Loc. Bussia, 48

Italy
The "PODERI ALDO CONTERNO" farm is located in Monforte d’Alba in Bussia Soprana locality, the heart of the typical zone of Barolo wine.

Currently, the company that makes wine only out of its own grapes, consists of approximately 25 hectares of vineyards. Much of the land, which is located at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, has an exposure towards South and South–West and consists of layers of more or less compact sand of gray–brown color, alternating white and bluish–green calcareous marls.

The fermentation is carried out in stainless steel vats, at controlled temperature. For the aging of Barolo they adopt only traditional large Slavonian oak barrels, while for the other wines barriques of French oak are used.
