SIMEI 2015 – International Enological and Bottling Equipment Exhibition, is starting, organized by UIV, Italian Wine Union, scheduled for 3rd to 6th November in Milan Rho fair.

An event that over time has become the only point of reference dedicated to operators and enterprises of the wine sector, a platform for dialogue and discussion on the best technologies of wine, oil and beverage industry.

A role confirmed by the presence of international players and several delegations of buyers from the US, Australia, Chile, Spain, Brazil, Tunisia, who will meet the exhibitors and take part in some of the different stages of professional development offered by the large program of events.

In addition to the exhibition there will be indeed a rich offer of training sessions and refresher courses, international conferences and themed workshops, as well as a novelty: Enovitis Business, a format dedicated to the vineyard, based on a networking among operators.

«Technological, interactive, educational and increasingly global» – Domenico Zonin, UIV Chairman, said – «A 26th edition that started well, with a great recognition from the Ministry of Economic Development that last March included SIMEI in the extraordinary plan for the Made in Italy recognizing to the event the excellent planning of development, and not only. In August, we signed a strategic agreement without equal in the international exhibition of the Italian Wine Union, veteran organizer of SIMEI and the Fair of Monaco, organizer of Drinktec, leading world trade fair for beverage and liquid food technology. The aim is to create a special constellation for the technology of wine, combining the respective strengths into a twin platform which wants to become the most important showcase in the world for technology, trade and marketing in the industry.

Ambitious premises, but that seem to be the natural consequences of the deep and specialized work done for more than 50 years by the Italian Wine Union, organizing the first edition of 1963.

«Thanks to our team of professionals and scholars in the global wine sector, we have been able to build relationships and make system – Francesco Pavanello, general manager of UIV, commented – this allowed us to organize SIMEI as a necessary appointment of professional development for national and international wineries, thanks to the completeness of the exhibition and the quality of training events and study organized throughout the event».

The exhibitors are more than 600 and the organization estimates that there are about 40,000 visitors in addition to the exhibition will have the opportunity to participate directly or interactive initiatives proposed in the agenda. During the entire duration of SIMEI, in effect, real "events in the events", several seminars, conferences and technical workshops will take place, lasting half a day, which will be held directly inside the pavilions in classrooms set up in rows and equipped with standard technical instruments.

Three are the clusters treated: wine, beer and oil. In the agenda, in addition to technical discussions, also tasting workshops, presentations of case histories, sensory analysis and talk shows conducted by distinguished opinion makers of the Italian wine and beverage sector.
