Casa vinicola Natale Verga

The Natale Verga Wine House was founded in 1895 by Enrico Verga and for four generations has been handed down from father to son with the same values of tradition and quality. After more than a century of activity, today the Natale Verga Wine House plays a decisive role in the Italian distribution, as well as being popular in the foreign market.
Currently, the company is led by Natale Verga with the active collaboration of his father Giancarlo and his sisters Cristina and Laura.



The modern and functional establishment is located in the Municipality of Cermenate in the province of Como. It covers an area of 20,000 square meters, with a storage capacity of 25,000 hectoliters. Bottling is done with the use of the most modern technologies. The company has two fully automated bottling lines that guarantee an average production of 10,000 bottles per hour and the capacity of 3,000 bottles of 3 and 5 liters. Thanks to an internal analytical laboratory, equipped with cutting–edge systems, the constant control of all the batches of wine that are processed in the winery is guaranteed.

Giacomo Sperone

Giacomo Sperone was founded by Mr. Antonio Sperone, who in 1911 began a craft production of Vermouth and Fortified Wines in a small winery on the outskirts of Turin. They were heroic times, when goods were delivered only in drums loaded on wagons pulled by horses.

Over the years, after a brief interruption due to the outbreak of the First World War, the activities began a gradual but steady growth while remaining territorially limited in Turin and Piedmont.

Only after the end of World War II, the Company began to gradually expand throughout the national territory and abroad thanks to the initiative of his son Giovanni, a graduate oenologist, who succeeded his father and built in 1960 a new and modern plant in Cusano Milanino, near Milan, equipped with the most modern and avant–garde facilities, thanks to which the Company has been able to grow even more by adding a wide range of Sparkling wines, first of all Asti, in its already wide range.

Between the years 70s and 80s, the two sons of Giacomo, Paolo and Antono, joined the company, who, now, manage it.

In 1984 a new winery in the province of Asti, in Casalotto Mombaruzzo, was built, for the production and bottling of a prestigious range of classic wines of Piedmont with the Neirano brand.

The winery is situated among the most picturesque hills of Monferrato, surrounded by 25 hectares of selected vineyards of property.

The Sperone Group is now a beautiful reality in the Italian wine scene, and can be counted among the most important Italian Companies producing Vermouth and sparkling wines.

Monteverdi Vini

The story of the Monteverdi family has been linked to the world of wine since 1796 with Angelo Maria Monteverdi who, in his tavern, produced the wine to offer to its guests.

From generation to generation we arrive to 1920, when, with Francesco Monteverdi, the first modern winery was founded, that became soon a reality for all the important wines of the valley of the river Po.

But it is with Antonio Monteverdi and thanks to his foresight, that the fame of the family company grew and consolidated with the production of wines from other Italian regions, with the plan to offer its customers quality wines without compromise, honest and sincere, for a daily consumption.

With this vision, today, the Monteverdi brothers continue the family tradition of looking with serenity to the future that father Antonio, with so much passion and tenacity, with insight and foresight, has planned for the future generations.

A certainty of continuity in the tradition of the Monteverdi group, father Antonio would be proud.

The Monteverdi wines in the world

Since more than twenty years now, the MONTEVERDI company is addressed not only to the domestic market but also international. Our products are sold in over 40 countries and export now represents 70% of the company production. The export, in addition to cover the whole of Europe, includes also many extra–European areas such as Africa, the Caribbean, South America and Southeast Asia.

Poderi di San Pietro

Poderi di San Pietro, built at the seat of the former Agricultural Consortium of San Colombano, in 1998, was taken over by the Neuroniagrari company in 2008.

With its 75 hectares of land, of which about 65 cultivated with vines, and a production volume of 4,500 hectoliters of wine a year, the company is a representative of the wine excellence for the whole district and province of Milan.

In its wine cellar of over 4,000 square meters, including 2,000 square meters underground for the barriques, an intelligent technology is used: all tanks are made of steel, heat–conditioned and saturated with nitrogen. The fining of the wine, then, continues into oak barrels until full ripeness.

But to make wines unforgettable and to make them the best expression of the territory, Poderi di San Pietro has the valuable collaboration of Donato Lanati, an oenologist of international fame.

