The Borgo la Caccia farm lies in the soft moraine hills that stretch near Lake
Garda.
The winery was founded thanks to a project that combines the purposes of producing grapes and wines of outstanding quality in a natural way, giving the opportunity to young people of the local community to assist with the work in the vineyards, a path of rapprochement to nature and social life. The 30 hectares of vineyards recline between the provinces of Brescia and Mantua and are mainly dedicated to Lugana, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc grapes, for the white ones. As for the red grapes, there are mainly Carmenoire, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Vineyards are structured with bilateral spurred cordon and Guyot. The initial wine technical and agronomic setting of the vineyards was performed by the oenologist Stefano Chioccioli and his staff who analyzed the area to optimize the planting of the existing vineyards in order to obtain with them the maximum qualitative result.
Since 2011 the wine management of the winery is helped by the wise guide of Dr. Marco Zizioli and his staff, who gave the final quality imprint to the grapes and wines we produce.
Azienda Cadore boasts 2 centuries of history.
Its origins take us to the late nineteenth century, when the family was producing Torcolato wine with Vespaiola grapes in the Breganze area in the province of Vicenza, a wine which was later exported to the United States by the great–grandfather Francesco.
In 1954 the Cadore increase their domains moving to Pozzolengo, in the province of Brescia, near Lake Garda, where Adriano Cadore with his brothers ran the company for many years.
Since 2010, the company has been running by his niece Patrizia who, with the same passion and determination of his uncle, devoted herself to the business using the experience and the ability as qualified personnel in the industry.
Cantina Zamichele is located in the area around Sirmione, Peschiera and Pozzolengo. The company cultivates 6 hectares of vineyards and produces its D.O.C. wines through the use of its own grape production, with the utmost respect for the environment.
Such care is found in the field, where it is usual to find ladybugs, snails and birds’ nests, indicators of the company’s philosophy that leads to the non–use of herbicides and desiccant products. The company, finally, is part of a development with low environmental impact, it is equipped with a photovoltaic system to generate electricity from renewable sources.
Tenuta Roveglia grew from the love for the Lugana area of a Swiss business man, Federico Zweifel, who had immigrated to Lombardy at the end of the 19th century.
Federico brought in the first vines. His son, Giusto Zweifel, continued the passion of his father with rigour, strengthening the production of wine. In the 1980′s, a new generation took over — Giusto's son-in-law Giovanni Felice Azzone, a member of Italy's Royal Society — the Lincean Academy.
He brought to bear the thoroughness of scientific research on the practice of winemaking. Giusto's daughter, Annarosa Zweifel, has dedicated herself for years now to uncovering traces of the estate's rustic past. Their daughters Sara, Vanessa and Babettli continue today with the family tradition.
