Cantina Mascarello Bartolo

Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy

The Cisa Asinari Estates of the Marquis of Grésy, owned by the family of Grésy since 1797, were founded as a winery in 1973 by the will of Alberto of Grésy.

The vineyards are located between the Langhe and Monferrato, places known to be valuable and representative for the production for wines of Piedmont.

The owned farms cultivated with vines are four: Martinenga, in the heart of the town of Barbaresco, Monte Aribaldo in the town of Treiso, in the province of Cuneo, La Serra and Monte Colombo in the municipality of Cassine, in the province of Alessandria.

Martinenga is the real center of the farm, where the grapes from other owned vineyards are conferred and vinified in respect of tradition and nature, to produce wines of the highest quality with the aim to transfer faithfully, as much as possible, the identity of the vineyard in a bottle.

Our company can produce different wines suitable for the whole meal, each of which is typical expression of the character and the personality of its territory of origin. And thanks to a careful work in the vineyard and in the wine cellar our white and red wines can be enjoyed even several years after bottling.

Brovia

The Meirana covers 100 hectares, of which 63 are specialized in Cortese vines and 2 in red berry grape varieties. The cultivation system is traditional Guyot. The name Meirana is linked to the history of Gavi, in effect, one of the first documents that refer to the name Gavi is preserved in the archive of the State of Genoa and refers to vineyards and chestnut woods in the Meirana locality.

This document, dated 971 AD, marks the winemaking tradition of the area that coincides with the dawn of the history of the municipality of Gavi.

Azienda Vitivinicola Broglia was founded by Bruno Broglia, continuing over time a thousand year tradition, which is now being pursued with commitment and passion by his sons Gian Piero and Paolo. At Meirana, in the 80s, the clonal research on the Cortese vine began, in collaboration with the faculty of Agriculture of the University of Turin and under the direction of Professor Scienza of the faculty of Agriculture of the University of Milan. More studies have been conducted in the cellar, concerning especially the absence of sulfur dioxide in winemaking.

They selected and certified 3 new clones that have been planted in recent years in our new vines covering 15 hectares.

Gavi La Meirana has been served on the tables of the Vatican on the occasion of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Pontificate of Pope John Paul II. It was present even on the occasion of the G8 meeting in L’Aquila in July 2009, and offered during official banquets in the offices of the Italian Embassies.

The first bottles were put on the market in 1974, exactly in year when Gavi obtained the designation of origin. Then, with a gradual schedule of investments, the farmhouses on the property were restructured.

The winery for vinification and bottling was built in 1982 and in the year 2000 was enlarged and restructured. The basic production marketed under the brand Gavi DOCG of Gavi La Meirana, which bears the name of the estate, is characteristic for its balanced almond taste and can be combined with dishes based on fish and white meat.

The most valuable wine produced, is the selection Gavi DOCG of Gavi Bruno Broglia, that comes from vineyards planted in 1953 and 1955. The yield of these vineyards, on average, in the different vintages, ranges from 30 to 40 quintals per hectare, ie about one–third of that provided by the rules of Gavi. The harvest takes place in fruit crates, after a selection of the best grapes and, after eight months of aging in stainless steel tanks, all their minerality stands out. The Bruno Broglia company got the best prizes and ratings on Italian and foreign food and wine guides and magazines.

Another cru comes from the Villa Broglia vineyard, whose name it bears. Moreover, are produced: Spumante Brut Roverello with controlled designation of origin and guaranteed, with the indication “Gavi” of the Municipality of Gavi, and Spumante Brut Roverello Rosè, both obtained with the Charmat method. In the most favorable vintages, Spumante Extra Brut Broglia is produced with the traditional classic method.

La Piana

La Piana organic farm is located on the island of Capraia, inside the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. The area to which it belongs, called Il Piano S. Stefano, is a magical and pristine place where aromas, sounds, traditions and colors blend with ancient flavors and knowledge, where time seems to stand still. It can be reached within walking distance from the village, taking the local road with a traffic light, a journey of 20 minutes.

Here lived in different eras: Romans, anachorites, and Saracens with their raids, due to to the generosity of these soils, the only flat soils of the island, able to provide everything necessary for their own subsistence. In the last century, the area was leased out to the penal colony and the prisoners worked this land until the disposal of the prison.

In 2000, when the Mediterranean maquis threatened to overwhelm everything, a careful and difficult environmental restoration of the area began, that reported these places to their original splendor, giving back to our eyes an ancient territory of outstanding beauty. The landscape, guarded by the presence of the farm labor, designed by the discontinuity of the rows of vines in the Mediterranean maquis, terraces, stone walls, ancient cisterns, native and ornamental species such as oleander, rosemary, old rose. A perfect integration among agriculture of quality, environmental protection and historical memory.

Castell'In Villa

Castell'in Villa winery is a family-owned and operated winery that has been producing high-quality wines for over 1,000 years. Tenuta di Trinoro

Tenuta del Trinoro is a prestigious winery known for producing exceptional, high-quality wines. The winery is committed to sustainability and uses only organic and biodynamic farming methods. Badia a Coltibuono

Badia a Coltibuono or the abbey of the good harvest, was founded by the monks of Vallombrosa about a thousand years ago, as a place of worship and meditation. In 1051, the monks of the Vallombrosa order began to build the monastery of the Good Harvest planting at the same time the first vines in this area.

In the fifteenth century Coltibuono experienced a further development under the patronage of Lorenzo de’ Medici. In 1810, under the Napoleonic rule, the monks were forced to leave Coltibuono. In the following years, the property was first sold through a lottery, and in 1846 and was bought by Michele Giuntini, Florentine banker and ancestor of the present owners.

Under the guidance of Piero Stucchi Prinetti, the farm was transformed into a company establishing itself in Italy and abroad. Today, his children Emanuela, Paolo and Guido continue the work undertaken by their ancestors more than a century ago.

Cantina Montepeloso

Located in one of the areas of noblest winemaking vocation, Azienda Montepeloso, founded in 1999, owns 7 hectares of vineyards planted with vines and produces great wines, that have already obtained some prestigious recognitions.

Querciabella

The Querciabella farm was founded in the far 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni. We are in the heart of Chianti, all here is done in harmony with nature. For some years they are proceeding with the conversion to bio–dynamic cultivation, and for the winery only certified French wood barrels were purchased (for each keg the replanting of various oaks is planned). The rows, kissed by the sun, thanks to a wonderful southern exposure, arrive even to 490 meters above sea level, which gives great complexity and aromas to the wines.



The wines of Querciabella are very rich and full–bodied, but more elegant than powerful. Of course, given the location of the estate, it is the prince among the rows of Sangiovese, in some cases accompanied by local grape varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, but always respecting the terroir. This use of international varieties is given by the great love of Pepito Castiglioni for France. A feeling of admiration which, of course, also Sebastiano has, and that led him to maintain the very high quality of the wines produced by Querciabella.

Stella di Campalto

The San Giuseppe Farm is composed of more or less 15 hectares of woods, olive groves of 1920 and vines (about 6 hectares).

Each of the six vineyards can be considered a small Cru with its own personality and its own character: which is then harvested and vinified separately and individually deposited in one or more tanks. Therefore, vines are treated with attention, to preserve the ecosystem that surrounds the vineyards and the Company. The results are healthy, strong and tasty grapes, expressions of each vintage, which give different wines over the years, closely related to our land.

Our company is certified ORGANIC (BIO) since 1996 and has been applying biodynamic methods since 2002.
