Cotarella: “In the world of Italian cooperatives there is a feeling of resurgence. Cooperatives in Italy are an important engine with 54% of the product".

On this occasion the press conference " The current situation and prospects of the wine markets: the vision of The Wine Net " also took place, which was attended by the presidents of the network's cooperatives moderated by the journalist Fabio Piccoli, with the participation of Riccardo Cotarella and Luca Castagnetti.

A clear message emerged from the conference: the importance of business networks for the Italian system. “Business networks are a privileged economic observatory . Today, having a governance capable of intercepting new trends is fundamental because we are in a revolutionary phase and there must be a leap in quality in the way of doing business. In this sense, the business network tool allows us to more easily intercept these trends" explained Fabio Piccoli , director of Wine Meridian.

Riccardo Cotarella , world-renowned wine consultant, said: “I am proud to collaborate with cooperatives. For those who practice my profession, the oenologist, having direct contact with open realities that are not tied to family customs is very stimulating. In the world of cooperatives today there is a feeling of resurgence, the desire to experiment and a great burst of pride .

Furthermore, working in a transversal and broad territory such as that of cooperatives is stimulating due to the great availability of land, members and realities.

54% of wine in Italy is produced by cooperatives today and this also gives them a great responsibility for the future of our country's wine".

Giovanni Greco, president of The Wine Net, as well as president of the CVA Canicattì cooperative winery, added : “Our reality is not a consortium, but a network of companies founded on simple principles of solidarity and sharing . We represent thousands and thousands of small producers and for this reason our aim is to give a sense of ethics and value aimed at the future . An ethical and commercial model that represents the value of viticulture and territories of excellence in the world, because today in cooperatives research and experimentation are carried out and we are often more courageous".

Luca Castagnetti, business consultant and founder of Studio Impresa: “ I am happy to have contributed to the construction of this network.

The Wine Net is unique in its sector because in the world of wine cooperation. Everyone says that we need to work together and unite as a system, they do it. Today we are faced with a complex market with many fewer, but working together puts cooperatives in a position to face the next 5 years with more security - only companies that function, which have strong social bases, will succeed. Suffice it to say that The Wine Net's group of cooperatives has recorded growth of 15% in the last 4 years. Through the network of companies it is possible to create value".
