Guia is a a succession of steep hills covered with vineyards of Prosecco.
Here the valleys are called "Fossi". Marai the name of the most profound valley of Guia. At the beginning of the century, the grandfather of the owner of Foss Marai, Luigi, started a business as a the winemaker that led him to sell the barrels of his sparkling wine.
At nearly a hundred years later Carlo Biasiotto, with his family, led Foss Marai to cover the prestigious role of a company known for the excellent quality of its sparkling wines and the elegance of all its bottles.
The Foss Marai always aims to continuously improve all its products, to never be satisfied with the successes achieved, to develop and produce still and sparkling wines that meet modern tastes, without necessarily follow trends.
In 1919, after the First World War, Antonio founded "Cantine Franco" in Valdobbiadene, a village on the slopes of the Alpine foothills in the Veneto region, famous for growing grapes of Prosecco, from which the wine of the same name is produced. With his son Nino, the company grew and was expanded. However, it was thanks to Primo that, in the 70s, a modern approach to the firm was given.
After earning his degree at the School of Oenology in Conegliano Veneto, driven by the desire to develop the business in a creative and personal way, he excluded all those products that did not identify with the Valdobbiadene area, renowed the plants, thought about the techniques and labels. In those years, through a new styling and thanks to a constant product quality, the company won the Italian market.
At the same time he decided to begin to expand in foreign markets: Europe, the Americas and Asia. The product is very much appreciated and various tributes, awards and prizes are awarded it both abroad and in Italy. In the early 90s, sustained by the belief that a good wine is obtained by controlling the production from the beginning, he embarks on a new adventure with the conduct of a vineyard where experiments with new techniques of planting and use of the old clones. Moreover, it also keeps with its bestower of grapes a close collaboration that is aimed at the development of his idea of exploitation of the variety.
The final result is a fresh, fruity and floral Prosecco, in which you can enjoy all the potentialities of the area of Valdobbiadene.
The key to this success lies in the strong belief and philosophy that puts emphasis on quality, through a meticulous control of all phases of production.
Thanks to this dynamism and continuous desire to improve the product, Primo created a Prosecco praised for its high quality and personality.
The DOC Montello and Asolo Hills area extends north–west of the city of Treviso, in the earliest piedmont belt. The area is represented by two foothill and hill belts, that are very long and are oriented from east to west, united by a plain zone and by the Mecato Vecchio hills of Montebelluna and Caerano San Marco. Its hydrography is characterized in the north by the river Piave and in the south by Canal del Bosco, which runs at the foot of Montello. The surface substrate of the land located in the Montello area consists predominantly of clays with iron of dark reddish brown color.
The care about quality of wines goes hand in hand with the enhancing of the characteristics associated with ancient and tried winemaking traditions of the Montello area, always devoted to viticulture, thanks to the peculiar constitution of the soil and its lucky exposure, two crucial elements that generated hydrogeological conditions optimal for the cultivation of the great vineyards: Cabernet, Merlot and Prosecco, which draw the slopes and plains of the area.
Here there is a small winery that for more than twenty years has been considered the best interpreter of Cabernet in the North–East of Italy.
That Serafini & Vidotto in Nervesa della Battaglia, in the heart of the Gioiosa Marca Trevigiana, is a story of passion and respect. Passion for the land and for the wine made by two friends, skilled winemakers, experimenters, pioneers. Respect for the land, traditions and limits that do not allow to get quantity in spite of quality, large amounts through the sacrifice of excellence. And this is a love that looks forward, with a cutting edge wine cellar, today an example of a functional architecture in harmony with the landscape, the seasons and the work of men.
It is no coincidence that Serafini & Vidotto has given birth to Rosso dell’Abbazia, a wine that has marked the history of Italian winemaking.
In the heart of the production area of Prosecco DOC di Conegliano Valdobbiadene, nestled among the hills of Vittorio Veneto, not far from the majestic Dolomites and the magical city of Venice, Bellenda not only produces sparkling wines, but also Colli di Conegliano DOC and other typical products of the Treviso area.
In 2000, the Bisol family initiated its own agricultural activity, resuming a family tradition rooted in past centuries. Currently, the farm, called Aletheia, consists of 23 hectares, 13 of which are vineyards. About 9 hectares, in the Caonada resort on the southern side of Montello, are planted with Pinot, gray and black. The systems are designed in a modern viewpoint of high quality, with 5,000 vines per hectare in low yield per unit. Other 5 hectares are set in a beautiful and sunny hill in Nervesa. Here, we have planted 3 hectares of Prosecco, with a significant presence of Perera, Verdiso, Bianchetta and Boschera, to recreate the blend of the grapes historically present in our hills. In Nervesa about an hectare and a half of Recantina was planted, an ancient red grape variety of the high Treviso area, which we helped to recover, thanks to a long collaboration with the Experimental Institute for Viticulture of Conegliano.
Today, the vineyards of the Bisol farm have an extension of 125 hectares and are located in 35 farmhouses nestled in the steep hills ranging from Valdobbiadene to Conegliano, the most suited areas of the designation.
An area highly fragmented and dotted with small possessions, so that the average extent of each property is of a little more than one hectare. They are also productive realities, in which the various stages of the supply chain (vinegrowing, winemaking and sparkling wine making) are often carried out by different companies.
