The founder Francesco D’Ambra, or Don Ciccio, who was born in 1863 in a family of local growers, dedicated himself, since he was very young, the to the trade of Ischia wine, which was appreciated and consumed in the market of Naples at the end of the century. The business thrived, to start and develop, in this way, a great company in Ischia in the ancient Villa Garavini, which thus became the seat of the company. The sale was extended to the most important regional markets, to expand, then, abroad. Since that time, Ischia has been producing over 250,000 hectoliters of wine. To Francesco D’Ambra, in 1952, his children Mario, Michele and Salvatore succeeded. The Francesco D’Ambra company turned into D’Ambra Vini d’Ischia S.p.A. and a series of transformations began, that today have made of it a model winery. Today, they vinify and bottle Biancolella, Forastera and Per’ ’e Palummo grapes, with modern facilities; they are buying vineyards in the most famous parts of the island, re–planting only local varieties; finally, they are building a new winery in Panza d’Ischia, one of the most important wine–producing areas on the island. In 1984, Mario D’Ambra, who became sole owner of D’Ambra Vini, led the company to a new conquest of domestic and foreign markets. On the death of Mario D’Ambra, his grandchildren, Riccardo, Andrea and Corrado succeeded, who continued the activities based on the principles of a greater selection of vines and increasingly characteristic products. In 2000 the property passed to the enologist Andrea D’Ambra, the youngest of the grandchildren of Mario, who took the line of a family tradition, started in 1888 by his grandfather Francesco, and that is still alive after more than 100 years.
D’Ambra purchases annually about 5,000 quintals of grapes from 150 vinegrowers in Ischia, of which 120 are associated in a Cooperative. The vineyards owned by the company are of four hectares in the locality of Frassitelli, a hectare the locality of Montecorvo. In addition, Casa D’Ambra manages, in conjunction with local vinegrowers – 6 hectares in the most suitable areas of the island. The company focuses strongly on local grape varieties: Biancolella, Forastera, Uvarilla (white) and Piedirosso and Guarnaccia (red). In addition, evidence of attention towards the improvement of the quality of the grapes and the homologation of the old varieties, in 1995 an experimental field was established, a kind of genetic bank for the resumption of disappeared varieties, implanted in the Frassitelli estate.
Cantine Astroni is a winery in Campania, located on the border between Naples and Pozzuoli in the heart of Campi Flegrei on the outer slopes of the crater Astroni – today State Nature Reserve and WWF Oasis. Founded by the will of the Varchetta family, to continue at a high level the best local wine tradition, the company has focused exclusively on native grapes to produce wines with a strong typicality aimed at those who love to search for the territory in the glass.