Poderi di San Pietro, in addition to Vineyards, Winery and a Wine Shop, has also space for wine tastings and events: from the Wine Shop to the Caveau of Barriquerie to the Party Hall, all special places for unconventional events.

But, the current estate, wishing to develop the full potential of this extraordinary territory, wanted the company to be not only winemaking, but also a place of rest and leisure to appreciate the natural and cultural beauty of this area. To respond to this desire, the Trianon farmhouse inn and the La Palazzina Country Club, an oasis of peace surrounded by green vineyards of Poderi di San Pietro.

The Trianon farmhouse inn, a romantic petit chateau, of just 12 rooms, is the perfect place to relax, or for special events. La Palazzina Country Club is a pleasant place to spend the summer with large green areas, two swimming pools, a sandy beach, equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, soccer fields, tennis courts, beach volleyball court.

Poderi San Pietro is a complete and attentive to the environment company. In effect, recently is has also invested in a photovoltaic system that allows substantial energy savings in all its activities of winemaking.

Growing vines and making wine is not a job like any other, but a form of respect, curiosity and enthusiasm for that wonder of creation that is vine. Only through a rigorous care, a continuous research and the desire to improve, one can sip a wine that is truly a gift of this land.

And this is the mission of Poderi di San Pietro.

Banino Azienda Agricola Panigada Antonio

In San Colombano, a cozy hamlet located between low Pavia and the flat of Lodi, where the plain turns into picturesque hills, the Panigada family, in addition to the historic store of salami, has been producing for three generations a wine that bears the curious name of "Banino". San Colombano owes its name to the Irish monk that Christianized it in the sixth century and who imported the cultivation of the vine. Its inhabitants are called "Banini", hence the origin of the name of the wine, an exclusive corporate brand.

The hills that rise from the surrounding plains, with an area of approximately 1,400 hectares, date back to the Miocene period, from the geological point of view, when an earthquake would have made them emerge from the sea. This is witnessed by the continuing discoveries of corals, fossils and shells on top of the hills. The Municipality, in effect, hosts a small paleontological museum.




Structure and composition of the soil vary sharply within a few meters, from white soils, rich in clay and limestone, to sandy and silty areas. This diversification of the soils is combined with sun exposure and curves of different level giving rise to a series of very interesting micro–zones and microclimates, which paired with a perfect exposure allow to harvest grapes of the highest quality. The management of the owned vineyards is very attentive to the environmental aspect. To prove this, grass and wildflowers fill vineyards, since no use of herbicides is made. Their mowing and subsequent decomposition nourish vines, not fertilizers of chemical origin.




In the growing season, the fungal protection is implemented using mainly sulfur and copper, without treatment with fungicides.




The harvest, totally manual, is carried out in boxes to protect the integrity and the fragrance of grapes ready to crushing.

Azienda Agricola Pasini San Giovanni

Chiaretto, Groppello and Lugana are the three great wines that tell Garda and the passion of the Pasini family, who cultivates its vineyards in Valtnesi and Lugana.

In the San Giovanni farm, on the Brescia’s Riviera of Lake Garda, the Pasini vinify their own grapes, with particular attention to local varieties, to make wines of pure territorial expression.

Now firmly adopted by Andrea Pasini since 1958, the care of a unique land, which can produce such authentic wines, made of cobblestone and permeable hills in Valtnesi and of solid clay in Lugana, today has became a strong determination to safeguard environmental resources.

The modern winery has been housing since 2009 a photovoltaic plant useful to supply the company and the whole production chain, the Pasini reveal more and more a
responsible use of raw materials, showing a design of full sustainability, which the family has undertaken with determination.

Very recent is the indication on the label of the carbon imprint, ie the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere to produce each bottle. A key parameter for evaluating the overall environmental impact of the company.

The winery of the San Giovanni farm is associated with the Consortia for the protection of the two DOC of the territory in which it cultivates the vineyards owned, Valtnesi/Garda Classico and Lugana, and is in the forefront in the promotion of the new Valtnesi DOC, the designation that finally defines Valtnesi as an ancient Italian territory of great rosé wines and elegant red wines.

Next to the cellar, in ancient farmhouse, Osteria della Cantina – Villa Pasini has been founded, an informal meeting place, that combines local cuisine with the wines of San Giovanni and of the great Italian oenology.

