In 1998 Massimo and Ariana, driven by a great passion for viticulture and nature, decided to grow and vinify grapes coming from the hills of the Agno valley creating MASARI.
The goal was, from the beginning, to create wines of excellence as the most authentic expression of their territory of origin.
In the hills of the valley, nature, still intact, encourages to adopt a very natural viticulture and away from intensive production. It gave rise to a very strict disciplinary of cultivation that will take the name of the rules of the Agno valley for a conscious agriculture.
The attention to detail and awareness of the criteria used during all phases of the process of cultivation, vinification and aging give rise to products rich in personality and authentic expressions of the territory.
Our company is located in Monteforte d’Alpone, in the province of Verona, a small village at the foot of the hills. The vine plants, exposed to the south, extend along 70 hectares of limestone and of volcanic tuff soil, on the highest areas on the Monteforte and Soave hills, and the main grape variety grown is Garganega ...
The annual production of our wines varies on average between 650,000 and 700,000 bottles:
San Vincenzo, the two cru Capitel Foscarino and Capitel Croce, raisin wine, I Capitelli and Cabernet Sauvignon Realda.
In the heart of the production area of Prosecco DOC di Conegliano Valdobbiadene, nestled among the hills of Vittorio Veneto, not far from the majestic Dolomites and the magical city of Venice, Bellenda not only produces sparkling wines, but also Colli di Conegliano DOC and other typical products of the Treviso area.
Maculan vinegrowers in Breganze
The Maculan family for 3 generations has been vinifying and selecting the best grapes in Breganze, a fascinating village in the hills nestled as a little gem in the Venetian Prealps.
The natural protection offered by the Asiago upland determines an extremely mild climate, which favors the cultivation of grapes and olives. Not by chance, already in the sixteenth century the Venetian nobility loved to spend summers in this area, staying in the splendid villas designed by the great architect Andrea Palladio.
Azienda Agricola Maculan operates as a farm with 15 hectares of vineyards of property in the municipality of Breganze and 24 hectares of vineyards for rent in the DOC Breganze area.
Maculan srl also works with vinegrowers and has contracts of delivery of the entire harvest for 50 hectares of vineyards in the DOC Breganze area.
We are a family that has been producing wine for more than fourty years as an only business. Now we are at the third generation, we have defined well our project: to produce different wines with the sole purpose to correspond to our vision of the area, outside of the trendy styles and groups.
We work with an organic farming system because we believe it gives us a better result, but we do not declare it on the label. We believe in wine that generates emotions, possibly "blind" and to do this we have developed our internal know–how, without availing ourselves of consultants and wine guru. We rely on everyday life and minimalism in wine, in accordance to the good winemaking practices that have laid the groundwork of modern wine.
After a century and a half of activity, we still vinify only our own grapes and follow directly all the phases of winemaking, from the vineyard to the bottle.
Nowadays we have arrived with pride at the fifth generation.
Aldegheri S.R.L. is a winery that produces high-quality wines using traditional Venetian techniques. They specialize in the production of Amarone wine, and their vineyards are carefully tended to ensure the grapes are of the highest quality. The winery is family-owned and has been producing wine for over two centuries. They are committed to sustainable practices and using only the best grapes to create their exceptional wines.
They tell a nice story in the hills of Fumane. The story of grace received: it was 1860 and the local farmers, as a votive offering to the Virgin Mary for having freed their vineyards from the scourge of phylloxera, erected in honor of her the shrine of La Salette.
A church that leans, protective, over the village, climbing on a rock, surrounded by hills and vineyards. Some of these extend to just below the sacred building and has always belonged to a "historical" family of winemakers in the Valpolicella area: the Scamperle family, owner of the company which is called just like the Shrine. Also theirs is a beautiful story, which tells years of loyalty and passion for the land, especially for viticulture.
