“The publication of the tenth edition of Vinetia – The Guide to the Wines of the Veneto represents an important milestone and a source of satisfaction for the whole of AIS Veneto – explains Giovanni Geremia , editor of the guide -. The participation of wineries is constantly increasing both in our tasting panels and in the various events that we organize during the year to promote the wines of our region and the activity of the Italian Sommelier Association. With the 2024 edition we have implemented the new app, available on the Apple Store and Google Play, to be able to always have Vinetia within reach of your smartphone".
“In this edition – continues the president of AIS Veneto, Gianpaolo Breda – we actively involved the sector press and the world of catering in the dissemination of wine culture, which has always been the founding purpose of AIS. The story of a place, of the work and choices of a producer are the keys to fully understanding the potential and beauty of a territory. It is a choral work, which is made up of several voices, and which depicts the Veneto as a land rich in wine excellences to be discovered".
Vinetia is the result of important research work, which explores every single corner of the Veneto to identify and enhance its excellence – concludes Marco Aldegheri , vice president of AIS Italia –. Furthermore, the results of this research become a real asset for the development of the national guide of AIS Vitae , which will be presented on November 15th at the Listone Giordano Arena in Milan".
Vinetia 2024 tasters tasted a total of 2,120 wines from 412 producers . The guide also awarded 218 wines with 4 Rosettes , which represent the highest score range assigned by the tasting commission. Another 72 labels received the Ducato , the recognition dedicated to references that combine high quality with advantageous prices. Finally, the best 50 producers out of a total of over 400 were awarded the Rialto Prize
