagenweine). To apply the philosophy of quality we take voluntarily is both a mission and a stimulus. The ambition of our peasants is to get the most valuable pressed grapes beyond the established quality. For the wines produced in other territories, winemakers are no longer just suppliers of grapes, but also participate in the work in the cellar, in the tastings in progress and in the decisions regarding further developments, thus becoming producers of wines.

Company of centuries–old rural traditions, Ricci Curbastro stands among the prominent realities of Franciacorta, thanks to an extensive and competitive range. We highlight the two Extra Brut, which reveal a cheerful and “snappy” structure, but not without character. Worth to be emphasizes is the step forward, compared to the last edition of the Brut Rosé, that shows grace and proportion of taste.
Citille di Sopra was founded in 1997 with the company transfer by the Innocenti family to their son Fabio. Already owner of part of the company since 1992, Fabio decided to undertake the winemaking activity to accompany his ten–year experience in the cultivation of cereals. From a careful analyses of the land, the rootstocks of cuttings and clones of Sangiovese to be planted were chosen. The various forms of cultivation of vines were carefully evaluated, but it was decided to use the spurred cordon, as both the limited quantities produced and the area in which we find ourselves, require to use this type of cultivation. Among more than one hundred hectares of land in ownership of Fabio Innocenti, currently only 5.5 ha are planted with vines, for which the best areas for the production of Brunello have been selected.
The soil is clayey on average, rich in limestone, interspersed with large areas of tufa, basically thin, ideal terrain for vines grown in the middle hill, avoiding, in these areas, the presence of fog, freezing and late hoarfrost, that may occur in valleys. The ventilation is almost constantly present, to ensure a good protection against plant diseases, while minimizing pesticide treatments.
Favaro Benito farm was founded in 1992. Our small business is family run. My father, Benito, not only is the man who had the intuition to start this adventure 15 years ago, but he looks after vineyards, which have always been the core of our brand. My brother Nicola helps dad in the complex and crucial work in vineyards. I do my best in the winery to lead wines towards the right direction. Mum Rosanna, as all mums, does many things with great passion: she is our “mascotte”, without her the ring would not be complete. My sister Elena, with her husband Claudio, cultivates all the black grape vines that we vinify, then, in our winery. It is like a fairytale, but it is the simple story of a family that produces wine believing in its work and in upright principles. Our vineyards are all in Piverone, a hill of moraine origins in Serra D’Ivrea, the home of our vines.
Tacchino Raffalele farm sells only wine of its own production, for this reason the amount varies over the years depending on the weather trend, just as happened to our ancestors.
Therefore, wine is sold out. Then you have to wait for the forthcoming harvest!
It is obvious, then, that we focus on Quality, and not on Quantity: those expectations have never disappointed our customers.
