My company covers 3.5 hectares in San Giovanni Ilarione in the province of Verona, at the foothills of the Lessinia area in the Alpone Valley (on the south–east side of Mount Cimo, between 300 and 500 meters above sea level). On a clay–limestone soil, I pursue the goal to recover a variety that is going lost, the Durella, a grape variety existing in the area for about a thousand years. In the vineyard I have chosen early to want to work in full respect of what is around me and of myself.

The Dal Cero family has been producing wine for over three generations, combining the love for tradition with the most modern wine-making techniques needed for the production of great wines.
With vineyards in the Veneto and Tuscany regions, the brothers Giuseppe and Dario, with the help of their sons, personally manage the company, from the cultivation of the grapevines to the vinification of the grapes up to the bottling process. The results are wines of a unique character, which hold all the intensity of a product made according to the tradition of expert vine-dressers, combined with a note of modernity.

According to an eonological map dated 1906, the name LENOTTI was already known in the past for the production of the Bardolino classico. At that time the farm sold wines exclusively in butts or demijohns. In the following years untill 1968 the farm constantly increased its production of high-quality wines, by making wine from local grapes and supplying the numerous bottlers of the neighbourhood. Since 1968, the farm has been bottling and selling the wines directly with the main goal of supplying our clients with high quality products at competitive prices.
More than forty years have passed since our parents founded this farm: small, unpretentious, but supported by much enthusiasm. Until not long ago, the wine productions were conferred to the local Cooperative Winery.
Today, seven among brothers and cousins, we inherited a company that has fully involved and engaged us, reaching considerable size. Love for the country life and passion for the cultivation of the vine, in the first place, have decreed the birth of Latium. We are engaged in the production of valuable wines like Soave, Valpolicella and Amarone, quintessence of our warm lands of Illasi, whose nobility finds their most deeply rootes in history.
The origins of our village are traced back to the ancient Romans, who, passing through remote lands of conquest, found here an ideal environment for the cultivation of vines, olives and fruit trees. Soon, local people called them Latii, those of Lazio, describing them as foreigners, strangers. The historical finds, some worn stones, came to light by chance, bearing witness that we, with ill–concealed pride, we are the custodians of two thousand years of history.
Two thousand years that have invited our rural populations to the taming of these wild lands, and now we offer you the good that nature has given and that the whole world envies us: our wine. The memory makes great a country and everything that makes our past the result of passion, dedication and sacrifice. The Latium name remembers us and to all those who appreciate good wine that our roots are ancient and noble, as noble and ancient are the scents of the wines that we offer.

Four brothers and a love for wine which began in their father's vineyards in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli in the Valpolicella district which produces the most famous wines in the Verona area: Amarone, Valpolicella and Soave. The brothers, driven by the desire to put themselves to the test outside the family business, soon found themselves embarking on a new adventure. Forerunners of their time, they worked as technical consultants for years, creating innovative "turnkey" solutions throughout Italy. The unique experience they gained led them to a momentous decision. In 1989 they purchased 30 hectares of land around Mezzane which, when added to their father's property, brought the Tenuta Sant'Antonio vineyards to its current total of 50 hectares.The time was right for them to take the plunge. Armando, Paolo, Tiziano and Massimo Castagnedi decided to produce their own wine, becoming vinedressers and earning a name for themselves for their quality and professionalism. It was a real challenge. The decision to plant new vines alongside the existing vineyards and to build a new winery in the Monti Garbi area (which in dialect means "sour" or "hard"), demanded courage and a keen business sense: two qualities which the Castagnedi brothers are not short on. For more than twenty years, while many wine producers were focusing on quantity, the Castagnedi clan rewrote the rulebook, concentrating wholly on quality. Ever since it was established, Tenuta Sant'Antonio has remained faithful to certain principles: tending to the vine branch by branch, carefully handpicking the bunches, low yield per plant, keeping the grapes meticulously clean from when they are picked to when they are taken to the winery

The story of the Manara winery is like the story of other small wine producers in the Valpolicella Classico area. It was established in 1950 and the owners have been running it for three generations, maintaning local wine-making traditions with growing experience and passion.
The progressive development that took place in the last few years was surely due to the new generation represented by the three brothers Lorenzo, Fabio and Giovanni Manara, who directly follow the entire production and marketing process.
The enlargement of the winery, with the new and practical wine cellar, facilitates and optimises the different phases of the production. Moreover it allows to obtain quality wines maintaining their typicality unchanged.
It is since the beginning of 1900 that Azienda Agricola F.lli Degani has dedicated their full effort to wine growing, but it is only since 970 that they have started making wine ad selling it in the Province of Verona.
With the retirement of Sante Degani ad the approach of the younger members of the family the three nephews, Aldo Degani, Luca Degani and Zeno Degani changed course and aimed for new achievements. Aldo with the help of Luca, now take care of the winemaking whereas Zeno is now responsible of the vineyards.
Since 1988 the Azienda Agricola F.lli Degani has dedicated their work and effort to produce high quality wines, commercialise them both on the national and international markets and build the winery's brands and image.