Knowing these specific aspects of the territory allows you to fully understand the importance of or the added value of Bisol: one of the very few companies that directly manage the entire production chain, from the careful choice of the land to bottling. It allows us to guarantee the highest quality performance, since each stage determines the final quality of the product, and requires a constant and strict control.
Worth to a special mention are the 3 hectares owned by the Bisol family on the Cartizze hill: an area that winds up a steep hill ridge, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, and enjoys wonderful sun exposure, as well a continuous ventilation that together with the sandy nature of the soil makes of it an area of rare value. As many as 140 owners divide the 106 hectares of the Cartizze hill, and the value of the land has reached staggering quotations: more than a 2.5 million euro for one hectare.
Historical records date back to the Middle Ages the viticulture of the hills of Treviso. Here they produced excellent white wines, which, as written in 1606, were exported and appreciated "in Venice, Germany and even in the far Poland". It was a natural selection to impose the Prosecco wine court of the Alta Marca of Treviso area and especially in the area of Valdobbiadene, where it has been reigning since then on the steep slopes of the hills of hte Pliocene age. The environment is harsh, we are close to the first peaks of the Dolomites, but well protected and kissed by the warm light of midday. Here, in this environment of very deep peasant roots and rich in tradition, our story begins. In 1920, grandfather Abele purchased from Count Balbi Valier a Vineyard, naturally arranged as an amphitheater. Beautiful and full of promise. A land with which to start. Together with his son Adriano, grandfather Abele created a bond that was never untied: Prosecco of Casa Adami.
A young oenologist and a relatively recent company: all the possible enthusiasm of young and carefree drinking, along with structure and flavor, typical of this highly suited area in the heart of the designation. There is quality, and you can see it. A great combination, the result of a great selection, of crude wine filtration only through spin dryer, to keep intact part of the lees, respecting timeliness and moods of wine. A small no global revolution in the quiet Refrontolo area. The wines produced in this company are all made from Prosecco grapes of property where, with very modern winemaking facilities, you go from soft pressing to fermentation in temperature–controlled containers and then into autoclaves for fermentation. Prosecco ColSaliz is proposed in two versions: sparkling and frizzante. Among the leading products, we include: Prosecco Treviso D.O.C., Prosecco D.O.C.G. Brut and Prosecco D.O.C. Treviso Vintage.
Cantina Produttori of Valdobbiadene, built in 1952 by the will of a group of winemakers, can count on more than 600 wine producers, who have been cultivating, for generations, more than 650 hectares of vineyards. The wines that the winery produces are the result of a good winemaking technique and of proven vinegrowing and agronomic experience. The sparkling wines are obtained with the charmat method and the the classic still wines express, year by year, continuously, their fine quality and natural elegance.
The origins of the Busco Abbey date back to the fourteenth century, and already in the eigteenth century Gaspare Gozzi praised the quality of the wines produced by the ancient Abbey and destined for the tables of nobles. Perhaps, also for this reason, Marco Zeno decided to build his residence in these place with the help of the best architect of the time: Andrea Palladio. Today, the direct descendants of the Zeno family continue to produce fine wines, following the ancient winemaking methods, leaving their wines to age in precious oak barrels and using only grapes from their vines.
The jewel of the company is definitely Buschino, left to age for two years in order to enhance its unique features. In the production, are worth to mention: Pinot Grigio, Cabernet and Doge, a prestigious wine and exclusive prerogative of the Venetian nobility to which it is dedicated.
Colli di Farrò farm is located on the road that from Pieve di Soligo leads to Follina, in La Bella locality. The route continues on the ridges of the gentle hills that leat to Farrò, allowing you to admire the Pre–Alps that delimit the Marca Gioiosa area. A few kilometers away, we find the white wine route, among the very first created in Italy, for the gentleness of hills, for the healthiness of climate, for the charming sequence of Prosecco vineyards. In this landscape, quiet and harmonious, we find Colli di Farrò farm, belonging to the controlled designation of origin guaranteed (DOCG) of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano.
The Winery of Ponte di Piave represents one of the most important winemaking realities in north–eastern Italy. The cooperative, founded in 1948 by 12 vinegrowers, has about 1,500 members with 2,000 hectares of vineyards north of Venice, to the hills of Treviso, with a production of 35 million kilos of grapes and 26 million liters of wine a year. Our company boasts four points of collection and vinification: the winery of Villorba (Treviso), the Basso Piave winery in Eraclea (Venice), the winery of Caposile (Venice), as well as the historic seat of Ponte di Piave (Treviso), where also the bottling plant is located. At every winery and in Vedelago (Treviso), you can find points of direct sale and tasting. This presence within the territory characterized by the DOC Piave and a favorable climate, allows to select and then to offer wines featured by a strong territorial identity and typicality.

It chose to treat in the best way a selected quantity of grapes to be directed to a few connoisseurs. Its customers are mainly private, since the quality and genuineness have always been its strength, but also wine bars and catering establishments, run by those who prefer to ensure their customers an exclusive and refined product. The richness of the land and love for the ancient tradition gives life to its fine variety of wines. Rivabassa farm deals with the production and sale of Prosecco DOC and DOCG wine. The company is located in the well known village of Col San Martino, where there are also its vineyards. It produces and sells Prosecco DOC wine both in bulk and bottled.
