The refined cuisine is based on flavours of the tradition and of excellent fish, always pursuiting research and experimentation, and to offer great emotions to guests. Many are the delicacies offered to customers. Flavours are in harmony, perfectly combined by experience and passion for culinary research, combining the local cuisine tradition, that evokes tastes and aromas of the Viareggio of the past, with the proposals of modern cuisine with new technology and the increasing mix of cultures that blend in. All this, is included in three menus created on purpose: à la carte menu, to give the opportunity to choose among all the available dishes, fish tasting menu and meat tasting menu, to enjoy a culinary experience through the dishes selected by our chef.

Ristorante Beppino Valdicastello

The story of “Beppino” fits well into the groove of a long tradition. In this way, just half a century ago, Giuseppe Novani transforms two rooms of an old farmhouse in a spartan “Tavern with serving of alcohol”. Outside, under the pergola, in summer, or around the fire, in winter. (...)



(...) more than thirty years ago Luciano Lazzerini built it with his own hands, as he was already a skilled bricklayer, before being its host. His son Daniele, attentive sommelier and lover of the “genius loci” and of its architecture, and his sister Simona, delicate participant in the family management, are the third generation that enters the history of this place, and have already had the task of renewing the spaces, to enrich them with a well provided and refined wine bar ... And Daniele has really been able to recreate the warmth of an old house of the Tuscan countryside. Where the signs of the rural memory of Valdicastello Carducci soberly blend with the classical Pietrasanta style (...)



The first guests tasted delicious snacks based on home–baked bread and local sausages, with the red wine of the Regnalla hills and of Mount Ripa.

The legendary Tordello of “Beppino” stems from these simple and friendly convivial rites. It is right from this national dish, regal in every festivity, that the real adventure begins at this restaurant. With skills, the hands of Nella Novani and Amelia Lazzerini – the first real creators of the kitchen – know how to pull the dough; instill in the mixtures unmistakable aromas and secrets. They do not care about anything else but to remain faithful to a healthy rural experience ...

Osteria l’Oliveta

An enchanting landscape where the gentle slopes of the Massarosa hills are harmoniously nestled in the plain of Lake Massaciuccioli: a wonderful scenery for your evenings at Oliveta.


A small restaurant on a hill, warmly elegant, where ancient furniture and valuable carpets make even more friendly and pleasant the passage of time.

In the past all inns were meeting places where to eat good dishes made of strictly locally sourced ingredients, to drink good wine and to stay with friends: the philosophy of Oliveta stems from these values.


A very welcoming environment, suited for special occasions, romantic dinners, parties, ceremonies, business meetings, or just for nice theme nights.

Alex Restaurant –Wine Bar is located in Marina di Pietrasanta, in a building dating back to the early twentieth century, at a stone’s throw from the sea. It is furnished in a ethnic style and refined with valuable marbles, to create a comfortable and relaxing environment, where to taste our exclusive offer of food and wine.

Warm and intimate, the premise is surrounded by a great terrace made more precious by a garden with tropical plants.


To make the reading of our menu easier, even for international guests, we have translated it into English, Russian and German.

A document dated 1782, drawn up to prohibit the introduction to, and sale within, the State of "foreign wines" gives certain ofthe city's notables the task of "monitoring" the various hostelries, including the "Osteria a S. Antonio" so that the orders will be "punctually carried out".
Not only is it unquestionable that the reference is to the present "Buca di S. Antonio", (in ancient Tuscan "Buca" is equivalent to "Taverna" or "Osteria"), but the fact that in 1782 it was still called "Osteria a S. Antonio" (that is "near S. Antonio") leads one to think that it existed even earlier and that is when l'Ospedale di S. Antonio in Poggio operated in the turning between the little piazza dei Cocomeri and Via della Cervia, i.e. from 1406 till 1610.

During the 18th century, when the space created by demolitions between the little piazza dei Cocomeri and Corte Campana was occuped by the horse postal station, we still find the "Buca" not just as a hostelry but also as livery and stabling.
After the suppression of the postal service, and up until our own days, the "Buca" has continued to function and, thanks to the good management of owners Franco Barbieri and Giuliano Pacini, has remained one of Lucca's most characteristic places.
 Since the end of the coaching days, the Buca di Sant'Antonio has continued to make the best dishes in the traditional cuisine of Lucca. Amongst these is farro soup, one of the oldest dishes in Italy, and a favourite of famous personages as: Giacomo Puccini, Ezra Pound, the King Gustavo of Sweden, the Pricess Margareth of England, Indro Montanelli and others.

The open–space plan kitchen ensures taste sensations, while you are waiting for your service. Around there are no walls and, sitting comfortably at the table in the large bright dining room, you will feel in close contact with nature. The imaginative and concrete chef is Luca Landi, who could hone his skills in the celebrated Italian, French and Spanish kitchens.

Ristorante Bistrot

The restaurant is equipped with two wood ovens and a open–plan kitchen, where dishes of meat and fish are prepared with extreme care and refinement, that the staff will be pleased to serve you in the rooms of the restaurant which can host up to 140 people. The environment has a friendly charm, ideal to spend an evening in the name of good taste, in one of its elegant rooms, with a design loosely inspired by the colonial style, or in the cool summer terrace, accompanied by good jazz music.

Ristorante La Barca

“La Barca” docked on the shores of Forte dei Marmi in 1906, just from the sea: this is not a joke, but the gimmick of Captain Leo Tacchella, who with his tartan boat transported wine from the Island of Elba to the Fort, where he docked the “Barca” ashore and sold wine there. Some time later, the captain thought of opening a restaurant, and so the restaurant was founded, that subsequently passed through various owners, without captains of the value of Leo, until in 1969 Beppe – the host–farmer, as he called himself for his peasant origins – took over it.
