The school is attended by many people and has collaborations with leading Italian universities and research institutes.

The goal of the School of pruning is to teach the foundations on which the Simonit&Sirch method of branched vine pruning is based. It is a method that:

– enables the plant to grow with age, to occupy space with its trunk and branches;

– ensures the continuity of the lymphatic flow;

– performs small cuts on the young wood, minimally invasive;

– uses the technique known as "of respectable wood" for drawing away the withering from the main flow of the lymph.

«The results of proper pruning and a careful management of green can be clearly seen during the harvest. Vines pruned according to our method – Marco Simonit says – give healthiest, consistent, of better quality grapes, easier to pick up even in years of difficult harvest like 2014. In effect, since plants are balanced, they have a more uniform ripening, which this year has made all the difference, especially in the North, which has faced more than the other areas of the peninsula well–known problems of weather».
