Valchiar was founded 16 years ago. Since then, it has seen a steady growth in its range and especially in the quality of its produce.
This allowed us to achieve
prestigious awards from the most important guides and a quick penetration of the wines in the Italian and international markets.
In 2006 the new winery was inaugurated, a modern and spacious premise located in a beautiful natural setting.
The next goal is to increase production substantially in compliance with the quality standards achieved through new vines that will start soon to bear fruit.
Torre Rosazza is a winery that focuses on crafting exceptional wines through a perfect blend of traditional and modern techniques. Their vineyards are carefully tended to provide the best possible grapes, which result in elegant and complex wines. The winery features a modern cellar where the wines are aged to perfection, and visitors can take a tour of the facility to learn more about the winemaking process.
It was 1920 when Giuseppe Stanig started the winemaking activities in Albana di Prepotto.
More than ninety years have passed and the company ia now managed by the grandsons Federico and Francesco with the same love, the same enthusiasm and the same respect for the traditions tied to the land and the wine that is still produced with manual labor and with passion.
Located in the heart of the Eastern Hills of Friuli, the company covers an area of about 9 hectares on which the typical grape varieties of Friuli and some Friulian native gems such as Schioppettino di Prepotto are grown.
The Roberto Scubla farm was founded in 1991 with a few existing old vines, to which new plants were added, up to 12 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are all located on the sides of a completely sunny hill in the southern part of the eastern hills of Friuli, the deletion place for wines with extraordinary harmonies of aromas and flavors.
The limited production allows a great care of the grapes harvested by hand and wines; this has made that in recent years the main Wine Guides have been particularly generous in attributing excellent valuations and the highest level to some wines.
This is with no doubt an incentive to try to improve with new experiences in care, primarily, of the vineyard, whose product is the true basis for a careful elaboration of the value of the fruit and then of the wine.
The first information on the production of wine in the RoncSoreli date back to the early twentieth century.
The farm, mainly engaged in the production of quality wines, stretches over 72 hectares of property that develop between the towns of Prepotto, Cividale and the Corno Rosazzo.
The 43 hectares of vineyards occupy the hill facing east–southeast of the village of Novacuzzo in the Municipality of Prepotto. The vineyards, which with the hill top touch the Bosco Romagno Natural Park, go down to touch the banks of the river Judrio, the natural border with Slovenia and the Collio of Gorizia.
At the foot of the hill the ancient village of Novacuzzo stands, with adjoining villa and the original wine cellar.
Ronco dei Pini is located in Prepotto in the Eastern Hills of Friuli, on the border with Slovenia and the Collio of Gorizia, in the hill consisting of ponca soils.
Angelo Novello and his children, for generation expert farmers of the lands of eastern Veneto, bought the property from the Counts Rieppi of Prepotto almost forty years ago, after many years in which they had already frequented it and had been fascinated by the quality of the wines and the beauty of the area of the Eastern Collio of Friuli.
In 1990, Vito Novello, purchased the shares of his brothers and started the Ronco dei Pini business. The new company, which owes its name to the pine forest that is located on top of a hill, began a journey of renewed quality, which underwent a marked acceleration after 1997 with the full entrance into the family business of the sons of Vito, Giuseppe and Claudio.
Processing methods to get the wanted quality start from the low yields per hectare combined with a particular focus in the winery (maceration of red and white grapes combined with the technology of cold and temperature control). The aging of red wines, occurs both in tonneau and in barriques. The results of this commitment and passion soon arrived, and today Ronco dei Pini is recognized and appreciated by major national and international magazines in the industry.
Among the Eastern Hills of Friuli and Plessiva in the Collio of Gorizia, the vineyard is divided between Prepotto and Spessa di Cividale.
Claudio Novello runs the company in first person, assisted by his brother Giuseppe and by the enotechnicians De Noni and Stramare in the winery.
The Rocca Bernarda company, of property of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta since 1977, overlooks a magnificent panorama that from the closest vineyards stretches to the characteristic surrounding countries. Its dominant position allows to launch your gaze to the city of Udine. The company has, in effect, a special position because it is situated on the hill of Rocca Bernarda with at its feet the village of Premariacco.
The main purpose of the company is to produce fine wines in accordance with the ancient tradition, has the goal to make them enjoy and to distribute them on the international market. On this front, the company has always been open to new contacts facilitating knowledge of wine even in different markets. Wine lovers have the opportunity to carry out visits directly on the farm and therefore to come into contact with this reality that is more and more intensely seeks to carry forward the combination of tradition–innovation. Tradition, as already mentioned, involves the production of wines that can be tasted and appreciated by visitors allowing them to understand the production process and to enjoy all the taste of the wines of the eastern hills. Innovation concerns the direct contact with buyers and those who want to learn about this activity and how they do the work inside of it, and the production of wine that goes on for generations in this place. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Prepotto, one of the most suited areas in the Eastern Hills of Friuli where viticulture has a long history. Currently, we are completing a new business complex with a new winery and a wide tasting room.
We produce our wines with love and respect of the oldest traditions, guaranteeing a typical and genuine product, today as in the past.
The Perusini company is among the 50 “happy few” registered by Veronelli in the Gotha of the historical Italian winemakers. In effect, in the latest century, when the fashion of French wines was still prevailing, Giacomo Perusini, grandfather of the current owner, began the selection and preservation of some indigenous grapes (especially Piccolit).
After his untimely death in World War I, his work was continued by his wife Giuseppina Perusini Antonini, painter, writer, but also skilled businesswoman, who begans the revival of regional wines in the domestic and international market. Her son Gaetano, professor at the University of Trieste, continued and expanded research on agriculture and traditional varieties, while the other son Giampaolo went on in particular with the selection of Ribolla Gialla.
