The global beverage market is undergoing a profound transformation. The demand for non-alcoholic or low-alcohol products is no longer a passing trend, but a consolidated commercial segment that, after revolutionizing the parallel worlds of beer and soft drinks , is also impacting the wine sector.
To shed light on regulations, technologies and market responses, Millevigne invites you to the workshop "No-low alcohol and low natural alcohol content: the frameworks of light drinking" , which will be held on November 17th at 2.00 pm at Fiera Milano Rho (SIMEI, Hall 4 Conference Room) .
The meeting, moderated by Alessandra Biondi Bartolini , will offer a true map of "light drinking," and will feature Lorenzo Biscontin (Cantina Italia), Filippo Moreschi (UGIVI), Antonella Bosso (CREA Viticoltura ed Enologia di Asti), and Tommaso Frioni (DIPROVES Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza) . Together with our guests, we will outline a taxonomy of no-low alcohol and low-alcohol wines: dealcoholized or partially dealcoholized wines, as well as wines with a naturally low alcohol content , obtained through careful vineyard planning and the application of cultivation techniques designed to produce balanced and ripe grapes with low sugar concentrations.
The course will begin with an analysis of the evolution of global demand for no- and low-alcohol beverages, a phenomenon now consolidated in other product sectors and increasingly relevant for the wine sector. It will then examine the European and Italian regulatory framework for total and partial dealcoholization techniques, before delving into viticultural strategies and technological solutions available for producing high-quality dealcoholized wines. This will include the delicate transition to include low-alcohol wines within the regulations for Designation of Origin wines.
The workshop "No-low alcohol and low natural alcohol content: the frameworks for light drinking" is organized by Millevigne in collaboration with Vignaioli Piemontesi and represents an unmissable opportunity for producers, winemakers, and technicians who wish to equip themselves with all the useful and necessary tools to face change.
We look forward to seeing you at SIMEI! Tuesday, November 17th
