In Civiglio, a quiet resort surrounded by greenery, just 4 km from Como, you find Crotto Civiglio, bar–restaurant–pizzeria. A culinary offer closely linked to the territory and traditions of our area.



The "Crotto" name brings us back to the typical venues of the valleys of Insubria in the past.



Therefore, here are some of our dishes: polenta Uncia, polenta and mushrooms, and all those dishes such as stews and Cazeula, served with polenta Taragna, accompanied by fine wines.



Theme nights are promptly reported following the seasons.



Crotto offers also menus on request, for banquets and occasions of all kinds. In addition, the pizzeria with wood oven offers pizzas for all tastes.



During the summer time, when the city is overwhelmed by the heat, here you can enjoy refreshment under a gazebo in our garden. The large private car park adjacent to the premises is at the disposal of our kind customers.

Momi and Federica are pleased to welcome you in their new restaurant and hope heartly that the magic and poetry of our lake will keep you company during lunch, dinner, or more simply in your relaxing break. Our restaurant is small, charming and unique, we can in effect boast a terrace overlooking the lake that shows breathtaking sunsets and romantic evenings, and also a special kitchen thanks to the passion that Momi, owner and chef, uses as its key ingredient in dishes.



The desire of Momi is to offer his guests the opportunity of not having a real menu, but to express their wishes and allow their imagination the chance to achieve with simple dishes that have as ingredients seasons, the cool and excellent fish from the lake and the sea, the noble Italian meats, lots of vegetables and delicious homemade desserts, all accompanied by our wines that tell of small wineries and producers that are sincere and full of passion. All our harvest is reported in the recipe book "Momi Chef Cucinare per Passione" that are on sale at the restaurant.

Ristorante Mistral

The restaurant, reviewed by the best Italian food guides and awarded one star by the Michelin Guide, is led by Chef Ettore Bocchia, a passionate lover of Mediterranean food, great researcher of high quality raw materials and forerunner of new solutions for gastronomic excellence.

The menu offers dishes inspired by tradition tied to the seasons and innovative recipes, including a tasting menu of molecular cuisine, of which Ettore Bocchia is the leading expert in Italy.

A lunch or dinner at Mistral offers the pleasure of a tasty and unusual experience between innovation and tradition on the banks of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

The restaurant, situated in the compound of the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, is open to outside guests and is also available for celebrations, private dinners and parties.



Ettore Bocchia, the chef of Mistral and Terrazza Serbelloni, combines love for traditional cuisine to creativity and passion for research.

And right Mistral has been the gastronomic laboratory of research of Italian molecular cuisine, which Ettore Bocchia began with the scientific collaboration of Davide Cassi, a professor of Physics of Matter at the University of Parma.

Scientifically studying what "happens in the pot" during the process of cooking, cooling, combination of ingredients, Ettore Bocchia has been able to use science in the service of good food. He discovered how to refine existing recipes, but he also found the stimuli to create new recipes, to experiment with new cooking methods, to propose unusual combinations, but always balanced and rich in flavor.

In this way, ice cream cooled with liquid nitrogen, turbot cooked in a mixture of melted sugars, meringue without sugar and other specialities that are included in the menu or in the tasting menu offered at Mistral have been created.

A corner of delight: it is already the place, sheltered in the ancient heart of this little green town, with the rustic entrance and the few seats that are now divided into two areas: the oldest one around the fireplace, nice chairs in solid wood, some fine pieces of furniture, an charming grate from which you can see the kitchen. The other sector is even more beautiful.

The name "Novecento" stems from the nostalgic atmosphere related to the latest century and more precisely to the 50s, a period in which people were beginning to live again after the hardships of the war, and life bursted under the most varied forms, from the economic revival, to the first cars that many people could afford, to the awakening of art, cinema and fashion, design, to the desire to stay out of the house, to theater, taverns, bars and restaurants. A period that we have tried to evoke with furniture, objects, clothes unmistakably reminiscent of that atmosphere tinged with nostalgia. In addition to such a particular atmosphere, the characteristic feature of the venue is transversality: in effect, it is a restaurant that wants to keep up the role of the kitchen, with quality raw materials and not trivial recipes, but also a bar, where you can enjoy with tranquility fine wines and delicious craft beers, cocktails, and freshly prepared tasty snacks, in the most complete and elegant relaxing atmosphere. It is also artistic exhibition, with reproductions and photographs always on the go. In addition, furniture, objects and clothes that deliberately recreate a homely atmosphere are on sale imposing to the venue a slow and steady progress.
