The sotry of the Cavicchioli Wineries origins in 1928, when Umberto Cavicchioli decided to produce wine. Since then, from father to son, from generation to generation, experience and passion have been handed down over the years to make Cavicchioli a known and safe reference point, a balance point in the world of Lambrusco of Modena.

Spouses Buffagni belong to that type, typical of Modena, of skilled entrepreneurs with their feet firmly rooted in tradition. Around this precious prerogative, they have been able to create a rare and unique "Lambrusco". The link with an identifiable territory close to the Modena hills, allows to have an excellent raw material. The winery has also the privilege of being typical from the architectural point of view, surrounded by farm buildings of nice workmanship, from which the well–made rows of vines owned begin. The visit turns out to be a pleasant journey back to the smells and the stones of clay impregnated for a long time with the smell of grapes and their long processing towards the transformation in the precious liquid. Informed choices in winemaking techniques and a constant search for the best of this wine, thanks to the focus on quality and genuineness, gives us a range of Lambrusco wines rich in personality and body, always important. Attention to the smallest details of every ingredient is necessary to achieve a high standard of quality, highlighted by many small details, such as the use of a particularly dark bottle, a legacy of old but always grounded concepts tied to the advantage resulting from the refinement of the Lambrusco wine in a poor light, a necessary condition for the purpose of a prudent preservation of the beautiful deep ruby red color, that is typical. Certainly, companies like this indicate to the consumer that the recovery of this wine is a process that is fortunately irreversible and is already well under way. Thanks to continuous and patient efforts of wineries such as Barbolini, the market is increasingly demanding and qualified, finds significant answers, and incorporates interest in a wine that today establishes itself forcefully to the attention due to its modernity and its many opportunities of food pairing. Since 1885 the Fattoria Casetto dei Mandorli winery has been producing fine wines in Predappio Alta, an area of great historical importance in the viticulture of Romagna.
Since the year 1000, as reported by the municipal statutes of the time, the local economy has been based on the production of Sangiovese in numerous vineyards divided by feudal lordships among the "vinegrowers", who carefully cultivated the tree of Bacchus.
Giuseppe Nicolucci is the heir of three generations of winemakers, who have always lovingly cared for the historic vineyards of the family in Predappio Alta and for the ancient underground cellars, where Sangiovese reinforces in oak.
Fattoria Casetto dei Mandorli is the typical Italian family–run winery, based on the concept that vines, soil and climate are all one; this is why it continues to be the point of reference of Romagna and the forerunner of producers of Sangiovese. Today the winery and vineyards are managed with the same principles by Alessandro, winemaker and fourth generation of the family.
Predappio has its own microclimate, its traditions and its history, all this is reflected in the wines of "Fattoria Casetto dei Mandorli".
VILLA TRENTOLA Estate stands on the Cesubeo Hill, that of the current Bertinoro, in a wonderful landscape, among green hills, fields cultivated with cereals, olive groves and vineyards. Its domination, that of Castrum Brittinori, is linked to various popular legends, among which the most reliable seems to be the one according to which Galla Placidia, wanting to enhance the goodness of the wine of these lands, that was offered to her in a crude pitcher, exclaimed: "Not of such a rough glass you are worthy, oh wine, but to be drunk in gold". The estate has been belonging to the Prugnoli family since 1890, when the grandfather Enrico bought it by the Counts Gaddi. Since then, generation after generation, the love for this land and for the art of "making" wine has been handed down. Since 2002, the first year of production, the company has changed image with the advent of the current owner, Federica Prugnoli, who after graduating in Agricultural Science and working in France in a wine research laboratory, has dedicated herself full–time to the company, with the intent of reaching increasingly high levels. "QUALITY IS THE STARTING POINT TO GET AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT!". This is her philosophy. The property covers 40 hectares of land, including 20 of vineyards, of which the biggest part is dedicated to Sangiovese di Romagna, which is the heart of the wines of the estate; another part of vineyards is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The exposure of the vineyards, the nature of the terrain and the location inside a hillside amphitheater, include the conditions for optimal brightness and warmth to get a good maturation of the grapes and therefore great wines. To further improve the quality of the wines, Prugnoli is advised by a well–known winemaker, explaining the use in the winery of modern technologies of winemaking and wine fining.
On the lower slopes of the Tuscan–Romagna Appennines, through the rolling hills that connect Faenza to Tuscany, you go along the valley of Marzeno and at the village of the same name, on the right side to the south, the vineyards of our company are located, all strictly hilly and grown with saplings.
We are in the Municipality of Modigliana, on the Romagna hills, in a surface of 15 hectares with a mix of olive groves and vineyards, wood and broom, forming an amphitheater around an old farmhouse of very ancient origins.
History tells of the existence of this Bala, already in the eighteenth century, as an agricultural reality important enough to be the residence of the “Balitore”, the person appointed by the authorities as an official responsible for the management and administration of the different estates.
Our arrival in Romagna as a family dates back to 1999 and the Bala di Zola project has as its objective the enhancement of Sangiovese di Romagna.
The work in Bala di Zola takes place first of all in the vineyard, fruit of knowledge and expertise gained and of the conviction that in this area there is everything you need to make great wines.
Villa Venti is an organic wine company at the center of a land of ancient vocation.
