He has elevated to international fame small territories like Colle Sant’Antonio, Monte Grande and Morandina. Prestigious small crus placed in highly suited wine growing districts. Essentiality and respect for the land are the principles that underpin its history. Purity is a substantial word for the wines by Graziano. He loves his vineyards and cultivates them with wisdom and humility. In the winery he prefers the preservation of fruits and all the research and development is focused on the enhancing of the high quality of the grapes that come from the field. Our company is located in Monteforte d’Alpone, in the province of Verona, a small village at the foot of the hills. The annual production of our wines varies on average between 650,000 and 700,000 bottles:
San Vincenzo, the two cru Capitel Foscarino and Capitel Croce, raisin wine, I Capitelli and Cabernet Sauvignon Realda.
The experience gained from the Grandi family and the entrenched vinegrowing and winemaking bases soon bear fruit. In the early 90s, still very young, he was called as a consultant by companies which wanted to produce wines of high and excellent quality. After 15 years of work, the basic concept that led to the creation of the I Campi company is consolidated in Flavio. The excellent quality of the wine originates from a set of interrelated factors which are: the optimization of viticulture, the optimization of the winery, and last not least THE TERROIR and in particular the land on which vines are grown. From this concept, the search for land (Campi) in areas of very high wine–growing vocation begins, and this is why the wines of the I Campi farm are called with the name of the soil profile from which they come. The company today cultivates about 12 hectares of land in management divided into Soave Classico and Valpolicella DOC. The Soave vineyards are located in one of the most well–known crus of the classic area in the territory of Costeggiola, in the Soave district, and lie to height differences of about 200 m.
In Monteforte d’Alpone, area of production of Soave Classico, the seat of the Gini farm is located, a production reality that has always been a point of reference for the quality of its wines. The brothers, Sandro and Claudio, deal personally with the management of more than 30 hectares of vineyards located in some of the hilly positions with the highest winegrowing vocations. Thanks to this company, it is possible to know how to reconcile the love for tradition with the most modern techniques of work and refinement that today’s wine–growing profession demands. In the new cellar, dug into the tufa rock, the precious wines produced by this company are kept. Their motto, "quality first", is an imperative that rhymes with seriousness, simplicity, friendliness and passion for their work.
The Cantina di Monteforte d'Alpone was constituted in March of 1952 like a society between 80 winegrowers of the zone, with the common love for the land and the grapevine ,in a sunny area of hills, dedicated to preserve the quality of wine.
Actually, the Cantina di Monteforte S.c.a. amount to 600 members with 1300 hectares of vineyard (the 80 % is D.O.C.).
The lands by which come from the grapes are mainly hill and of volcanic origin and give to the wines an unmistakable taste.
