Spouses Buffagni belong to that type, typical of Modena, of skilled entrepreneurs with their feet firmly rooted in tradition. The link with an identifiable territory close to the Modena hills, allows to have an excellent raw material. The winery has also the privilege of being typical from the architectural point of view, surrounded by farm buildings of nice workmanship, from which the well–made rows of vines owned begin. Thus, products such as Premium, Fondatore, Vigneto Cialdini are created, oenological icons so linked to the territory and to history that the name Lambrusco does not give them the right value, unable to tell at the same time the linear minerality of a Sorbara or the fruity and fleshy sensuality of a Grasparossa.
Cantina della Volta produces and sells two types of Lambrusco wines:
– Lambrusco di Modena Spumante D.O.C., produced from grapes harvested by hand, collected in boxes and pressed, that ages in bottles on selected yeasts.
After leaving the winery, it is exposed to remuage and disgorgement, as happens for the classic method sparkling wines of high level. The liqueur is the final sign that completes the winemaking process of a high quality sparkling wine with extraordinary organoleptic features.
– Lambrusco di Sorbara D.O.C. Rimosso, with double fermentation in bottle and permanence on its own yeasts until the moment of tasting. In this way, the presence of a natural sediment is a characteristic of the product.
Within three years, Cantina della Volta will offer also three Sparkling wines obtained from the grapes of the San Lorenzo Dietro il Monte Estate, in Riccò di Serramazzoni (Modena).
Fausto Altariva drives forward the winemaking tradition of his family. Since 10 years he has been following the philosophy of organic farming to obtain quality and genuine wines, including a wide range of Grasparossa.
The Cà Montanari farm estate nestle in stunning farmed countryside, extending over 45 hectares of rolling hills on the outskirts of the little village of Levizzano di Castelvetro near Modena. It all began in 2002 with just 5 hectares of vineyard which had been tended by an old local small-holder.
The company soon expanded to take in the entire hill, acquiring a 1950s cowshed which was subsequently converted into a vinegar loft and agritourism. In 2005 organic farming methods were implemented for the entire hill farm.
Located in the heart of Sorbara, in the centre of the fertile land of Modena, CANTINA PALTRINIERI is a family run winery which has been producing Lambrusco di Sorbara doc for three generations.
In fact, the activity of CANTINA PALTRINIERI starts in the mid 20s of the past century, when Achille, esteemed and open-minded local pharmaceutical chemist, built the first part of the winery, later extended and developed by his son Gianfranco, and today run with an extraordinary union between ancient wisdom and newest technologies by his nephew Alberto.
CANTINA PALTRINIERI produces Lambrusco di Sorbara doc from accurately selected and wisely vinified grapes, exclusively originated from their own vineyards.

The Company was founded in the 1978 by Manzini Lodovico, Lorenzo, Giordano, Ruggero. The farm surface extends on more than 25 hectares (10 located on the hills and cultivated to vineyard). MANZINI's company is still nowadays with familiar conduction and all the grapes come from the vineyards of our property. As a result of an accurate pruning and picking we obtain controlled grapes which gives origin to controlled denomination of origin wines like LAMBRUSCO GRASPAROSSA OF CASTELVETRO DOC.
