The Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino was born in 1967, the day after the recognition of the DOC, as a free association between producers intent on protecting their wine and enhancing its characteristics. The Consortium has favored the birth of a productive fabric made up of old and new companies, small and large, united by common intentions of respect for nature and aspiration to high quality wine. The Consortium organizes events in Italy and abroad and the participation of producers in fairs. It takes care of the image of the Montalcino denominations through a press office, spreads news through a website and numerous publications in several languages. A less visible but very important activity is the assistance to the specialized press and to the opinion makers for whom tastings and visits are organized. Equally important is the assistance to members on the regulations governing wine production.
Already at the beginning of the last century the winemakers of Barolo and Barbaresco felt the need to come together to protect their production: in 1908 they asked for the creation of a "certificate of origin" issued by an association operating under the control of provincial administration and the Piedmontese wine union. Only in 1924, however, the Italian Parliament promulgated the law on typical wines and established that their characteristics had to be constant and defined by the consortium statutes. Thus began the preparatory work for the establishment of the Consortium for the Defense of Typical Wines of Pregio Barolo and Barbaresco, officially founded in 1934 with the task of defining the production context (the area of origin, the grapes and the characteristics of the wine), against fraud, adulteration and unfair competition, to promote the knowledge of wines, as well as to defend their name and quality in the most appropriate fora. After the break dictated by the war events, the Consortium was reconstituted in 1947. In 1963 the law 930 was issued, which sanctioned the birth of the designations of origin and defined the exact role of the Consortia. Immediately, the Albese Consortium worked for the recognition of the DOC for Barolo and Barbaresco, which took place in 1966, and later for that of the DOCG, granted in 1980. In 1984 the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry officially entrusted the Consortium with the task supervision of the production of the two excellent reds. The protection exercised on Langa wines was perfected between 2007 and 2009, when the Ministry assigned the Consortium the task of carrying out the Control Plan on all the DOCGs and DOCs under its competence. In this way, not only Barolo and Barbaresco, but also Dogliani, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto (in its various types), Langhe, Nebbiolo d'Alba and Verduno Pelaverga are perfectly guaranteed in terms of traceability.
Since its foundation, the Consortium has been involved in the protection, supervision and enhancement of the Chianti Classico appellation. From the Consortium for the defense of the typical Chianti wine and its brand of origin in 1924 to the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico of today, the consortium has changed the names and graphic styles of its brand where, however, the historic symbol has always stood out del Gallo Nero. Today the Consortium of Chianti Classico Gallo Nero represents about 96% of the DOCG producers and is confirmed as one of the main referents of national and community institutions for the wine sector. Its internal organization includes structures dedicated to carrying out its institutional tasks: from the protection and services front, which sees the legal department engaged, to that of enhancement, entrusted to the marketing and communication department. The entire supply chain, from the production of the grapes to the bottling of the product, is subject to a traceability system, the data of which are entered in a computerized database of public use. A system that allows consumers from all over the world to verify the origin of the bottle they have purchased. The Consortium also implements a strict control on the packaged product already present in the sales channels. Another important activity is research and experimentation in the agronomic and oenological field, carried out by the Consortium in collaboration with prestigious training and research institutes at local and national level.
The story begins in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a hilly area in the North East of Italy, 50 km from Venice and about 100 from the Dolomites. Here for more than three centuries the grapes that give rise to Prosecco Superiore have been grown, whose success begins with the foundation of the first Italian Enological School, in 1876. The production area, which extends over 15 municipalities and represents the the heart of the world of Prosecco, it is a historical Italian denomination recognized in 1969. In 2009, with the reorganization of the Prosecco denominations, the Ministry of Agriculture classified it as Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG), the highest Italian quality level. It is flanked by the DOCG Asolo and the DOC Prosecco, extended over 9 provinces of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, created to protect the wine heritage of Prosecco and protect it in the world.

We are a group of seven companies decided to create a network; These are the "CEMBRANI D.O.C.": Opera Vitivinicola in Valdicembra, Distilleria Pilzer, Azienda Agricola Simoni, Azienda Agricola Zanotelli, Azienda Vitivinicola Villa Corniole, Distilleria Paolazzi and Azienda Vitivinicola Nicolodi Alfio.
We are family owned companies from Cembra, five wineries and two distilleries, whose products encompass not only the passion of generations, but also the history of an area planted with vines since Etruscan times, as evidenced by the discovery of the Situla sul Doss Caslir in Cembra, a discovery that makes the Cembra Valley the cradle of the oldest grape growing in Trentino. The architecture of the landscape, shaped over the centuries with over seven hundred kilometers of dry stone walls, is a witness and soul of the Valley. Its profile has been chosen as the spokesman of our consortium. The Cembrani D.O.C. logo it is the stylization of a glass of wine composed of the initials C and D filled with profiles of dry stone walls, lush with vineyards and bordering the river Avisio which over the centuries has eroded its slopes.
