The origins of the Busco Abbey date back to the fourteenth century, and already in the eigteenth century Gaspare Gozzi praised the quality of the wines produced by the ancient Abbey and destined for the tables of nobles. Perhaps, also for this reason, Marco Zeno decided to build his residence in these place with the help of the best architect of the time: Andrea Palladio. Today, the direct descendants of the Zeno family continue to produce fine wines, following the ancient winemaking methods, leaving their wines to age in precious oak barrels and using only grapes from their vines.
The jewel of the company is definitely Buschino, left to age for two years in order to enhance its unique features. In the production, are worth to mention: Pinot Grigio, Cabernet and Doge, a prestigious wine and exclusive prerogative of the Venetian nobility to which it is dedicated.
The winery, built in the early seventies, is part of what can be defined a typical farmhouse of the Venetian countryside. The building, over the years, has adapted itself to the more and more increasing needs in dimension and modernity.
The grapes used come exclusively from the company vines, and all processings, from the harvest to the aging in the wine cellar, are made within the company.
Currently, the winery boasts a capacity of more than 4,000 quintals with barrels in glass–cement placed on two floors. The environment is always fresh and humid, thanks to he soil where it is located, that guarantees the ideal conditions to store wine.
The very attentive care of the winery and of its content offer perfectly intact produce. In a terroir suitable for vinegrowing, the family farm has been cultivating rich reclaimed terroirs of clayey type and medium density mixture with shell fragments for a little less than a century.
A series of drainage canals surrounding part of the vineyards ensure a natural irrigation at any time of the year.
The rows of vines are oriented to ensure a perfect sun exposure and excellent ventilation, enjoying the sea breeze which gives that note of fruits that characterizes our products.
The cultivation is of Sylvoz type, with a density of plants ranging from 1,660 to 2,560 vines per hectare, with supporting structures composed of concrete piles with stainless steel cables.
The Buoso family cultivates 16.6 hectares with vines, out of a total of 86 belonging to the company.
A company renovation, that has seen young people taking over the company, has brought a change, not only in the philosophy, but also production, after several years of experimentation, has been focused on quality.
The terroir, together with the passion and care of the Buoso family, leaves as legacy to the wines a distinctive and unique character.
Colli di Farrò farm is located on the road that from Pieve di Soligo leads to Follina, in La Bella locality. The route continues on the ridges of the gentle hills that leat to Farrò, allowing you to admire the Pre–Alps that delimit the Marca Gioiosa area. A few kilometers away, we find the white wine route, among the very first created in Italy, for the gentleness of hills, for the healthiness of climate, for the charming sequence of Prosecco vineyards. In this landscape, quiet and harmonious, we find Colli di Farrò farm, belonging to the controlled designation of origin guaranteed (DOCG) of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano.
The Winery of Ponte di Piave represents one of the most important winemaking realities in north–eastern Italy. The cooperative, founded in 1948 by 12 vinegrowers, has about 1,500 members with 2,000 hectares of vineyards north of Venice, to the hills of Treviso, with a production of 35 million kilos of grapes and 26 million liters of wine a year. Our company boasts four points of collection and vinification: the winery of Villorba (Treviso), the Basso Piave winery in Eraclea (Venice), the winery of Caposile (Venice), as well as the historic seat of Ponte di Piave (Treviso), where also the bottling plant is located. At every winery and in Vedelago (Treviso), you can find points of direct sale and tasting. This presence within the territory characterized by the DOC Piave and a favorable climate, allows to select and then to offer wines featured by a strong territorial identity and typicality.
Deep in the vineyards of the Euganean Hills you find Villa Sceriman, an ancient rural estate of the sixteenth century, a minor work by Palladio. The villa and the adjacent buildings, since the 60s, have been part of the winemaking company estate, while in the former stables there is a winehouse, where you can taste wines and typical meats and cheese.
Ghedin Winery is a small producers’ company. Its production has remained unchanged during the long history of the company. It chose to treat in the best way a selected quantity of grapes to be directed to a few connoisseurs. Its customers are mainly private, since the quality and genuineness have always been its strength, but also wine bars and catering establishments, run by those who prefer to ensure their customers an exclusive and refined product. The richness of the land and love for the ancient tradition gives life to its fine variety of wines. At Ghedin Winery customers will have the opportunity to taste white wines, including Pinot Bianco and Grigio, Chardonnay, Prosecco, Sauvignon, Verduzzo, Incrocio Manzoni 6.0.13, and red wines, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Nero, Raboso, Rosato di Raboso, Refosco.