Indeed, for generations, the Scamperle family has been dedicating to the cultivation of vineyards, whose number was gradually increased over the years. Today there are twenty hectares of property, more scattered in the corners suited the Valpolicella Classica DOC: Fumane Cà Carnocchio, I Progni and Cà Melchiori, Sant’Ambrogio Conca D’Oro and in San Floriano Monte Masua. The grapes that are grown are the most classic of the area: corvina, corvinone, rondinella, oseleta, a little bit of molinara and croatina. A slow and prudent growth, in line with a peasant culture that does not force the hand of nature, but follows its rhythms to enhance its characteristics and originality.
La Salette has never stopped, finding its reason for being in the stubborn and constant pursuit of quality; an effort, this, shared by the whole family. In a family business there is always a lot of work, often without a truce, but there is always time for a friend who comes to find them, or for a guest that passes. The door of the Scamperle House and of La Salette is always open: to the excellence of produce and to friendliness.
This is also the reason why their wines are so good: Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso "I Progni", IGT Veronese "Cà Carnocchio", Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella, White Raisin "Caesar", the single–variety Molinara and, only in great vintages, "Pergolas Vece", both Amarone and Recioto.
Four brothers and a passion that was born in their father’s vineyards in San Zeno of Colognola ai Colli, an area in the Valpolicella that produces the most famous Scala wines: Amarone, Valpolicella, Soave. Ahead of their time, the Castagnedi brothers actually have worked for years as technical consultants, creating new "turnkey" plants all over Italy. They mature, in this way, a unique experience that pushes them to a decisive step. In 1989 they purchase 30 hectares of land in the area of Mezzane, which, added to their father’s property, bring the vineyards of Tenuta Sant’Antonio to the current extension of 50 hectares in total.
The main activity of Azienda Agricola Conte Umberto Emo Capodilista La Montecchia is viticulture, which began already in the Middle Ages. Petrarch himself appreciated the local wines, and decided to live in Arquà, a charming small town in the southern part of the Euganean Hills. The actual owner, count Umberto Emo Capodilista, began to renovate vineyards and wineries at the beginning of the 90s, leaving his son Giordano Emo Capodilista to lead the entire company, assisted by the oenologist Andrea Boaretti and by the agronomist Patrizio Gasparinetti. The numerous awards and recognitions from the most famous wine critics such as Robert Parker, Luca Maroni, Gambero Rosso and Luigi Veronelli have encouraged Giordano Emo Capodilista to continue down this road. About half production is exported abroad.
Bertani today: the experience of those who are able to make a wine with personality.
In 1857 the brothers Giovanni Battista and Gaetano Bertani founded the company with the enthusiasm and the avant–garde spirit that still inspires us to produce fine and remarkable wines, such as Bertani Dry, but also able to interpret the tastes of the present like Amarone Villa Arvedi. They are all wines that combine research and innovation with experience.
The property of the vineyards is the constant through which the company has been handed down generation after generation and this has became the most important element for the quality of production, so that the Bertani company is still one of the few companies in the area to have the property of the vineyards in which our grapes are produced. Today Bertani, still owned by the family members, is a solid company with a steady increase in distribution in Europe and in the world, and with a team spirit that has always distinguished our work, thanks to the new management undertaken to make more and more modern a company that has always been well renowed for its entrepreneurial ability. The Bertani company owns vineyards and wineries in Valpantena, in the estate of Villa Novare in Valpolicella, possessions in the areas of Soave and Lake Garda. The seat is in the original winery of Grezzana, northeast of Verona, where you can still find the historical vineyards and where the winemaking activities, aging, bottling and shipping are carried out.

Since 1999, the conversion to organic farming in all terrains has been started.
The production, entirely given until 2001 to local producers for the production of DOC wines of quality, the 2002 vintage was vinified on its own for the first time.
We also produce olives for oil (then brought to the mill), from old plants recovered after years of neglect, this recovery occurred gradually with a strong rejuvenation pruning on older specimens. In 1997, moreover, it was also provided for the planting of a new olive variety of the Rasara variety (70%), the most characteristic local variety.
