The Italy of wine is the great protagonist of the Power 100 by "Liv–ex" in 2014 and "The Drinks Business". Here are all the top Italian wine brands.



Power 100 of "Liv–ex" and "The Drinks Business" is the ranking of the greatest brands of wine in the world. The classification criteria are sales volumes, scores of critics and price performance.



Power 100: 2014 trends



In 2014 the Italy of wine has gained a very broad space in the Olympus of the greatest brands.

The general trend that emerges from the ranking of the most powerful brands in the world of wine of this year is the desire to broaden the range of tastes, looking for valuable labels also away from the usual suspects.

In addition to Italian wines, there are labels from California, Australia and the Rhone. The top 20 positions in the 2014 edition of the list include brands from 9 different regions.



Top brand of Italian wine in the Power 100

Ornellaia is in 13th position, Gaja in 14th, and Masseto gains positions from no. 33 in 2013 to no. 25 in 2014.

At the thirty–first place we find Giacomo Conterno, which rose as much as 45 places.

Bruno Giacosa is ranked 60th.

Tignanello is ranked 75th.

New entry in the ranking for the Solaia at the position no. 61.

Le Macchiole rose to no. 85 respect to no. 89 of 2013.

The last Italian presence in the ranking is Guado al Tasso at position 100.
