Ermacora Vini is a family-owned winery that has been producing high-quality wines for generations. There is an absolute novelty in the world of Friulian wine: wine aged in clayey amphorae of Roman type. The idea was made concrete by the Crosato Giovanni farm, which is located in the heart of the Eastern Hills of Friuli, a land that has always been perfectly suited to exceptional wines.
Giovanni Crosato, oenologist and wine producer, wanted to create a different product, away from modern technology, paying close attention to the language of the land: "Rosso d’Argilla" a new product, special and elegant at the same time, is the result of an ancient art that intrigues and fascinates, in short, a "different" wine. Rosso d’Argilla is only the first example of the philosophy of aging in amphorae; the Scacco Matto sparkling wine, the sweet dessert wine CRETA and the new BRUT NATURE called "THIS IS IT", belong to the new line of products made according to the same technique.
The new winery, located in Cividale del Friuli in via Fornalis 50, built with all the attention to the production of a natural wine that reflects the traditions accompanied by the technological novelties that are offered, stands out for the particular use of space: an area of work (barriques, wine cellar and amphorae cellar) and a welcoming environment where you can taste wines paired with cold dishes typical of the Friulian localities.
The Sottomonte Estate is located in Buttrio, 12 km south of Udine, in the district of the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC, a hilly environment with a strong winemaking vocation.
The estate covers 110 hectares almost entirely cultivated with vineyards and has been belonging to our family for over 500 years. In the ancient documents preserved in our archives there are numerous historical records such as that with which, in 1140, ten colonies of Buttrio were given as dowry to a convent of Benedictine monks so that they could obtain oil and wines: the Sottomonte Estate, until a few years ago had still ten colonies. Of particular interest is the seventeenth–century Family Palace, newly renovated and now house of a hotel and restaurant: Palazzo d’Attimis Maniago with its stables.
A particular source of pride is the exclusive use of grapes grown with their own vineyards, 70% consist of vines born in the fields of clonal selection of the Estate.
Therefore, vineyards are perfectly set and wines are really typical. A "great" wine, for that matter, comes with no doubt from a "great" vineyard.
Recently we have expanded our wines with the "Casali Maniago" line.
Our company is located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC. It has 14 hectares of vineyards. It covers more or less 14 hectares of vineyards in the hills, protected to the north by the Preapls and exposed to the south to the positive atmospheric effects of the Adriatic Sea, creating a ventilated and dry climate. The terrain consists of marly–arenaceous rocks of Eocene origin, and therefore ideal for the breeding of vines in the hills. It is rich in calcium, potassium, discreetly of phosphorus, magnesium and many other trace elements. The density per hectare, on average 5,000 vines, allows us to achieve a proper balance between quantity and quality in the product. We have equipped the cellar of the most modern equipment for winemaking, from fining to storage of wines, but we are aware that the most advanced technology can not replace nature, as good wine finds, as indispensable presuppositions, the high clonal selection of our vines, the quality of the soil, the special microclimate, but also the maximum commitment and passion of us and of our employees. Our production is currently composed of about 65% of white grapes and 35% of red grapes. We aim, however, to reach gradually a production of the same amount of white and red grapes.

Planting system: 2.5 m between each row; 80 cm between plants.

These choices limit the amount of grapes produced per plant in favor of a more high concentration of quality, in this way raising the sugar level, creating a more intense color and enhancing the aroma and flavor typical of each variety.
Our current production of about 50,000 liters.
Paolino chased a dream. He did it for seventy–seven years. Danilo and Gabriele fulfilled it in 1991: because also dreams are handed down from father to son. In this way, today in "Colli di Poianis" every blade of grass has again the name of a time. From these 11 hectares of vineyards, wonderfully exposed in the south–east and cultivated with great passion and awareness, in 1981 we won the prestigious "Risit d’Aur" for creating one of the first new vineyards of Schioppettino, aiming to the enhancement of native grape varieties rewarding in this way also the wisdom and foresight of Paolino.
Located in one of the most suited areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and precisely in Faedis (Udine) in the Eastern Hills of Friuli, the Colle Villano is a family–run farm.
The company was founded from the attachment to the territory. The DOC wines that arise from these vineyards became ambassadors of Friuli in the world: they represent quality, ability, care.
Each year more than 100,000 bottles spread throughout Italy and around the world.
Particular attention is given to the care of the vineyards, where the entire production is followed, respecting the surrounding environment and always trying to obtain perfectly healthy and mature grapes.
In the winery, the work is done with the aid of modern technologies while respecting and continuing the tradition of Friuli.