In 1891 Vincenzo Varchetta decided that it was necessary to increase his activity, it was time to transform what was an ancient pleasure, the art of making wine, in a thriving commercial activity, but only with the hard work of his son Giovanni, who returned from World War II, that conviction became reality.
Don Giovanni, an expert of every vineyard in Campania, handed down all his passion and experience to his children and grandchildren, who in 1999 with the founding of Cantine Astroni continued to pursue a project of fully exploiting of Campania’s ampelography, offering an oenology of strong traditions enriched by modern techniques of cultivation and winemaking.
The wine for the Martusciello is a way to experience the territory with passion and dedication. Planting vines, following their growth, harvesting grapes, making wine, getting excited about the great vintages and regretting for the unfortunate ones, traveling the world promoting the Campania region, has been and is the life for several generations of the Martuscinello family. The family is entirely devoted to wine and to the Grotta del Sole project.
The Antiqua Vinea company is included in the thousands realities, large and small, which throng the wine routes along the lush valleys and on the fertile hills of the province of Avellino, the old Irpinia.
The cult of tradition, the protection of genuineness and the ambition to improve quality and goodness of the product characterize the complex pathway leading to the commercialization of selected wines by Antiqua Vinea. It is a path that requires strict control of the grapes that are used for the production of wines.
Taurasi DOCG, Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Greco di Tufo DOCG and Aglianico Campania IGT:
all in order to ensure consumer satisfaction (providing a complete and highly qualified service to companies operating in the industry, such as restaurants, wine shops, wine bars, etc...) and then business achievement.
It establishes commercial relationships based on direct sales and brokerage, recognizing, in this second case, to the promoter of the occurred sale, 10% (ten percent) on the concluded and successful deal, net of tax. It searches for sellers throughout Italy.
The company, founded in 2004, is located in the very beautiful Galluccio; spread over fifteen hectares of vineyards of disparate varieties, since 2007 it has been producing excellent IGT and DOC wines. The art of winemaking, as it is known, requires great dedication, passion, industriousness and competence in every passage, ranging from growing, to pruning, to processing. Land and vineyards are not enough, there must be good exposure of the vineyards, good features of facilities and special processing methods. The quality of products is the first step of a production process, the fruit of often jealously guarded knowledge.
It is also possible to stay at the "Le Vigne Country House", a structure adjacent to the wine cellar, living in close contact with now forgotten flavors and traditions, but with all the amenities. Many are the activities in which you can participate in first person, from cooking classes and wine tasting, to food and wine journeys, to excursions in the nature, to visits in wineries. In short, a holiday in contact with nature and in the name of good food and good San Teodoro wine. The restaurant is open from Friday to Sunday for lunch, and reservation is recommended, for the other days the restaurant is open by reservation only.
One of the double rooms is located in the winery: its furniture is minded to the smallest details with the sole purpose of recreating and respecting the character of these places. Chestnut beams, tiles, Impruneta terracotta, rustic furniture and wrought iron are the elements of an elegant and rustic furnishing, without forgetting the comfort of the sofas and orthopedic beds of all the available rooms.
Nestled in the hills dotted with vineyards in the Medio Volturno Valley, the Terre del Principe Winery is a small precious treasure chest in which the private and daily life of Peppe and Manuela is paced by the breath of the wines fermenting or resting in the winery. As children growing up, the wines are day after day led by the hand to the final moment: the bottle. At the same time, every effort is put in the care of the vineyards, where the grapes that give the wines of the next season sprout and harmoniously develop.
Terre del Principe has a wide structure on two floors. Characteristic is the tasting room, where you can admire the view of the valley. In the center of Castle Campagnano, however, the historic barrel cellar is located. To mark the valuable time of the winery there is a dear friend of ours: Professor Luigi Moio. His winemaking and scientific expertise, his passion, his deep knowledge of the varieties of Campania and of Pallagrello and Casavecchia in particular, make of it an indispensable link of our adventure. As we love to say often, Pallagrello and Casavecchia are like Pinocchio, whom Peppe has given his heart, Manuela the word and Luigi intelligence.
Taurasi is the point of reference to know and appreciate the great wines of Irpinia. Taurasi is home to Aglianico and the award–winning Antonio Caggiano Wineries turn these grapes, vinified in single–variety, in the only DOCG red wine of Campania: Taurasi. Antonio Caggiano has experienced a major record: the company in Campania with the highest average in tasting for the Vini d’Italia Wine by Gambero Rosso. The territory of Taurasi, an Irpinia village, is the heart of the production area of Taurasi DOCG.
It is right in Taurasi, in the locality of Contrada Sala, that the Antonio Caggiano Farm is located.
The idea to produce fine wines in Taurasi, birthplace of my father, came in 2002, year of my entry to the faculty of Agriculture in Portici. In this way, the project of the construction of a winery in the center of Taurasi takes shape, where my family has owned vineyards in Piano dell’Angelo. The luck to have fine vineyards in an area of centuries–old winemaking tradition has made possible the idea of producing quality wines.

The philosophy: it identifies a strong and fundamental value, the loyalty to the own territory, and the land that has been handed down through the generations to protect a cultural identity.
The company: harmoniously situated in the panorama of the hills of Tufo, the Torricino Farm owes its name to the ancient medieval tower that overlooks the company website, the protection of the Tufo Castle; on a hill facing south on the right side of river Sabato.
The Family: Di Marzo comes to Tufo in 1647 and is now the founder of a strong and viscieral interaction with the village. Today the Di Marzo family is a history of strong men and women linked by love for the land, and the passion for the cultivation of the vine assumes continuity in the path–project of Maria Concetta, Stefano and Federica Di Marzo in the Torricino Farm.

The work of Sabino Loffredo, in recent years, has truly something prodigious and certainly indicates a seriousness and an absolute accuracy on the part of this young producer, but also a vocation of the land of Montefredane to speak in a peremptory way on the white grapes of the historical territory like Fiano and, above all, Greco. But it is significant the way in which Sabino has climbed in a few years these vertices, since its first vintage was in 2000. In this rabid run–up towards important results, maybe there was even a natural desire for revenge towards a destiny that with a couple of accidents had prevented him a career as a sports champion, which he strongly aspired. We have, however, gained a valuable producer that combines in the white wines 2006 a Nordic beauty and intensity of scents (we are on high vineyards) with a creamy, lovely structure, all drenched in sweet and mineral notes. Greco di Tufo, therefore, has a beautiful taste impact that grows in length, flavor and drinkability at every sip. And then a Fiano of peremptory elegance, creamy of summer fruit and honey, which turns into full pleasure.
