More than 1000 years of history: the most ancient document that testifies the existence of Cusona dates back to the year 994, to come to the 70s: Prince Girolamo Strozzi (founder and first president of the Consortium of Vernaccia) starts the marketing of wines in the world, which still runs with his wife Irina and his two daughters Natalia and Irina jr. In 1999, moreover, the expansion of the activity of winemaking in the Tuscan Maremma (Bolgheri, Scansano, Montemassi) and Pantelleria took place. In the Guicciardini Strozzi Estates different types of wines are produced. Among the most prestigious labels, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, already produced for the first time in the estate in the thirteenth century and recited by Dante, Michelangelo, Boccaccio, as well as drunk in the Court of the Medici, who sent it to the Pope.
