Fattoria Camerone, personally run by the Marabini family, is located in the hills of Romagna, an area particularly suited to wine production.
In the 60s, in Faenza, the "Ente Tutela Vini di Romagna" Consortium was founded, under the symbol of the "Passatore" (Romagna bandit). The Camerone farm joined immediately and in those years the first bottles of Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano were produced, with the image of the Passatore. In these forty years of activity the company has gained widespread recognition (25 Plates by the Tribuneship di Romagna, two stars in the traditional Bolaffi catalogue, medals in Pramaggiore–Asti, Oscar of Kitchen in Perugia, "Bianco più Bianco" in Gorizia). Fattoria Camerone has always stood out for its wines, which have a distinct personality, very precise, in order to preserve the virtues of character of the wines of Romagna.
Fattoria Camerone has been belonging to the Marabini family for four hundred years, and currently is represented by Giuseppe, a well–known veterinarian, who between one visit and another found the time and manner to work as a vintner with unusual passion, with the collaboration of his wife Edda and now even of their children.
In the book "Vini e Cibi di Romagna" by G. Bonacina you read: «I never understood how Giuseppe Marabini manages to do all the things he does: vinegrower, producer, winemaker, bottler, packer, conveyor for the full range of his wines in Italy and abroad, that you can find in good restaurants in New York, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Geneva, Salzburg, and other places. Moreover, in his spare time, he is also a veterinarian. But not so much doing: all the things he does, he does them well, with great skill and passion.
The farm owns, both in property and for rent, approximately 25 hectares of specialized vineyards. Everything is monitored directly and with the utmost care, from planting to pruning, harvesting, vinification of the grapes, to bottling.
We treat our wines with the utmost care, from the cultivation of the vine, according to the most modern agronomic and ecological criteria, in order to ensure a craft "nectar", but that meets the quality requirements demanded by an increasingly more attentive clientele. In addition to the D.O.C. wines of Romagna: Albana (in the dry, sweet and raisin versions), Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Pagadebit and Cagnina, Colli di Faenza Red, we produce wines of imagination with our brand, the result of blends of our precious grapes: Camerone Brut, Frizzante del Camerone, Rosé del Camerone, Bianco del Camerone, Rosso del Camerone Reserve, Cru Vigna Badilona, Millennium Reserve, and, from the best pomace of Sangiovese and Albana Raisin, we obtain Grappa del Camerone.
A produce range focused on quality, from the simple Pignoletto Frizzante to Merlot in barrels, reflecting the work done in the company to obtain more positive results. In effect, constance is the element of merit that characterizes the Cinti production that, even in the absence of peaks of excellence, knows how to propose clean versions and respondents both to local varieties and to the "international" ones, always at home on the Bologna Hills.
The origins of Umberto Cesari is a challenge and a dream: to produce quality Sangiovese. This is our goal, our mission since 1967.
The awards received in over forty years of activity make us confident: the path we have chosen is the right one. Today more than ever we employ all our resources to achieve that dream and to win that challenge.

Respect for the environment. Our product comes from nature, the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil have a decisive effect on the quality and characteristics of the wine, this is why our company is very careful to preserve the environment in which it operates.
The development of the area. We believe in the potentials of our country and we have been operating from more than forty years to enhance and promote in Italy and in the world the wine culture and the wines of our land.
Respect for the consumer. The constant analysis on the product and the complete control of every stage of the production process enable us to personally guarantee to consumers the quality of our wines.
The enhancement of human resources. We believe that the true strength of a company only comes from the enhancement of its human capital and the investment in new generations.
Technological innovation respecting tradition. We believe in the innovation that does not lose its ties with the past and that is why we invest in new technologies that respect the tradition of winemaking.
The passion for our work. Nothing makes sense without passion. From the passion of Umberto Cesari for Sangiovese our company comes. Passion adds value to our daily work, passion has guided our steps so far and we want this same passion to address our path in the years to come.
Founded in 1963, owned by the Sirri and Casadei families (BRON & RUSEVAL) since 1965, and since then the accurate selection of the grapes from small farms located in the area, have given interesting results from the qualitative point of view.
In 1985 the renovation of the winemaking facilities began, and above all, a new philosophy that drives us towards the constant search for quality and the typicality of the wines we produce.
In 1995 the company develops the agricultural sector purchasing and planting new vineyards. Currently, we carefully select the grapes from 39.40 hectares of vineyards situated in the most suitable areas of the town of Bertinoro.
The Castelluccio farm was founded in the 70s, with the agronomic advice of Mr. Remigio Bordini and later with the advice of the oenologist Vittorio Fiore.
The first 6 hectares were made with important and avant–garde technical innovations for those times, which soon led to the achievement of extraordinary results, such as the creation of wines like Sangiovese Ronco delle Ginestre and the acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc, Ronco del Re, all wines from individual vineyards.
In 1999 Vittorio Fiore, involving his brothers Ermanno and Gianmichele and his son Claudio – oenologist, too – acquired the majority of shares, joining in this way the previous corporate structure, composed of the same Remigio Bordini, Augusto Valentini, Gianalfredo Bernabucci and Diego Amaducci.
Vittorio, who in the early 80s created, as a consultant, the wines of Castelluccio and contributed firsthand to the success of the company – which soon achieved international fame – provides technical support of considerable importance, thanks to its professionalism.
Castelluccio has always been considered to be the first innovative company in Romagna.
A story spanning over a century from 1900 and up to date in accordance with a principle: good wine springs in the vineyard and grows in the winery.
It is just the beginning of the latest century, when the grandfather Giuseppe Casali decided to transform its production of wine for the family in a real activity, focused on the enhancement of the vines and wine cellar, on the introduction of the first technologies in support of nature.
