New entry in the Veneto sommellerie: on 21st February 2015 in Padua a special public tasting which officially launches the Sommelier Italian Foundation Veneto will take place



Sommelier Italian Foundation Veneto: learn about the objectives and the team


The Foundation wants to disclose in a new and exciting way the wine culture ranging over the wine masterpieces of Italy and the world.

The date of the official baptism is Saturday, 21st February, at the Crowne Hotel of Limena – Padua.

The objectives and features of the Sommelier Italian Foundation Veneto, the rich program of educational activities and events will be presented. It will be possible to know the team of presenters, official tasters and other industry professionals who will have the task of promoting the wine culture in its different facets.

«We begin this new adventure in Veneto – Chairman Raul D’Alessandro and vice Chairwoman Mariucia Pelosato say – in a time when interest in wine and in the great Italian food and wine variety is experiencing a true second Renaissance. To know how to communicate and promote the typical of the country excellences, highlighting the fundamental relationship with the territories and cultures they come from, is our main mission to help to form an increasingly aware public and also professionals able to tell and promote this great Italian heritage at national and international level».



The Great Tasting

For its launch, the Sommelier Italian Foundation Veneto organized an outstanding public tasting. There will be local institutions, the Consortia for the Protection of the DOC and DOCG of Veneto and of some of the most important producers in the region, as well as the Chairman and vice Chairwoman of the new association, along with the national Chairman Franco Maria Ricci. The real protagonist will be wine: led by Professor Massimo Billetto ten great Italian labels will be tasted (Franciacorta Brut 2009 – Bellavista; Franciacorta Vintage Collection Dosage Zéro Noir 2005 – Ca' del Bosco; Vintage Tunina 2012 – Jermann; Cervaro della Sala 2013 – Antinori; Five Roses 70° Anniversario 2014 – Leone de Castris; Bolgheri Sassicaia Sassicaia 2012 – Tenuta San Guido; Barbaresco 2011 – Angelo Gaja; Taurasi Piano di Montevergine Riserva 2009 – Feudi di San Gregorio; Alto Adige Moscato Rosa 2013 – Franz Haas; Marsala Superiore Semisecco Ambra Donna Franca Riserva – Florio).



Admission to the tasting is free and reserved for Sommelier Italian Federation members only, to availability of the 120 places.
