WORK: SUMMER 2025, THE TOP 10 MOST SOUGHT-AFTER JOB ACCORDING TO OPENJOBMETIS

Summer is approaching, a traditionally favorable period for those looking for a job, whether seasonal or continuous. Openjobmetis, one of the main Employment Agencies in Italy with more than 160 branches throughout the country, reports over 2,500 open positions throughout the Peninsula , distributed in numerous key sectors (from large-scale retail trade to retail, commerce, tourism, catering, agriculture, logistics and transport) with requests throughout Italy. But what are the most sought-after professions?

Here is the top 10, again according to the Openjobmetis observatory.

In 1st place are sales assistants : over 500 open positions with a strong concentration in Veneto, Lombardy, Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Liguria, Lazio and Sicily; particularly significant are the requests in the large shopping centres of the South, such as those of Marcianise, Salerno and the province of Cosenza; at a territorial level, 50 open positions stand out between Verona, Mantua and Trentino, 30 in eastern Veneto, another 30 between Rome and Latina, 20 in Genoa and 15 in the areas of Ragusa and Siracusa.

2nd and 3rd place for waiters and cooks , with a total of over 200 requests in Trentino-Alto Adige for hotels, restaurants and bars; there is no shortage of offers in other destinations with a high tourist vocation, including Ostuni, Lecce, Catania, Syracuse, Palermo, Rome, La Spezia, Jesolo, Lignano, Trieste and the Tuscan coast of Versilia.

4th place for fruit and vegetable sorting and processing workers : 150 available positions distributed between Faenza, Ferrara, Castel Bolognese and Bagnacavallo, followed by Puglia, with 50 workers for the harvesting of table grapes between Barletta and Bisceglie, and Sicily, where 50 workers are sought in Mazzarrone and Carlentini.

Still in the tourism/hospitality sector, bartenders are in 5th place, receptionists are in 6th place and lifeguards are in 7th place, with more than 200 open positions in total. Next are people care workers, with carers in 8th place and nurses in 9th place: in this case too, there are almost 200 open positions for this upcoming summer period. Warehouse workers close the top 10, with almost a hundred figures sought in particular between Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna, of which 30 between the provinces of Mantua and Verona.