The winery of the San Giovanni company is located in Raffa di Puegnago del Garda.

The company has about 40 hectares of vineyard: 30 in Valtenesi, divided into Raffa di Puegnago and Picedo di Polpenazze and a little less than 10 in Lugana, in San Benedetto di Lugana.

Fay

The Fay farm was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay who, starting from the small family wine production, decided to develop this activity. In 1971 the work of construction of the company’s suit in San Giacomo di Teglio began; in subsequent years the vineyard area of the farm was extended with the union of several plots. Since 1998 Sandro Fay has been joined by his children Marco and Elena. Our commitment is aimed to the enhancement of individual vineyards that, according to the peculiarities of soil and altitude, give rise to different wines and of strong personality.

Aldo Rainoldi

The company was founded in 1925 by Aldo Rainoldi, son of Giuseppe, already established at that time as a trader/exporter of wines and agricultural products in the nearby Switzerland.
In the early 70s the Aldo Rainoldi Wine House knew a flourishing time characterized by the development of foreign markets with wines that are the result both of a careful selection in the vineyard, and of a refined knowledge of winemaking technique. Currently, the company is located in Chiuro, the real heart of the wine production in the valley, and continues to be focused on the efforts of the Rainoldi family. The company, in addition to producing grapes from the vineyards of its property, collaborates with a dense network of small vinegrowers constantly monitored by a trusted technician, which allow it to produce 200,000 bottles per year.

La Brugherata

Brugherata is owned by the Bendinelli family and is located in Scanzorosciate, an ancient municipality of winemaking tradition, located seven kilometers east of Bergamo, in the middle of the production area of Moscato di Scanzo. Founded in the late 80s, now boasts a production of 10 hectares of vineyards and 1 of olive groves. The commitment in qualitative research has led to produce wines that are the fruit of the land, harmonic and caressing the palate, the maximum expression of the pleasure of drinking. The company blends admirably the pursuit of excellence in quality and respect for the territory, completed by a passion for the aesthetic and the surrounding landscape. In the midst of the vineyards there are fruit trees, a multitude of flowers and Mediterranean plants, including 15,000 rose bushes. From the hill top, dominated by olive groves and an artificial lake, you can enjoy the view of this natural spectacle. The land of Bergamo has shown to be able to give great wines and Brugherata has found confirmation of this through various awards, but especially thanks to the consent of admirers. The company’s motto is "Wine of art" because there a lot in common between the artist and the winegrower, between a beautiful picture and a good wine: patience, love, imagination and will. The true symbol of the Doge Moscato di Scanzo DOCG, a historic wine of the historic oenology of Bergamo produced exclusively in the Scanzorosciate municipality is going with no doubt to be counted among the great Italian raisin wines. The holder Paul Bendinelli has the merit of the establishment of the Consortium for the Protection of Moscato di Scanzo, of which he was the President until 2010 and in the obtaining of the DOCG. In addition to Moscato, excellent white and red wines, a brut of a great character and ultimately a delicate and sweet extra virgin olive oil, typically similar to the oil of Garda, are produced.

Mamete Prevostini

The story of Mamete Prevostini is that of an Italian winery that began to love Italian wine more than 70 years ago and which has a close connection with the territory: Valtellina, one of the most important terraced wine–growing areas in the mountain in Italy.

Since ancient times it has been the center of an important node of communication: it unites Italy and Switzerland and northern Europe. Roads walked for centuries by peoples and civilizations that have left their contribution, today easily recognizable through traditions, culture and local products.

Around the most important of all, wine, a great civilization that has had continuity in the prestigious tradition of the production of Valtellina wines has been created, focusing on one of the greatest grape varieties in the world: Nebbiolo.

Nino Negri

Nino Negri represents today a wine reality of the Valtellina area that combines in the best way tradition and technology. To obtain great results it is necessary to work always with the maximum effort and to invest continuously in the winery and in the vineyards.

Today the winery owns 1,500 new barrels of French and American oak and has completed the replacement of the large barrels with more than 100 barrels of smaller size, to allow a greater selection of the masses. The same thing applies for new tanks and more modern vinification plants that allow to implement new systems of winemaking. 11 of the 34 hectares of property have been replanted with new clones of Nebbiolo and new planting systems with circuiting terraces.
