Poderi Luigi Einaudi announces a new agreement for the exclusive distribution on the Italian market of Champagne R. Faivre, a small independent maison located in Belval-sous-Châtillon, in the Haute Vallée de la Marne.
The agreement represents a new step in the process of selecting and promoting winemaking businesses that share a strong territorial identity, an artisanal vision of production, and an environmentally friendly agricultural culture.
Founded in 1953 by Robert Faivre, Maison R. Faivre is now led by David Faivre, who has embarked on a profound agronomic and oenological renewal program, focused on soil preservation, vine resilience, and the valorization of individual parcels. Since 2017, the house has adopted parcel-by-parcel winemaking and a minimally interventionist approach, with limited use of sulfites and processes that respect the vineyard's natural balance.
Nestled among forests, valleys, and clay-limestone soils, the Belval-sous-Châtillon terroir gives R. Faivre Champagnes a distinctive style, characterized by freshness, tension, and creamy elegance. The house's signature grape variety is Meunier, which represents approximately 80% of the estate's vineyards and finds one of its most authentic and contemporary expressions here.
The cuvées featured in the Italian distribution are: “Les Reflets du Clocher,” an Extra Brut Champagne made from 100% Meunier grapes from the estate's historic parcels; Le Reflets de la Haute Vallée, a blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier, Chardonnay, and a portion of 2019 and 2020 reserves; and Les Confidences de l'Anée 2019, a combination of Pinot Noir and Meunier.
"The addition of Champagne R. Faivre to our distribution network stems from our desire to collaborate with producers capable of expressing the region through authentic and contemporary wines," says Poderi Luigi Einaudi. "We found in David Faivre a vision similar to our own: respect for the land, identity, and a commitment to uncompromising quality."
With this agreement, Matteo Sardegna Einaudi strengthens its commitment to selecting independent houses united by a strong territorial identity and an authentic, contemporary production approach. Champagne R. Faivre was chosen by Poderi Luigi Einaudi as the embodiment of an artisanal, elegant Champagne deeply rooted in its terroir.
Jessica and David Faivre's contribution was crucial to the project's development. They guided the birth of the collaboration with great sensitivity and vision, sharing values, a production philosophy, and a focus on quality from the very beginning. A key role was also played by Zvonimir Jurkovic, winemaker at Poderi Luigi Einaudi, whose constant presence and ongoing dialogue with the winery helped consolidate a relationship built on mutual respect, stylistic consistency, and the pursuit of excellence.
