In Maiolati Spontini, in the heart of Verdicchio, it is still possible to live intense, full of humanity and respect experiences. The passion of two friends, love for the beauty of our land, the professionalism of those who have always been used to face the challenges, gave life to this new project.
Started in 2004, we found an old vineyard in one of the best Verdicchio Classico areas. Exposure to the northeast, the low yields and the care of the grapes are the conditions to create a product with unique characteristics: freshness and texture, complexity and drinkability. Our mission is to create a wine that stands out, but a wine to drink often and with pleasure, even in the most common occasions.
The Amadio family founded the company in 1948 to produce wines of the territory.
The tradition is renewed in time and is passed down to heirs from father to son, and today over 30 years Mr. Pietro Amadio manages the family business on lands situated in the villages of Maiolati Spontini and Castelbellino, located in the provinces of Ancona (Marche Region – central Italy). In 1974 the winery was founded and on the base on continuous renewal and transformation it was changed to a corporation (Srl) in 1995.
Today the company owns over 35 hectares of vine huddled in the hills along the river Esino.
The vines are constantly expanded, maintained and renewed over time; what has always characterized the production of the Amadio wines is, in effect, the special care and respect of the vineyard. This is evidenced in the operations of pruning and ligation that are still made by hand, as well as the collection and the harvest; all is joined to the use of only organic fertilizers.
The vineyards are exposed to the north, arranged diagonally at about 300 meters above sea level and are built on a clay soil with limestone base.
The Amadio company produces wines of superior quality and in limited quantities. The Amadio Vini company is now operating under the "Castel di Marca" brand.
Pievalta fulfills the project of creating wines that, through the Verdicchio grapes
express harmony and the uniqueness of these places, thanks to the use of methods of
natural farming, such as the biodynamic one.
Azienda Mancini company continues a family tradition with its roots in the sixties. Now the third generation is active, with the owner Benito Mancini joined by his three children, who, with passion and care, follow the entire production cycle from the vine to bottling, with the help of consultants and specialists.
Distinctive feature was definitely the choice of positioning the vineyards on a loam soil with a predominance of sand, a characteristic that facilitates the formation of very delicate aromas, with prevalence of fruity ones.
Azienda Agricola MANCINI for maximum guarantee makes wine only from grapes of the vineyards located in the classic production area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi in the municipalities of Maiolati Spontini and Castelbellino, an ancient hilly territory of the Marche region.
To the vines a few gems to limit the amount enhancing quality are left. In recent years, the continued commitment to quality improvement has been rewarded with several awards in both National and International Wine Competitions with Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore "Villa Talliano", the "Passito" of Verdicchio, the selection of Verdicchio "Santa Lucia" and "Ghibellino", Spumante Brut, Rosso Piceno "Panicale".
