The Italian Sommelier Association wants to increasingly distinguish itself in the field of social, solidarity, and inclusiveness. AIS, in fact, is a Third Sector Association (ETS) that has chosen to invest resources in favor of communities, for the most vulnerable, with great attention to economic, social and environmental sustainability. We have already launched numerous projects that fill us with pride and whose success motivates us to continue on this path with ever greater determination". This was stated by the national president of AIS, Sandro Camilli , during the second AIS National Day for Sustainability and Social Affairs that took place in Mestre.
"We are honored to have hosted the regional presidents and delegates - explains Gianpaolo Breda , president of AIS Veneto - and to have had the opportunity to listen to the points of view of the speakers who spoke during the Day. Experiences such as Alba Vitae, an initiative that has its roots in Veneto and is now widespread throughout the country, Adopt a vineyard with AIS Veneto , an idea born with the Social Farm A Casa di Anna, and the adhesion to the ETICO project of Amorim Cork, which deals with collecting and recycling cork stoppers, are important projects for our Association, which is increasingly promoting ethical, sustainable and social initiatives for the benefit of the territory".
The initiative sponsored by the Veneto Region was attended by, among others, Gianluca Cornelio Meglio , an expert in the agri-food sector who illustrated how a sustainable organizational model is able to put the well-being of workers at the center, Carlos Veloso dos Santos , who focused on how the cork supply chain can be a virtuous example of circular economy and respect for the environment and Enrico Tacchini , who highlighted the environmental advantages of the digital transition. Camillo Privitera , AIS Events Area Manager, concluded the proceedings.
The initiative was promoted under the banner of AIS4AID which expresses the will and commitment of the Italian Sommelier Association in the social field and in support of communities.
