Elected unanimously by the renewed BoD, it happens to Giordano Zinzani who leaves after 12 years.

A particularly important meeting as it also provided for the renewal of offices for the three-year period 2020-2022. As usual, the newly elected Board of Directors appointed the new president. The preferences were unanimously expressed for Ruenza Santandrea , a well-known and highly appreciated name in the regional, national and European wine scene for the important positions held in the last fifteen years in the sector. Santandrea, the first female president in the history of the Consorzio Vini di Romagna in 58 years of the institution (it was founded in 1962), succeeds Giordano Zinzani, who leaves after four consecutive three-year terms.

« Aware of going to cover this important role in a decidedly complicated historical moment for the Romagna wine, and not only, I hope in everyone's commitment to give new impetus to our sector - declares the new President Santandrea - Everyone can make their own contribution and together we must start to think immediately about what actions and what strategies to put in place to promote our wines, children of a territory rich in culture, traditions and gastronomy . I therefore thank you for the confidence expressed by the BoD in me and now at work, united and compact. Only in this way will we be able to enhance our products, well beyond Covid-19 ».

To support Santandrea in the work of the Wines of Romagna Consortium will be the reconfirmed Vice Presidents Scipione Giuliani (Poderi dal Nespoli, Civitella di Romagna) and Mauro Sirri (Celli, Bertinoro) and the new Board of Directors formed by: Francesco Bordini (Villa Papiano , Modigliana), Silvia Casali (Tenuta Casali, Mercato Saraceno), Fabio Castellari (Cantina di Faenza, Faenza), Andrea Achille Emiliani (Agrintesa, Faenza), Riccardo Maraldi (Caviro, Faenza), Roberto Monti (Cantina Forlì-Predappio, Forlì ), Alessandro Morini (Poderi Morini, Faenza), Marco Nannetti (Terre Cevico, Lugo), David Navacchia (Tre Monti, Imola), Alberto Perdisa (Insia - Palazzona di Maggio, Ozzano dell'Emilia), Enrico Prugnoli (Cantina Sociale di Cesena, Cesena), Daniele Rossi (Cantina dei Colli Romagnoli, Faenza), Sandro Santini (Tenuta Santini, Coriano), Roberto Sarti (Caviro, Faenza), Matteo Vingione (Cavim, Sasso Morelli).