On the label of my bottles you can see, new, in the complex and important Friulian winemaking reality, the figure of the Canus: the senex with gray hair and deep wisdom. He inspired me, placing myself under the wing of a regional tradition that identifies my family with the nickname of Grisn (white haired). This feeling of belonging to the land where the vineyard is located, has pushed my entrepreneurial spirit to confront with a past that is famous for the quality of the product. Thus, among the sweet thinning out of the eastern hills of Friuli, wetted by the waters of the river Judrio, which marks the border with the equally generous lands of Collio, my grapes produce wines of the most genuine tradition. From the vineyards that in the late summer of 2004 celebrated our first vintage, aware of the safety of the steps taken, I look, like the Canus, away; with the right pride of the founder.

Aquila del Torre is located in Savorgnano del Torre, in the production area of the Eastern Hills of Friuli, an area of rare beauty that has always been suited to the cultivation of the vine. Aquila del Torre is currently merged into a single fund consisting of 18 hectares of vineyards, the remaining 66 are woods: most of the upstream of the vineyards areas are occupied by several forest species, including oaks, hornbeam and holly.
The territories of Aquila del Torre are characterized by an altitude that ranges from 175 to 350 meters above sea level, a height from which you can enjoy the rural landscape of the plains, to the castle of Udine. The arrangement of the hillside vineyards is characterized by the single–row terraces to catch the rays of the sun and uniform the ripening of the grapes: winegrowing in the hills is synonymous with quality wines.
The winery of vinification is located in the foothills in the proximity of Cividale del Friuli, the ancient Forum Julii of the Romans. The vineyards extend over a complex geometry of land, partly flat and partly hilly. In the production white wines predominate (70%) compared to red wines (30%): this proportion reflects the history and viticulture of Friuli, a land of great white wines.

The vineyards are located on the hills of Campeglio and Prepotto, in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli Doc, at an average altitude of 150/200 meters above sea level, facing south and south–east.
The land of Eocene origin consist of stratified marl and sandstone (on site called "ponche") and therefore strongly suited to viticulture for their position and composition.
The farming systems are "Short Cappuccina" and "Guyot", that give low yields and high quality.
All wines come exclusively from grapes from the vineyards of our property. The harvest is done manually after a careful assessment of the state of maturation.
In winemaking we use new technologies in respect of tradition, as we have always been committed to the pursuit of quality combined with the preservation of the typicality of wines.
The Valpanera farm, with the welcome support of regional Friulan Authorities is responsible for the development of agriculture, has decided to invest its resources for the production and enhancement of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. This ancient vine, native to Friuli Venezia Giulia, found in our lands the ideal climate and environment for its development.
From its grape an excellent wine is produced, that, like no one else in the world, can boast a thousand–year old natural selection. As a factor of continuity for a wine that boasts such testimonies of prestige and healthiness, we are committed, in the country, in the production of grapes with as less as possible environmental impact, with mostly organic methods, in the winery with the most sophisticated and advanced equipment that allow us the most genuine production of wine in accordance with the ancient traditions of Friuli.
Not far from the small town of Roman origin Aquileia and from Palmanova, a historic fortified town founded in the VI century by the Venetians, the municipality of Pocenia is located. In this area in the province of Udine, near the Friulian Coast, the cultivation of vines finds its ideal soil, so much that it is the production area of the excellent Friuli Latisana DOC wines.
It is exactly here where the Anselmi Giuseppe e Luigi wine company is located, founded in 1928 by grandparents Anselmi who handed down to their children and grandchildren their experience, cultivating the land with a great sense of belonging.

Why wine?
Because some things are difficult to explain with only words, I need a pass key.
The emotion that wine transmits to me and that I try to spread with every single bottle is somethig very intimate, unique, personal, not at all commercial or bound to market rules, but strongly linked to the Land.
I want to try to change the language of wine and of its emotions. I want to make it more accessible. A real means of communication among people.
This is the reason why 4 years ago, starting from a tradition carried out since 1985 by my grandfather, I wanted to change philosophy. Neglecting quantity, I just try to make people become passionate and fall in love with wine and its potentials. To make people spontaneous, unique and free. At least for a moment.
I seem to be a dreamer but my age allows me to do it and challenges help me grow and understand what I need to improve to fulfill my dream.
The Producers’ Winery of Codroipo has ancient origins: it was founded in 1920 as Cooperative Cocoons Dryer, to which in 1954 the distillery and in 1955 the winery were added.
From the first vintage in 1957, for about twenty years, the cooperative was engaged in the collection and drying of cocoons and in the harvesting and vinification of grapes and in the distillation of pomace.
In 1975, the disease that struck silkworms made the activity of collection of cocoons to be left, and since then all energies were devoted to the winery and wine production became the main activity.
Today, the Producers’ Winery of Codroipo is actually one of the most significant in the wine sector: it has 250 members with over 450 hectares of land planted with vines in the Friulian plain of the Friuli Grave DOC zone, between the provinces of Udine and Pordenone.
By choosing to invest since the nineties on more and more advanced machinery and equipment for winemaking, today the winery is a true point of reference in Friuli.
In 2006, it inaugurated the new seat, modern and cutting edge, which has allowed us to increase the amount of worked grapes, which reached in the latest season 45,000 quintals.