Now the castle of Rocca Bernarda, historic home of the family, has passed by bequest of Gaetano Perusini to the Order of Malta together with part of the company, but the family tradition continues in the remaining part on the hill of Gramogliano lapped by the river Judrio until 1918, the border between Italy and the Austro–Hungarian monarchy.
The company now is run by Teresa, daughter of Giampaolo. Like her uncle and her sister, art historian but also passionate winegrower. In the company management, today, she is helped by her husband and sons Carlo, Tommaso and Michele. So, the family tradition continues on the hill of Gramogliano known for centuries, as the one of Rosazzo and the Rocca, as the cru hors class of the eastern hills of Friuli.
Midolini is not only the name of a historic family of Friuli and its winery, but a story about passion, love and dreams that have become reality. Located in Manzano in the province of Udine, between Attimis and Buttrio, the Midolini farm covers an area of 100 hectares, owned by the family, in the Hills, of which 70 are devoted to vineyards with the Colli Orientali del Fiuli designation of origin. To date, 32 hectares are cultivated with vines. Midolini has always aimed at the production of quality wines with a very low yield of 40 hectoliters per hectare, about 90,000 bottles produced. Passion, elegance and quality are the predominant characteristics of the Rosacroce Midolini wines. The Midolini family offers also a flagship product, of the highest standard and unique: Asperum, a sweet and sour balsamic sauce obtained cooking a great must of the Doc grapes of the eastern hills of Friuli, since June 2007 registered in the list of the agri–food products defined traditional with a special decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. The "balsameria", that started with only 25 small barrels more than fifty years ago, just for fun and for the passion of Lino Midolini, has now become the world’s largest with about 2,300 small barrels, a record that earned him the prestigious quote in the The Guinness Book of World Records since 1998. Asperum is made with native Friulian grapes (such as Refosco and Tocai) and is aged in small barrels made of 7 different precious Woods until 30 years of age. The Midolini company produces also Grappa cru from Chardonnay grapes. In its 50 it is a distillate of great strength but at the same time of great harmony.
It was 1973 when Joseph Ceschin acquist among the hills of the eastern hills of Friuli 35 acres to devote himself to his dream that in 1960 the port in Friuli : wine.
For him it was a beginning, a spring , as the name he gave to his company : The Viarte .
It took many years of work to carry out the works of terracing and planting of 21 hectares of vineyards , while the rest was left in the woods for both aesthetic reasons and to maintain the right balance bioclimatic .
And finally , in 1984 the first bottles , synthesis of a blend of modernity and tradition, in which the vinification in steel , typical of white wines alternates , the use of oak barrels .
And now his son Julius , who decided to develop the potential of the companys and rich experience of his father, he traces the steps in 2003 with the acquisition of a further 6 hectares of hilly land .
At the proposal of grapes fruit of synergies between the different grapes , supports and strengthens attention to indigenous varieties increasingly expression of the territory , to give unique sensations and inextricably linked to these beautiful hills.

La Sclusa Farm is located in Cividale del Friuli (UD) in the DOC area of the eastern hills of Friuli. It is possible to visit the winery, to taste the wines and to stay overnight at the farmhouse “Agriturismo Corte San Biagio”, owned the company.
The winery is located 40 km from the Ronchi dei Legionari airport and 15 km from Udine Train Station.
On the hills of Spessa, south of Cividale town, a Latin and Lombard gem, in the heart of Friuli, we find La Sclusa farm. Its vineyards are rooted in marly soils typical of these areas, the eastern hills of Friuli, which have always been synonymous with fine wines, for natural vocation. Here, the Zorzettig family of Sclusa (curious name that originates from an area downstream of the company), devote themselves with passion to the culture of the vine, combining family tradition, experience and modern winemaking techniques, to obtain from excellent grapes fine wines, unmistakable for flavors and richness of aromas. Recently, the company has made available a farmhouse accommodation with comfortable rooms.
More than forty years ago, Guido Cozzarolo, the founder, planted the first vine cuttings (now model vineyards) in the land adjacent to the company’s seat in the eighteenth–century villa in whose garden a majestic century–old magnolia with white and fragrant flowers stands.
The La Magnolia company now has more than 20 hectares of land owned, of which three quarters are cultivates with grapes. The winery with modern equipment produces 1000 hectoliters of fine and appreciated red and white wines, all (with the exception of Franconia) with Colli Orientali del Friuli designation of controlled origin. The winemaking techniques are basically the same that are handed down from generation to generation, even if they are reinterpreted in the light of the current wine science.
Beside the knowledge to produce a wine of high quality, an expression of undisputed prefessionalism and mastery, in Guido and in his family (his wife, his daughter Cristina and his son Alfredo) the pleasure of a familiar and direct approach with customers and wine lovers remains.
The Guerra Albano Farm has been located for several generations in the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC in Montina, near Cividale del Friuli.
Grandparents have handed down their passion for viticulture and winemaking to their children and grandchildren, and only through direct experience in the vineyard, in the wine cellar, and with customers, they have come to the satisfying current results.
In 1992, the first bottling, and over the years they went to a gradual crescendo in quality, thanks to the introduction of new winemaking techniques and modern machinery, while respecting tradition, and a more accurate care in the vineyard.
In recent years, the winery was enriched by oak Barrique, which are used both for white wines (The blend Trauli, Verduzzo, Piccolit) and red wines (The blend Gritul, Merlot, Refosco P.R.).
The company’s rooms (cellar, storage of bottles, and tasting room) are open to all visitors, and here the holder Dario Guerra with his family welcomes cordially customers to taste his wines.