La Biancara was founded by the will of Angiolino Maule and his wife Rosamaria to invest in their life–long passion: winemaking. In the early 80s they bought lands in the hilly area of Sorio Gambellara and built there house and cellar.
In vineyard and winery Nature is the queen and our personal idea of wine is expressed every year in the bottles we have been producing since 1988.
The first label produced in 1988 is SASSAIA, a white wine that best expresses the qualities of our grape variety, Garganega, present here for more than 1300 years.
Over the years, the search for quality and ecological integrity have marked our work and thought. Today, Angiolino is helped by his sons Francesco and Alessandro in the work in the vineyard, in the winery and in sales.
Together they built a new winery and bought new vineyards, but their spirit of research for quality and their ecological integrity, for the improvement and authenticity of wines, remains the same as always.
The extension of the soil grown with vineyards, now, is of nine hectares of property and three rented, two of them in Sossano (on the Berici hills), where Grenache expresses itself very well. The vineyards are located at a height between 90 and 260 meters above sea level. Moreover, the company cultivates a hundred old olive trees and fruit trees such as cherries, figs, apricots and peaches from which it produces natural jams with the simple addition of sugar.
In 2000, the Bisol family initiated its own agricultural activity, resuming a family tradition rooted in past centuries. Currently, the farm, called Aletheia, consists of 23 hectares, 13 of which are vineyards. About 9 hectares, in the Caonada resort on the southern side of Montello, are planted with Pinot, gray and black. The systems are designed in a modern viewpoint of high quality, with 5,000 vines per hectare in low yield per unit. Other 5 hectares are set in a beautiful and sunny hill in Nervesa. Here, we have planted 3 hectares of Prosecco, with a significant presence of Perera, Verdiso, Bianchetta and Boschera, to recreate the blend of the grapes historically present in our hills. In Nervesa about an hectare and a half of Recantina was planted, an ancient red grape variety of the high Treviso area, which we helped to recover, thanks to a long collaboration with the Experimental Institute for Viticulture of Conegliano.
The company is located in Cer di Negrar, on Mount Cà Paletta, on the East side of the valley of Negrar. The exposition of the vineyards is in the west and the soil is made of limestone and basalt. The farming system of the vineyards, in the old plants, is “Verona Arbour”, and in the new ones, is Guyot. The company was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century with Silvio Quintarelli, who, along with his brothers, cultivated in sharecropping the vineyards of the Figri resort, in the town of Marano di Valpolicella. The wine produced was then exported to the U.S., in barrels of 50 liters, by the owner of the land. After the First World War, precisely in 1924, the company moved into the valley of Negrar, in the locality of Cer, where Silvio continues his activity with the precious help of his sons and his wife.
In the 50s, Giuseppe, the youngest of his children, took over the management of the company, to continue the family tradition, of the vineyard and the cellar. He renovated and specialized vineyards, increased barrels and requests. With time, the activity became increasingly large, but this did not distract the attention from the traditional method, which was strictly maintained, with constant love and dedication, along with his wife, his daughters and his loyal employees.
The years ranging from 1950 and 1955 were fundamental to the winery. Recioto was an important wine and, in the case of a less generous vintage that gave a more dry wine, they tried anyway to store it for subsequent years.
This experience led to a “method”, which led to a wine, Amarone, of high quality and discovered and appreciated by important connoisseurs. Amarone has been created from respect for nature, in the cultivation of the vine, from a patient and careful selection of grapes and a strong bond with tradition. In the 80s, following a reorganization of the property with the purchase of new vineyards, production was optimized and important changes in the selection of the grapes, and hence in production, were made. Since 1985, in effect, varieties of grapes such as Nebbiolo, Croatina, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc are regularly used, with excellent results. Another wine has been created: Alzero, fruit of experience and awareness in the technical drying of grapes, traditional of Valpolicella. Two features accompany the wines produced by the company: a natural predisposition to a long aging, which leads to improve the product for even more than twenty years, and a surprising liveliness, which express themselves for a long time after the opening of the bottle.
