The winners of the 18th International Packaging Competition of Vinitaly have been declared.
The competition is the most important in the world and intends to highlight the best packaging of wines and distillates made from grapes, vinasse, must and wine and spirits from fruits that are not grapes, rewarding and stimulating the efforts of wineries to the continuous improvement of their image.
The works of the competition were held on 14th March, in Verona. A highly qualified jury assessed the packaging of wines and spirits presented considering the shape of bottles, labels, from collars to capsules, etc..
«With the Packaging Competition – Giovanni Mantovani, General manager of VeronaFiere, says – we want to bring to the attention a particularly important aspect of wine marketing, which is precisely that of the image, which must increasingly take into account the markets to which it is addresses and the target of final consumer you want to achieve».
The samples submitted were 160, three medal winners for each of the eight categories listed in the Regulations.
