The agricultural company has decided, several years ago, to make use of the biodynamic method of agriculture. The attention to the management of land has become a fundamental part of the management of the vineyard. In this perspective of prevention, in the years, they have totally replaced synthetic products with only sulfur and copper, used in low quantities. To date there are not mineral fertilizers, herbicides and systemic treatments. The main works concern the sowing of the vine lands with green manure with various plant species and the professional distribution of the biodynamic preparations of Carlo Noro.

The history of the Macciocca agricultural company of young Mario has been handed down from father to son for three generations, starting from grandfather Giuseppe in 1945. An agricultural and commercial activity which over time evolved following the social transformations and the evolution of taste, up to the present day with the commitment and passion of Mario, inevitably attracted by the charm of the land and its precious product.
He has renowed the family vineyards and winery, giving to the company new life and new impetus through the planting of new varieties, new farming techniques, the production of new wines and a convinced adherence to the modern techniques of vinification and aging processes. The company today is seriously converting itself to cultural practices that appeal to biodynamics.
The vines grown on red soil of volcanic origin in the locality of Civitella, a hilly area with very good sun exposure, give rise to generous production of grapes destined to become excellent wines, of original and outstanding sensorial and tasting characteristics.
