"Trump has just been elected President of the United States for the second time and in Europe people are already thinking about what the consequences could be of the possible introduction of import duties, between 10% and 20%, with the aim of increasing revenue, defending national industries and increasing jobs in the United States. The duties could concern food products, chemical products, luxury goods and motor vehicles. If what was promised during the election campaign were to be kept, there would certainly be negative economic repercussions in many European countries. Italy would also suffer in terms of GDP and employment. Italian exports to the United States are worth over 50 billion euros a year, equal to 2.5% of the entire GDP", comments Sandro Susini, labor consultant and founder of Susini Group StP .
