The figures speak for themselves: 13 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, a crop density of up to and over 7,000 vines per hectare, and more than 70,000 bottles produced annually, from grapes which draw on the sandy soil of marine origin to create some truly unique aromas, and which testify to a deep-seated bond with this land. In the meantime the winery building has been renovated and extended, with rows of modern temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, barriques and big Slavonian oak barrels which embrace the wine, caressing the sun-ripened Nebbiolo ageing within. Angelo's eight labels represent the elements in a family tradition which passes from generation to generation: from Alfonso to Angelo and from Angelo to Stefano. The family remains true to its history and values, while developing and innovating the winery with the help of oenologist friend and adviser Beppe Caviola.
The winery in Castiglione Falletto was built in 1982, the structure modern in design while in complete harmony with the surrounding landscape. Only Barolo is produced here, from the grapes grown on the 11 estate hectares situated in the villages of La Morra, Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto and Barolo. Though small in numerical terms, the production excels in quality. The addition of the striking and artistic glass Cube in 2000 has made Bricco Rocche one of the most unique and admired wineries in the area, a symbol and an assurance of the quality of the wines produced here.
The nomination Azienda Bricco del Cucù was born from the union of two names: the resort Bricco in Bastia Mondovì, and the appellation of the most important vine, Cucù.
Company origins are in the tradition of the viticulturists of these lands and in the expert work of Giuseppe Sciolla:
Traditions apart, the technological qualitative leap of the company was in 2001. The production process in the cellar was completed remade through the acquisition of avant-garde implantations that are perfect to take care of the fermentation and the bottling process.
To taste these delicious typical wines, you only have to call Dario Sciolla. He'll act as a guide through the rows of vines, where you'll hear Dario's quiet step, while he's working with his hands in the big earth, repeating ancient actions.
To till and to produce Dolcetto to delight the clientele's palates: these are Bricco del Cucù targets.
The company was founded in 1887. It became one of the few labels of Barbera d’Asti permitted in large restaurants in the province and was among the first companies in Italy to use on the label the name of a Cru. Without forgetting innovative practices, the philosophy of Ermanno Brema is not to betray the history and traditions handed down from his great–grandfather, his grandfather Giuseppe Lazzarino and later his father Carlo Brema.
The fifth generation of this family of winemakers is young Umberto, who since childhood has always believed in the values and principles of this work showing passion and love for his territory.
The production consists of high quality wines, obtained from a continuous and meticulous work in the vineyard and in the winery.
The property extension is of 7 hectares all cultivated on vineyard, located at an average altitude of 730 meters in the sunny hills of Ovada. Thanks to the special composition of the calcareous soil and to the particular microclimate the valley enjoys an excellent position for the wine production.
The Bondi family has bought the Cascina Banaia in the 2000, aware of the terroir's potentiality. They have staked everything on quality and they have believed in the autochthonous vineyards, as Dolcetto and Barbera.
The 42-45 year old vineyards have totally recovered and the new vineyards have been conceived to obtain a production of the highest quality. They are followed with care and high respect for tradition.
The cellar is equipped with avant-garde technologies and machineries in order to keep perfect control on making processes of the grapes and wine, observing the tradition.
Azienda Agricola Bergaglio has been devoted to viticulture for many years and, through adherence to a European standard, it guarantees a green workmanship of the land using products with low environmental impact and using more and more avant–garde tools and machines.
The company’s philosophy is aimed at making wine of quality, thus favoring some agricultural techniques that allow to achieve this purpose (such as pruning with a few sprouts or green harvest in late July).
Today, the farm is spread over an area of 30 hectares, 23 of which are vineyards that also extend into the nearby towns. From the time of Luigi Veronelli's description to the present, some things have changed: the vineyards and the varieties of the wines have grown, and the winery has been modernized. Also, with the passing of the winery to Valter and Alida, a new generation has joined the family azienda: Umberto and Riccardo. The basic philosophy is always to maintain utmost respect to the tradition of the territory and to every manufacturing practice. With a great passion and a great desire to make high quality wines, all phases of the work are followed directly, from the cultivation and crushing of the grapes, to the bottling.

The objective of the company, founded in 1948, has always been to produce Gattinara wines of high quality standards in full respect of the land and the vineyard. The vineyards of the company are all owned, located in areas with an ideal microclimate for growing grapes.
The farmstead stands at the centre of a splendid natural amphitheatre where natural woods and flourishing vineyards grow. The Olivero family became the owner of the property in the 50s, and they have been cultivating its 15 hectares of vineyards since then.
All the working phases, from the harvesting to the marketing of the bottled wine are carried out by the owners themselves: Mr Pietro, his wife Maria Teresa, their daughter Daniela and their son-in-law Luigi. In this company tradition, careful grapes selecting and technology have reached a precious equilibrium and a rare harmony.
In a particularly emblematic place of the territory of Barolo, right at the junction between the historic hill of Cannubi and that of Brunate, our company was founded in the early thirties, a classic family–run farm.
We exclusively produce and vinify grapes from our vineyards located in one of the best locations in La Morra, to say, the Brunate cru. Our family has always applied its own winemaking experience to produce wines of excellent quality in total of the traditions and the environment. Our work is based on a few simple rules of production, while maintaining all the traditional steps that make our wines genuine.
The love and passion for these lands and these vineyards have been handed down from father to son for three generations and now the company is led by the sons of Francesco, Giancarlo and Claudio Borgogno, with his daughter in law Silvia, who follow every stage of production together, starting from vineyard management to the care of the winery, winemaking and sale.
Beyond Barolo, the company produces Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo and Langhe Favorita.
The Elvio Cogno farm stands on the top of the Bricco Ravera hill, in Novello, in the Langa area, in one of the eleven municipalities of the Barolo area. In an ancient manor house of the eighteenth century, the winery has its seat, surrounded by eleven hectares of property, all planted with vineyards. After the long and important parenthesis of La Morra with the Marcarini association, in 1990 the wonderful historic farmhouse in the town of origin of the family was purchased, and subsequently refurbished and restored it to its former glory. Today, after the perfect recovery, the company is situated in a fabulous landscape of hills and sky, characterized by an exceptional turquoise horizon, that at sunset, on clear days, frames the farmhouse like an author painting. For this reason the area, a land of wine of excellence, was named “Petorchino”, to say, turquoise foot. The Cogno family has been dedicating to winemaking in the Langhe for four generations: the values of history and tradition, represented by the suggestions of father Elvio, join the freshness and the innovation brought by his daughter Nadia and her husband Valter Fissore.
Azienda Agricola Filippo Broccardo and Brothers produces D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. wines, particularly Barolo D.O.C.G. The Broccardo winery is located in Monforte D’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe area. Our vineyards cover about 7 hecyares facing south and southwest and are located in 3 of the most renowed villages of the Langhe suited to the production of the noble wine Barolo – Monforte d’Alba, Barolo and Novello.
