The farm is situated in the poetic landscape of Nimis, is family–run and has been handed down from father to son for over a century. In addition to the care of the vineyards, the company is engaged in the rearing of some cattle and pigs. Therefore, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy genuine local products from the fresh flavors of the past.

In the eastern hills of Friuli around Ramandolo, for 500 years at least vines have been grown. Claucigh Italo founded here in 1970 his company farm. He passed down to his son Andrea the passion for the land and its fruits, and now he cultivates vineyards, harvests by hand and dries grapes.

Wine has in itself this force: in effect it is a generous wine of extraordinary finesse. It is also considered a wine for meditation.

His production goes against the technological novelty but without losing sight of tradition, the culture of the past, that would be a shame to disperse, he still harvests by hand according to the steps and paces of the past, only making wine with grapes from owned vineyards, because everyone has the grapes he deserves, they say in these parts.

Azienda Agricola Bressani Giuseppe

The company is located in the northeast of Italy, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in the Province of Udine, in the rolling hills of the Collio.

The Bressani farm, family–owned, was established in 1935.

Over time we have developed wine production, recovering even the features of ancient workings, especially with regard to drying. In our understanding of winemaking, deeply rooted in Friuli tradition finds wide space, as well as the attention towards anything positive in modern business management. This happens both on the ground and in the vineyards, that are followed with care, until a well equipped wine cellar where wine is aged in barrels and bottles.

Our leading products are: Ramandolo raisin, late harvest Ramandolo, Friulano, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Cabernet Franc, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Riserva, Merlot Riserva.

Azienda Agricola Anna Berra

The Anna Berra farm has an area of ​​4.5 hectares and is situated in Ramandolo, a small village in the Municipality of Nimis, in the province of Udine, on the Eastern Hills of Friuli.

Ramandolo has been awarded the first D.O.C.G. in Friuli Venezia Giulia for its renowned wine after which it is named.

The vineyards are cultivated according to the best agronomic techniques with very limited methods of breeding such as the Guyot and spurred cordon, methods whose productions range from 1.8 to 2.3 kg/log, depending on the variety.

The grape varieties grown are: Friulian Verduzzo, for the production of Ramandolo, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and finally, a small amount of Picolit.



The company differentiates its production in two lines:



– a traditional line, presented ​​with the Vini di Casa Berra brand, with which only red wines vinified in stainless steel vats are marketed;

– a line branded Selezione Anna Berra, whose label is characterized by the original signature of Anna Berra.

The wines in this line are made ​​from reserves vinified and aged in French oak barrels (barriques) for long periods (over 18 months).



They are currently producing about 25,000 bottles a year with the expectation to increase production in the near future through the acquisition of new land but keeping the same quality sought and wanted up to now.

Azienda Agricola Bernardis

The Bernardis company is located on the slopes of Mount Bernadia, that protects our vineyards from the north winds allowing an optimal ripeness of the grapes. The vineyards of the Bernardis company were planted by great–grandfather Valentino in the early years of the past century. With a happy intuition, he chose one of the most suited sites to the production of Ramandolo: the slopes of Mount Bernadia.

Planting vineyards in those steep slopes was not an easy nor quick work. With respect to the work done, still today all the works in the vineyard are carried out entirely by hand, taking care with love of each vine.

Grandfather Primo continued to cultivate the vineyards in the postwar period with many sacrifices, at the same time working as a bricklayer.

And therefore, for three generations the company has been producing that wonderful nectar that can boast the birthright of the D.O.C.G. in Friuli.

Azienda Ronco del Gnemiz Società Agricola

Azienda Ronco del Gnemiz does not love fashions nor trends and has worked for years to refine the results obtained, sometimes in captivity, with tenacity and stubbornness. At Azienda Ronco del Gnemiz they are like their wines: austere but true.

Azienda Agricola Il Roncal

Roncal is a small estate, only 20 hectares of absolute quality. It is located in the heart of the eastern hills of Friuli, just 3 km from the Longobardic town of Cividale del Friuli, UNESCO world heritage.

It was founded from a project by Roberto Zorzettig, knowledgeable vinegrower and oenologist, who in 1986 decided to start a model company combining respect for the land, the preservation of tradition and the renewal of winemaking techniques.

Today, his wife Martina carries out his company with great dedication and enthusiasm, who has made of quality and excellence her motto.

The company’s name, Il Roncal, in Friulian language means "farmstead", located in the hills cultivated with terraces and, in effect, the "ronchi" dominate this picturesque landscape.

The "ronchi" of the vineyards surrounding the Montebello hill are favored by an excellent exposure and a soil of sandstone and marl, ideal for the cultivation of the vine.

At Roncal they harvest late, to catch the grapes in their most generous maturity. Wine is made according to traditional methods, at a controlled temperature in the cellars of the company.

A basement is dedicated to aging and fining of wine in wood barrels: barriques, tonneaux and barrels of 25 hl, with control of temperature and humidity and a ventilated place for the drying of grapes. Along with the shiny and cold steel tanks, scented oak barrels find a place, where wine matures and the flavors complement each other.

In contrast to this, so strong and at the same time pleasant, the whole philosophy that guides the estate is enclosed, where we experience innovations to improve what already exists.

The winery has been recently renovated and expanded, and is home to a new space devoted to the sale of the company’s wines. One of the two towers of the building is dedicated to moments of tasting with a striking view of the surrounding vineyards and on the ancient mansion, carefully restored, now used as a farmhouse inn.

RISTORANTE LO SPARVIERO

It was 1968 when Mario Arzenton, realizing an old dream, gave birth to a modern farm with the transformation into vineyard of a wooded area in the hills of Bosco Romagno in Spessa di Cividale del Friuli, one of the most favorable to viticulture places of the DOC of the Eastern Hills of Friuli.

The company, 14 hectares of which 10 are devoted to vineyards, offers with its land consisting of layers of marl and sandstone, its exposure and its microclimate an optimal habitat for the vines. The terraced hills, called "ronchi", give limited productions. Grapes are exclusively harvested by hand in baskets and are transferred to and processed in the wine cellar in the shortest possible time. Personally taking care of every stage of production, to bottling, wines are of guaranteed quality.

Mario Arzenton has became a producer of white and red wines, with excellent structure and delicate perfumes that can accompany any kind of dish, from appetizers to desserts.
