Our activity of winemakers began around the mid–60s: at first the entire production was sold to other wineries but over the years our attachment and passion for this wonderful area increased, so that, in 1972, we decided to directly transform the grapes we produced. The company is situated at 300–500 meters above sea level and covers an area of 60 hectares of vineyards and 6 hectares of olive groves, geographically it is situated on the hills overlooking the left bank of the river Esino, the production area of the “Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi” DOC wine. Our objective is the enhancement of “Verdicchio” using the Verdicchio &lquo;cultivar” 100% in all its vineyards and trying, in this way, to enhance the characteristics of this indigenous variety.
To distinguish our wines even more, we are selecting from old plants some particular clones of Verdicchio in order to get even more complex wines, maintaining the varietal typicalness, but with more pronounced flavor nuances.
The municipality of Poggio San Marcello is set in the classical area of Verdicchio: Coste del Molino, Tralivo and Balciana are the districts where our vineyards are planted on sloping hills.
