Located in the heart of Sorbara, in the centre of the fertile land of Modena, CANTINA PALTRINIERI is a family run winery which has been producing Lambrusco di Sorbara doc for three generations.
In fact, the activity of CANTINA PALTRINIERI starts in the mid 20s of the past century, when Achille, esteemed and open-minded local pharmaceutical chemist, built the first part of the winery, later extended and developed by his son Gianfranco, and today run with an extraordinary union between ancient wisdom and newest technologies by his nephew Alberto.
CANTINA PALTRINIERI produces Lambrusco di Sorbara doc from accurately selected and wisely vinified grapes, exclusively originated from their own vineyards.
Entering CANTINA PALTRINIERI you will come upon the balanced contrast between old tradition and modern production techniques. The fundamental operations of Sorbara's wine tradition are here meticulously performed with all respect of the laws for environmental conservation and for the consumer's health warranty.
The company is actually a small business run by Matteo Braga since 2001. The land is planted with Malvasia, Barbera and Bonarda, with technical standards; also in the wine cellar the work is very scrupolous, to prevent wine from losing the identity of the territory where it is produced.
The Monti company now has twelve hectares of land planted with vines, which produce wines of great personality and convincing, despite the land from which the grapes stem is not easy to grow.
Now run by the fourth generation of the Medici family, the company boasts sound experience both in the vineyards and in the winery, which allows them to make the finest of wine from the grapes they grow.
What lies behind the family's success is the idea of creating a close link between the individual vineyards and the wines produced, and the rigorous selection of the grapes, which sometimes leads to a yield that is as much as 30-40% lower than the quantity required to comply with the production regulations governing the DOC (Registered Designation of Origin) label, but which guarantees wines of unprecedented quality. The production cycle is completed with a skilful vinification process, using entirely new machinery, and a wine-growing philosophy in complete harmony with nature and the environment.
The response from the market was immediate, and our wines have gone from strength to strength; superb reviews in the specialised guides, as well as a number of highly coveted awards, have earned Medici Ermete labels a place among Italy's top wines.
Our Lambrusco is the first in the area to have joined the élite list of the country's most prestigious wines.
The Gallegati company is a small emerging business in the province of Ravenna.
It has a total area of about twenty hectares and is divided into two estate units: about ten hectares for fruit trees, the remaining for vines and olive groves.
The company is run by Antonio and Cesare Gallegati, with great passion: they started a business in the production of D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. wines of high quality.
The wines are typical of the Romagna area and have intense flavors and aromas, fruity and very pleasant.
The production of wine is limited and obtained with the best winemaking techniques.
Paul has been engaged for years in a project of biodynamic agriculture, giving himself the goal of producing wines in a natural way. Despite the land of Sarna are of high quality, they are also very difficult to grow, especially if you do not want to use chemicals. After a few years, today the wines of Paolo Francesconi are very reliable and are beginning to express a typical character.
Camillo Donati manages completely by hand his 14 hectares of land cultivated with vines, together with his niece Monia.
The Company was founded in the 1978 by Manzini Lodovico, Lorenzo, Giordano, Ruggero. The farm surface extends on more than 25 hectares (10 located on the hills and cultivated to vineyard). MANZINI's company is still nowadays with familiar conduction and all the grapes come from the vineyards of our property. As a result of an accurate pruning and picking we obtain controlled grapes which gives origin to controlled denomination of origin wines like LAMBRUSCO GRASPAROSSA OF CASTELVETRO DOC.
The company has been led since 2002 by Andre Eggli who is committed in the production of a single wine: the Cupola. La Collina also produces extra virgin olive oil.
In 2003, Renzo Maria Morresi and his wife bought the Casetta dei Frati company, devoting themselves entirely to the work in the vineyard and in the winery. The vineyards are located in an area that is perfect for their cultivation, in that part of Romagna that crosses the border with Tuscany.
We grow our selected vines on the hills of Faenza, near the Oriolo tower, a fortified historical site, dating back to 1457, one of the oldest in Italy.
The local varieties of the ancient family vines, are grown in the new state-of-the-art installations.
Sangiovese, Albana, Burson, Centesimino, Famoso, are just some of the local varieties that we grow in respect of the tradition.
The cellar has 2 production units, one dedicated to the vinification and reception, the other to wine ageing. The vinification unit was made in 2005. It is located at 1.5 km distance from the historic center of Cesena, immersed in the green of Gessi Valley. Maximum capacity - 1000 hl, the highly technological cellar guarantees a friendly-vinification and reduces manual processes.
Bartolomeo Montesissa purchased the company’s land in the second half of the nineteenth century. The centuries–old traditions, mixed with new technologies, have made that, five generations later, the Montesissa company won a major slice in the winemaking sector.
Embraced by prestigious vineyards, situated on a gentle hillside overlooking the sea, the fortress of Bertinoro and Polenta, stage of the exile Dante, stands, along the "Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori", including as milestone Tenuta Diavoletto.
Today managed by the Girardi family, this company focuses its attention on a winemaking activity, the synthesis of manual techniques, experiences gained from vinegrowers who have been taking care of the vineyards for three generations, and of the professionalism and dedication of the winemaker Giovanni Brighi.

La Sabbiona is situated in a panoramic location on the beautiful hills surrounding the ancient tower of Oriolo Dei Fichi, in the heart of Romagna, a few kilometers from Faenza. The company has 28 hectares of land, 12 destined to vineyards, while the rest is planted with cereals, fruit and Scalogno di Romagna I.G.P.
