The next level 1 Pruning Schools will be held starting from November 2023 . The package includes 2 online courses , Vine Pruner and Vine Pruner Advanced, and 3 days of practical exercises , which will take place full time from 8.00 to 17.00 between November 2023 and February 2024 for winter pruning and in spring 2024 for shoot selection. The Simonit&Sirch tutors will teach pruning and plant management techniques to safeguard health, longevity, promote resilience to climate stress and improve the sustainability of the vineyards. The four fundamental principles of Simonit&Sirch Pruning will be explored: respecting the lymphatic flow, promoting branching and chronological growth of the wood, making small cuts and preserving the living wood.
Overall, 14 pruning schools will be held in various Italian regions (Piedmont, Trentino Alto Adige, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Campania) and 2 in Spain in Ribera and Rioja . Anyone who attends all the lessons and passes a practical exam will be issued a certificate of participation .
Additionally, schools will be held offline in California, Oregon, British Columbia (Canada), UK, Germany, Hungary, Australia and Luxembourg.