Rivabassa farm deals with the production and sale of Prosecco DOC and DOCG wine. The company is located in the well known village of Col San Martino, where there are also its vineyards. It produces and sells Prosecco DOC wine both in bulk and bottled.
Sansovino Vigneti e Cantine is a Cooperative Agriculture Society situated in the south–eastern area of the Veneto region, 50 km from Venice. Since 1950 it vinifies the grapes of its members, about 25 million kilos a year, using cutting edge techniques and tools. Wines come both from so–called international grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernets, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot grigio, and from native of the Veneto region grape varieties: Prosecco, Marzemino, Refosco and Friularo. Friularo Ambasciatore, especially, is an excellent red wine obtained by late harvest, grapes drying in an appropriate place, slow fermentation and a long aging in oak barrels. The commercialization turns not only to the Italian and European market, but also to the ones of America and Asia.
In the heart of the classic Bardolino area, our Winery is located, which for as many as 5 generatios has been devoting itself with love and passion to the production of the great Classic Verona Wines. Only from the best grapes, wines of strong and distinguished character, such as Bardolino, Valpolicella, Amarone, Lugana, Soave and Custoza, are produced. Proud of our tradition, we reserve a meticulous care to all the stages of the production chain, from the cultivation in the vineyard, to the drying, to the vinification and the fining of great wines. Included in the winery, the Museum of Wine is located, created in 1991 to offer to all wine lovers a proof of the winemaking culture to which our family has been devoted for generations. Adjacent to the Museum there is a wine shop, that offers for tasting and sale the wines of our Winery. We organize also fascinating visits with tasting for groups.
On the “Wine Route of Montello and Asolo Hills”, surrounded by woods and beautiful hillside vineyards, right in the heart of a tourist route, Colli Asolani Agricultural Company is located, in Cornuda, at the foot of the fortress. Here the Colli Asolani Agricultural Company has its vineyards and its wine cellar, where the vinification of grapes harvested is followed directly by the Bedin brothers in all its phases. In the company an agritourism hangout finds its ideal place, a family atmosphere with traditional Veneto cuisine, to satisfy the palates of customers and friends. In 2005, the company has achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification by the CSQ. The Company has been cooperating for years with the Oenology School of Conegliano, with the Experimental Institute for Agriculture of Conegliano, with the faculty of Agriculture of the University of Padua, with the Consortium of Defense. In 1955, 33 enthusiastic vinegrowers formed the Vicenza Hills Cooperative Winery. With modern equipment, it has always projected research and experimentation, with an operational structure of the first order and a sales network expanded throughout Italy and well represented in Europe and almost all over the world. Aware of its role of protecting the typicality of local wines, it has always focused on quality. In addition, with the support of expert winemakers and agronomists, it ensures the processing cycle from vineyard to sales, through continuous monitoring, processing of grapes and a diversified control of the vineyards, with the aim of improving the management of the land and to produce wines of high quality.
Since 1955, Alta Padovana Winery has been located north of Padua, in an area with a long tradition of viticulture dating back to the Roman Empire. In the new production seat of the Alta Padovana Winery there are effective and advanced technologies that have allowed it to obtain the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Technological innovation has not altered the genuineness of the wine of the company, because the traditional methods of viticulture and treatment of grapes are still employed, in full compliance with sanitary regulations. In the store of the seat, or at a retail store, you can buy all types of wine produced by the Alta Padovana Winery. Table wines are available in bulk through self–service. There is no shortage of bottles of other DOC and DOCG wines.
In the early twentieth century Sante Beccaro begins his activity of harvester, in a farm located in Teolo at the foot of Monte Grande in the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills. The estate was subsequently conducted with his son Meridio. The culture was then mixed, with cherries, peaches, strawberries. In 1982, Gianfranco and Riccardo Beccaro, with the experience accumulated in the long activity of the whole family, decided to cultivate the entire farm, which had been enlarged to 7 hectares, only with vines, diversifying among the variety of DOC and IGT grapes. Thanks to centuries–old oak trees in the park, the company is called "Le Querce".
The company, founded in 1922, is located in Roncadelle, in the heart of Treviso, near the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Sergio Nardin has transmitted his experience and the passion for vinegrowing to his sons Paolo, winemaker, who follows the production, and Pietro, who coordinates the commercial aspect. The wines offered by BORGO MOLINO Vigne & Vini come from the management of more than 100 hectares of vineyards.
