It is a white grape variety which is part of the large wine family of Trebbiani, spread in central and northern part of Italy. Due to its high productivity and good disease resistance, Trebbiano is still very spread in Italian vine variety, but also in the French ones, so that is the most widely grown vine in the world. There are more varieties of Trebbiano: Trebbiano di Soave, the Yellow, the Romagna, Abruzzo and Tuscany. It is a vine used in the composition of Chianti as well. In pure vinification it get wines of pale straw yellow colour with greenish verdacei, on the nose has an intense and enveloping and a fresh flavour with hints of almonds.