To the Cembra Valley territory and its estimated 708 km of dry stone walls two wines are dedicated:
"708 km Cembrani Bianco" white wine and "708 km Cembrani Rosso" red wine
These wines are the ambassadors of the excellence of the territory of the Cembra Valley and its unique soil and climate peculiarities: the continental climate, the south/east exposure, the porphyry and limestone geological component in the initial part of the valley, the strong temperature range in the pre–harvest period, are the unique features of the Cembra Valley that come from exceptional grapes.
It was born with the name of Consorzio Tutela Vini Soave and Recioto di Soave and gathers both the production workers and the professional categories interested in the vinification and marketing of wine. With its approximately 500,000 hectoliters of wine, Soave represents the largest slice of the controlled denomination of origin productions in the province of Verona (approximately 40%) in which 10% of the Italian DOC and 50% of the Veneto ones are concentrated. . There is no speculative purpose and it is mainly proposed to take actions in favor of? Soave? and? Recioto di Soave such as: -to protect the viticulture in the production area and to defend the production of the same; - to promote the knowledge and diffusion of these oenological products; - to ensure that products with other grapes or defective or that do not have the characteristics of the protected original wine are not put on the market; - to exercise an efficient surveillance, also in collaboration with the State Bodies, to prevent abuses and fraud with the irregular use of the denominations to be protected; - to defend legitimate collective interests in all offices, including legal ones; - assisting the consortium members in the improvement of the vitivinicultural cultivation of the production of protected wines, ensuring that the production disciplinary is correctly applied in the field.
The production area is included in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area north of Udine and more precisely between the municipalities of Nimis and Tarcento. The vineyard area is 60.41 hectares with a production of 2355 hectoliters; the companies registered with the Consortium are currently thirty. The morphology of these hills is particular, are the slopes very steep? over 30%? and very often the work must be done entirely by hand. The terraces are narrow, sometimes less than a meter but, given the differences in height, there is no danger of shading. They represent the most north-eastern point of Friulian viticulture. The Ramandolo basin is dominated by Mount Bernadia whose top reaches 900 meters above sea level and acts as a cover for the cold north winds. The vineyards, all facing south, are located between 250 meters above sea level in Torlano, 369 meters in Ramandolo and 413 meters in Sedilis. The consistent temperature variations in the pre-harvest period determine a kind of climatic island which led to a drastic selection of the cultivated grapes; in addition to Ramandolo, two other indigenous varieties give excellent results here: Picolit and Refosco. The soils are of Eocene marls, unsuitable for almost all crops, but highly suited to viticulture: a soil poor in nutrients, which allows a production of quality rather than quantity. Ramandolo is obtained from Verduzzo Friulano grapes, a yellow clone. The grapevine, which requires medium planting distances, Guyot or Cappuccina training system, has moderate resistance to disease, excellent vigor and good and constant production. The cluster is small, 12-14 centimeters long, has a short and very robust peduncle, and is compact, pyramidal with two clearly visible wings. It has a small, spherical grape with short pedicels, evident rims, short brush and resistant to detachment. The skin is very hard, pruinose, almost amber yellow in color, with a characteristic black point at the apex of the grape. The pulp is juicy, acidic, tannic, fleshy. The pips are three in number, pear-shaped and large. The grape harvest is late, very often with a slight withering on the plant; in fact, the harvest can also arrive at the end of November. The vinification must compulsorily be done within the production area. Years ago the technique? By raising the hat? Was used, that is a light maceration which, given the low temperatures normally reached here in autumn, turned out to be a mild cryomaceration; today the producers adopt the drying of the grapes in special conditioned rooms, obtaining a wine of considerable aromatic complexity. Ramandolo has an antique golden yellow color, has a scent of acacia, ripe fruit, plums and apricots; full-bodied and full-bodied, very long in the mouth? since the pleasant sensation remains for a long time after swallowing? it is slightly tannic, deliciously sweet and recalls the pleasant bitterness of chestnut honey with hints of lime honey. It is a meditation wine, also excellent with foie gras, liver pâté, San Daniele and Sauris ham, smoked trout; nevertheless, it is appreciated with Gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano, aged Pecorino and Montasio, fruit and dry pastries, Gubana. It should be served at a temperature of 10-12 degrees.
