Marco is the engine, the maker... the creator of grapes and wine. Rosanna cares about product presentation, the image of the bottles and of the company.
In the web pages we favored the personality of the wines from those described techniques, in effect we think that in the wine poem, soul and character have more value than technicalities.
Through our photos, finally, we wanted to share with you the countryside spirit of the lagarina area in different seasons.
Letrari Soc. Agricola is a family-owned winery that produces high-quality Trentodoc wines using sustainable farming methods. Their vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate that enhances the aroma and acidity of the grapes. The winery's attention to detail and respect for tradition results in elegant sparkling wines that reflect the terroir of the region.
We are in Trentino, on the top of a hill, 350 m above sea level, 3 km far from Rovereto, in a highly specialized in winegrowing farm that covers an area of 10 hectares, all near to each other and fenced.
You can get it alongside a row of cypress trees that leads to a small fort characterized by a tower of the sixteenth century: a business center ennobled by an entirely underground winery and provided with rooms and halls for reception/tasting, in a rustic and rural environment.
The vineyard, which lies in a panoramic position on the Vallagarina area, offers the visitor a pleasant design of geometric alignments and a rigorous separation of the plots, each of which houses separately the different varieties of high nobility: from CHARDONNAY worked as a still wine and with the traditional classic method for BRUT sparkling wine, to the aristocratic SAUVIGNON, to move then to red grape varieties such as MERLOT, LAGREIN, CABERNET SAUVIGNON aged and fined in oak barrels. The wine cellar, typically buried beneath the vineyard, is entrusted to the care of Nicola Balter, that collaborates with the oenologist Paolo Inama. They are those who welcome guests and guide them in the vineyard and the winery.
The Simoncelli family began to grow vines over two centuries ago and, in the farmhouse that stands in the middle of the vineyard, today’s cellar was established. Armando Simoncelli has decided to revisit the old traditions in 1977 and to bottle with his own name on the label.
The owned vineyards cover twelve hectares, today.
Federico Bossi Fedrigotti, father of the current owners, was the one who understood the need for a profound transformation. Thanks to him, the wholesale trade was abolished and they passed to bottling; it was always him who created the first "Bordeaux blend" in Italy, obtained by the contemporary vinification of Merlot and Cabernet grapes. The new wine, accompanied by a constant success, was given the name of "Fojaneghe rosso", from the estate where the best grapes of the two varieties were and are grown.
The Conti Bossi Fedrigotti Company is today flanked by the experience of Masi Agricola. The recent partnership agreement provides support by Masi in terms of cutting–edge technology and international marketing network.
