The 14th edition of the Executive Course in Wine Business Management starts on November 26th.

MIB Trieste School of Management and the Association of Italian Oenologists and Winemakers ( Assoenologi ) have signed a collaboration agreement for the promotion of the Executive Course in Wine Business Management ( WBM ) and for the development of training, information and promotional initiatives for Assoenologi members.

Thanks to the agreement, MIB will make available to Assoenologi members a few places to participate in the 14th edition of the Course, starting on November 26, 2026 , and for subsequent editions during the validity period of the agreement.

The agreement stems from a shared belief between the two companies: in the contemporary wine world, quality in the vineyard and cellar is no longer enough. Today's consumers are more informed and selective, attentive to sustainability, health, and consistent brand values; markets require strategic vision, financial analysis capabilities, and marketing and branding skills. This is why the role of the winemaker is evolving : alongside the technical component, the ability to read markets, manage resources, and collaborate across the company's sales, marketing, and finance functions is becoming increasingly crucial.

Active since 2002 in management training for entrepreneurs, managers, and operators in the wine industry, MIB Trieste School of Management offers the Executive Course in Wine Business Management for professionals already working in the sector or wishing to develop management skills in the industry. Now in its 14th edition, the course has already trained over 200 professionals over the previous 13 years.

Assoenologi, which represents Italian oenologists and promotes their professional growth through training and refresher courses, has chosen to strengthen this skills development process by offering its members privileged access to the MIB Course.

" Today's winemaker can no longer limit himself to excelling in the production of quality wines: he must be able to interpret new consumer behavior, manage costs and profitability, build branding strategies and collaborate with marketing, sales and finance. It is a transformation we have been observing for years in wineries and to which our Course has responded for thirteen editions. The collaboration with Assoenologi allows us to bring this training path directly to those who, first and foremost, experience the daily challenge of combining technique and oenology with managerial vision ," says Pierpaolo Penco, Director of the Executive Course in Wine Business Management at MIB Trieste School of Management .

" Investing in the professional growth of our members also means accompanying them beyond the technical skills, which remain the core of the profession, towards the managerial preparation that is increasingly necessary to face a rapidly evolving global market. The collaboration with MIB Trieste School of Management, a leading school in management training for the wine sector, offers our oenologists a concrete development opportunity, consistent with Assoenologi's mission to support the continuous professional growth of its members ," says Paolo Brogioni, Director of Assoenologi .

The 14th edition of the Executive Course in Wine Business Management will start on November 26, 2026 .