At the end of the fifteenth century, the Venetians dominated the neighboring lands and maintained ties with Roncofreddo and its territories. The ships of the Serenissima left from Cesenatico with loads of olive oil and red wine, ofwhich, in the lagoon, "there was a great commerce".
The sea gave up with its trade routes Villa Venti and its vineyards, but did not forget to bring with breezes, smells of salt and pungent scents of iodine.

Thus, products such as Premium, Fondatore, Vigneto Cialdini are created, oenological icons so linked to the territory and to history that the name Lambrusco does not give them the right value, unable to tell at the same time the linear minerality of a Sorbara or the fruity and fleshy sensuality of a Grasparossa.
Founded in 1988, the Pertinello estate extends for 35 hectares on a hillside overlooking the valley of Alto Bidente.
The vines grow at an altitude of 300 meters, over a stony area, rich in limestone and clay, are always exposed to full sun, constantly ventilated and characterized by high thermal excursion.
Tradition, technology, but most of all creativity, a lot of creativity, are the watchwords that can summarize the characteristics of the Leone Conti wine company. And the owner makes of creativity a real reason of pride. Leone Conti was not destined, within the family, to lead the historic company founded at the beginning of the latest century. «In my opinion he had to become a notary, but then life called me to cultivate vines, grapes and to make wine. Soon, the pleasure that this activities gave to me took precedence over everything else, especially when I found out how much space there was to characterize a bottle of wine with my own personality».
An unusual story but that marks the entire production of this company placed in Faenza, in the heart of Romagna, on the slopes of the Appennine, that in a fifteen years of management by Leone Conti has achieved levels of excellence.
From a local company we have become producers appreciated throughout Italy and abroad, and our bottles are in the cards of many restaurants. A recognition that rewards what has been done so far and encourages us to continue in that activities of research and innovation for which the company stands out.
The Drei Don Estate is situated on the ancient Romagna hills among the towns of Forlì, Castrocaro and Predappio and in strategic position at the mouth of the valleys of the rivers Rabbi and Montone, around one of the guard towers that Caterina Sforza in 1481 built in defense of her territories.
The estate has been belonging to the Drei Don counts since the beginning of the century, and has always been dedicated to the production of Sangiovese grapes.
With the advent of the current owner Claudio Drei Don, who abandoned his forensic activity to devote himself full time to the company, and later of his son
Enrico, radical changes which give a decisive turn to the approximately 27 hectares of the property began.
There are 23 hectares of vines, most of which are obviously dedicated to Sangiovese di Romagna, whose old plants were the subject of a special study and selection which then led to their restoration through the replanting of the mass selection of Palazza.
From these you will get the "Pruno" selection reserve, the real wine of the company, and the resulting second wine Sangiovese "Notturno". In addition to this, two small vineyards also produce Chardonnay and Riesling "Il Torinese" and the Cabernet Sauvignon "Magnificat", and from a very small plot of vineyard of only 0.85 hectares with three different grapes they make, not in all vintages, "Graf Noir" Great Reserve.
The philosophy of the company is of the utmost rigor: the wines produced here are the result of a severe work in the vineyard, before, and in the winery, then, the purest expression of our terroir of Massa di Vecchiazzano in the hills of central Romagna.
In the estate, also two aged grappa and an extra virgin olive oil are produced.
A special mention is deserved by the names of the wines: all were baptized with the names of the horses of the small family’s stable.
The company currently consists of four separate farms, Lamezzi in the town of Monte San Pietro, Cadi Roda, CaNovina and Casetta in Castello di Serravalle, the central body where the winery is located. The appearance of the farms is changed considerably from the beginning of the activity, when mainly fruit, forage crops and grapes are grown.
The wine–growing origins of the Vallona family (with grandfather Silverio) date back to 1935, but in 1985 the modern winery destined to commercial purposes was founded, thanks to Maurizio, a passionate winemaker, who transforms a company created as a joke in one of the most beautiful realities of the valley.
Located on the border between Imola and Dozza, the company consists of two old estates: Olmo (13 hectares) and Monticino Rosso (24 hectares), planted with vineyards and orchards. In the vineyard, which covers 15 hectares, red grapes (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera) and white grapes (Albana, Trebbiano, Pignoletto, Sauvignon, Malvasia) are grown. Colli D’Imola DOC wines, IGT wines, table wines and dessert wines are produced. Wines are sold both bottled and in the carboy.
The business center is located in the within the Imola estate, where exclusively grapes from owned vineyards are vinified. All the vineyards are cultivated according to the methods of integrated pest management, allowing weeds and wildflowers to grow between the vines and using agrochemicals as less as possible. Moreover, in recent years, surprising results have been achieved through the consideration of the influence of the moon phases (a classic of biodynamic) in relation to certain agricultural practices, such as trimming, planting and, in some cases, even to the harvest periods. Also the winery operations, that see Vittorio Navacchia as a mature and capable protagonist, are reduced to the essential and each intervention is implemented in full respect not only of the fruit but, especially, of the vintage, in the certainty of finding an equally mature partner, able to relate the final result and the conditions that have given rise to it, so as to make that almost all the wines in production are made from a single grape variety, thanks to the great work done every day in the vineyards.
