Azienda Agricola Fontaleoni

The company was founded in 1959 thanks to Giovanni and Bruna Troiani; it is still family–run, now covers 45 hectares of land planted with olive groves and vineyards, partly arable and woodland.
The vineyards are located on predominantly hilly lands, of medium texture, lightweight, suitable for the production of quality wines.
They are still handcrafted with forms spurred cordon and guyot, according to the ancient Tuscan tradition.
The grapes are then harvested in September, always by hand, and transferred in the wine cellar, where the fermentation of wine and finally bottling take place.

Ferrero is a small reality, that in recent years has been able to improve both in local wines and in international labels. Due to the characteristics of the soil, clayey and calcareous on average, located 300 meters above sea level, the wines produced are powerful and intense.