Behind the ancient Fortress of Rocca del Boiardo, in Scandiano, the original winery stood, where the grapes were pressed and the juice was left to rest in barrels to become more rewarding to the palate. In this historical winery Giuseppe and his sons have conceived wines and grape varieties that form the cornerstones of the company.
Then, around the early eighties, profound changes took place. A more appropriate place to the expanding market was needed. Thus, from the town center, the winery moved to Pratissolo di Scandiano, in the heart of the vineyards, where a wide range of crop varieties which created fine and original wines are grown.
Ten years ago the company was purchased by the families and Galaverni and Zoboli which, in 2004, joined the Accountant Boni and five years after Giovanni Sidoli. The entrepreneurial experience of the new business partners, in the field of agriculture, food and wine and high–level hotellerie, gave to Casali Viticultori new vitality. In this way, a strong propensity towards foreign markets and an intelligent synergy with local traditions and places of the accueil was created.
Placed in one of the most evocative areas of Colli di Parma, where the hills are the shield of the splendid manor of Torrechiara, the Carra di Casatico farm dilutes the rigor of its landscape with the vineyards and the winery located in just one area.
The serene silence of the valley brings the flavors of long preserved traditions, which constitute the most significant taste of the wines that the Carra company produces and sells.
Those who want to enjoy our products can go directly to the winery or consult specialist stores. The sale to the large distribution is not made.
This choice was determined by reasons related to the quality of the products themselves.
The quantities do not justify, in effect, a large distribution. Wine is also sold in the carboy.
The hilly area of Faenza is the center of our production. Precisely in this area, according to the characteristics of the grape variety, the soil and the exposure to the sun, the best vineyards are selected. From here, through the care and commitment of our vinegrowers, the grapes of superior quality of the Intesa Winery are obtained.
The winery, located in Modigliana, collects the best grapes from the most suited vineyards, arranged on the gentle slopes of the hills of Faenza. Equipped according to the most suitable standards, both during vinification, and especially in the process of maturation and elevation of wines, conducted in the underground wine cellar, in barrels and barriques of French oak.
Azienda CAMPODELSOLE was founded by Bertinoro in 2003 thanks to the Isoldi family who, engaged in the ongoing research of a better quality of life, decided to bring in the winemaking industry the same excellence which boasts the construction industry. In this way, a new wine cellar and a new way of making and producing wine was established, that brings back the tradition joining innovation.
Azienda Agricola Calonga is located in the first hills of the Forlì territory and covers more or less 10 hectares.
Maurizio Baravelli in 1977 purchased the company and gave it a family management. Immediately, the new vineyards of Sangiovese and Cabernet–Sauvignon were planted alongside the old clones of Sangiovese and Albana already present, creating a blend of modernity and tradition that skillfully, over the years, the passion of Maurizio has managed to exploit.
A renewed commitment arose in 1999, thanks to the completion of the new winery and the beginning of the collaboration with the oenologist Fabrizio Moltard.
When you think of Italian bubbles from Classic Method, memory goes fastly to high–sounding names of the most suited areas. One should not forget, however, happy niches of lands of lower level, among which the Bellei production is the most important. Year after year it does not disappoint, with a proposal of respectable Classic Method sparkling wines and findings that are not obvious on the experiments of second fermentation in the bottle wanted for Lambrusco di Sorbara, positive surprises and in growth compared to previous editions.
The winemaking vocation of the family dates back to the beginning of the latest century but only in recent times it has become a professional activity. There are so many memories, passed down from generation to generation, related to the collection and crushing of grapes: a long story about hard work and passion for the land. A tale that often, by the will or fate, was written by women.
Azienda Agricola Baraccone owes its name to the locality of the same name, at Folignano di Ponte dell’Olio, where, at the beginning of the twentieth century, the winery that operates here was founded, as amateur for about a century, and where still today the older vineyards are located. Here, in the past, traveling carousels stopped and touring circus represented their shows ("Baraccone" in the Piacenza dialect means "carousel"). From these memories the company’s logo depicting a juggler took shape.
The vineyards of the company rest on the first hills that overlook the fertile Po Valley, between 220 meters and 300 meters above sea level.
The quality of the soil, silty–clay, its optimum slope for good drainage and the orientation of the rows, that enjoy a sweet sun exposure, create the ideal conditions for the maturation of a healthy and scented fruit, the main secret of the great wines of Ariola.
The 70 hectares of land of the Ariola company are divided into the characteristic varieties of grapes blends of the place, white grapes of Malvasia, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, the red ones of Lambrusco, Cabernet, Merlot, Bonarda and Fortanina.
The strong personality of the grapes and the peculiarities of the production techniques give rise to a wide range of wines.
The Braschi wines have been telling for over 70 years the story of this passion that feeds on the patient care of vineyards in Tenuta del Gelso, situated on a hill where you can enjoy the view of the harmonious vineyards’ slopes, to go down the plain. The Braschi company is a medium–small farm that bottles and sells the DOC wines from 20 hectares of vineyards on the agricultural estate of Tenuta del Gelso. Alberto, Andrea and Gabriele personally take care of the vineyards, harvesting the grapes and making wine.
Attilio Pagli and Leonardo Conti care about he production of three wines of this company founded by Stefano Berti in Ravaldino in Monte, a small locality in the province of Forlì. Calisto 2006 has not been presented, considered at the time of our tastings not ready, yet. Of the two products tasted, Ravaldo stands out for tone and personality, an interesting wine that enjoying a further period of aging in the bottle will be the full expression of the territory due to its energetic character.
