Hélène and Franco have been running since 1987 in Villa a Sesta their restaurant “La Bottega del 30” (one Michelin star since 1997), and since 1995 have been giving practical kitchen lessons!

Al Colombaio Restaurant. Situated in a small village just outside the walls of the medieval town of Casole d’Elsa, in the high part of the D’Elsa Valley, at the edge of the province of Siena, not far from San Gimignano and Volterra. Our house is open all year and you can enjoy short stays (eg weekends), weekly holidays or business journeys. This is the perfect environment for children, who find space at will to play safely and maybe even in the company of their puppies, dogs or cats. We provide eight apartments for our guests, well furnished, all renovated, of various sizes with very evocative and typical views of the Tuscan hills. They are equipped with air conditioning, wireless connection. From the swimming pool you can enjoy a breathtaking view with a terrace that overlooks a wide valley circumscribed by a chain of summits on which there are beautiful old villages: Mensano, Monteguidi Radicondoli with the geothermal Museum “Le Energie del Territorio”, Pomarance and Larderello with its characteristic geysers and the evocative medieval fortress of Sillano. A poolside gazebo offers you the opportunity to have light lunches, dinners, parties, exclusive and private cocktails. Al Colombaio is one of the first farms to be restored and has been used as accommodation since 1989. We have always produced extra virgin olive oil and wine, which you can buy directly. The familiar and welcoming atmosphere that you breathe here, creates the perfect holiday for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. At Al Colombaio you find also two restaurants and a wine bar. Al Colombaio Restaurant is reported in many famous guides with a Michelin star and is considered one of the best in Tuscany. Il Barco Reale is a restaurant–tavern specialized in the most typical homemade Tuscan cuisine.

Our venue, welcoming and with a friendly atmosphere, is suited also to organize business lunches and dinners.

Osteria San Michele

Osteria San Michele pizzeria with wood–burning oven is open every evening offering typical Tuscan cuisine. By us you can taste local dishes such as: stew, stuffed guinea–fowl, tortelloni of potatoes and grilled steaks. Moreover, on reservation we organize business dinners, ceremonies etc.

Trattoria La Fontana

Our menu is all to read and may be all to taste, but, going in order, we try to suggest you the most appealing dishes from Tuscany on the card.

We assume that our cuisine is purely Tuscan, including solely products chosen directly by Billi every morning and partly are supplied to us by our neighbors, small producers who grow and breed as amateurs for themselves and not disdaining to sell us a large part what we need.

Anyway, we decided to create in this special Trattoria 4 dishes that are the symbol of Fontana, namely:
Schiacciata Pratese, of which we have already talked about, Papero, also mentioned already, and finally the now traditional Grigliata della Fontanamin. for 2, which consists of a Fiorentina steak, ribs of Cinta pig, sausages of Rufina and spit–roasted domestic fowl, all served with new potatoes “in ghiotta” and fried vegetables of the season. And to end up with sweetness, at Trattoria La Fontana, two extraordinary hot desserts always present at lunch and dinner in our menu: orange souffle served with hot sauces and Bauletto ai Gianduiotti.

This is just a partial overview of what you can find on our menu, but, as mentioned above, everything is worth to be tried.

The wine list complies with the trend of the menu type, with the place where the Trattoria is located and includes about 150 labels of red wines of the best regional companies and only a small section devoted to white wines and a few red wines out of the region.

Both for the wine list and for the menu of the day, prices are affordable, in order to let everybody try this amazing Trattoria.
