The DONNA CATERINA farm was born and consolidated in the area between the Piave river and the hills of Conegliano. Located in Vazzola, a flat and fertile land, suited to viticulture, the company is affected by the strong territoriality and ancient traditions that still survive. From this reality, over the course of several generations, a product rich in history and passion was born. The wines derive exclusively from land worked directly by the company by qualified and expert winemakers. The vine is cultivated with care and dedication, confident that the best results do not derive from intensive practice but from an important evaluation of that delicate balance that exists between plant, soil and climate. The goal is the search for the ideal balance in the field that results in an important wine, strong in the harmony of its aromas and flavors. To this day this mentality is still alive, training, agronomic knowledge and oenological innovations are fundamental requisites to obtain the excellent level of quality of one's wines. Father and son, both oenologists, trained and graduated from the Conegliano oenological school, the most renowned and prestigious in Italy. Even the winery of the company is always ready to innovate technologically, investing in the latest generation of winemaking machinery and recently starting a structural adjustment of the plant. A necessary step given the production growth of the company that takes place gradually and measured with an eye always turned to the origins.

Even the winery of the company, Always ready to renovate itself technologically, investing on cutting edge winemaking equipments, has recently initiated a structural adjustment of the structure. A necessary step, given the company’s productivity growth that takes place in a gradual and measured way with a look to the origins. The wines produced are the most traditional of the Piave lands.
The Cecchetto winery, founded from a long family tradition that combines the cultivation of vines and wine production, is situated in Tezze di Piave, in the heart of Doc Piave area, in the province of Treviso.
The story of Giorgio Cecchetto is inextricably interwoven with that of his homeland and his most important grape variety, Raboso del Piave, a vine difficult to tame but capable of hitting with its rough character, bold, sometimes surly. Therefore, the production and the majority of corporate efforts are aimed at the enhancement of this wine, his favorite son. In this winery you can taste different tests, interpretations, versions, experiments, discussing about wood, fining, grape harvests, winemaking strategies, withering, regarding this vine of the province of Treviso traditionally prone to harshness and here interpreted according to a more modern style.
A long–standing passion and a constant intensity, the one that since 1860 has been accompanying the activities of the Bellussi farm, founded in Tezze di Piave and raised in the name of quality. In 2005, the company has achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification by the CSQ. The Company has been cooperating for years with the Oenology School of Conegliano, with the Experimental Institute for Agriculture of Conegliano, with the faculty of Agriculture of the University of Padua, with the Consortium of Defense. Our products: red wines, Cabernet Franc; Cabernet Sauvignon; Malbech; Marzemino; Merlot; Pinot Nero; Pinot Rosé; Raboso; Raboso Rubino; Refosco; Rosso delle Vare. White wines: Chardonnay; Malvasia; Pinot Blanc; Pinot Gris; Prosecco; Riesling; Sauvignon, Manzoni; Verduzzo; Bianco delle Vare; Muller Thurgau, Il Piave (frizzante).
To get into the winery you pass through the "cortivo", typical of the Treviso’s countryside of the sixteenth century, consisting of a double row of buildings that contained the characteristic features of the time like a wine cellar, a barn, a well, a dovecote. Elements that can still be found in the office of Bonotto delle Tezze.
In the courtyard they meet friends and clients; as two centuries ago, wagons with grapes ready for crushing arrive.
The winery consists of a two–story barn. The top floor, once used as a barn, is now used as the loft for the drying of grapes.
In the two rooms below, the old vats for fining are hosted.
Next to this building there is a modern winery, designed by architect Toni Follina from Treviso. A perfect place for making wine and refining the wine in ideal conditions to enhance the potentials of the grapes we grow. The territory is characterized by an incredible variability arising especially from such close but such different lands. Our goal is to deliver the best of every single identity.
