Thus was born #SmartAISVeneto , the new format of courses for 1st level Sommeliers of AIS Veneto. The great journey into the world of wine unfolds between 11 one-hour distance learning sessions and 8 two-hour in-room meetings , which include live tasting sessions of over 50 wines and spirits.
The start of the lessons of the new course is expected in all the Veneto provinces for Saturday 3 October at 9.30 with a first appointment in the presence of the Best Western CTC Hotel Verona in San Giovanni Lupatoto (VR), Best Western Galileo Plus in Padua. , De Gusto Dolomiti Restaurant in Belluno , Best Western Hotel Cristallo in Rovigo , Novotel Venezia Mestre Castellana in Mestre (VE), San Gaetano Institute in Vicenza and Hotel Maggior Consiglio in Treviso .
"This new offer - explains Marco Aldegheri , President of AIS Veneto - will allow us to guarantee all our students safe teaching and greater flexibility. Thanks to distance learning, in fact, we will give all members the possibility to access the lessons also in deferred mode, thus making them usable by a wider audience of enthusiasts and professionals. However, we are convinced that contact with speakers and tutors is also fundamental : this is why these figures will always be next to each student and will accompany him in his personal training path. "
The autumn period will also be an opportunity to resume, with the traditional modality in the room, all the courses suspended in March due to the Covid-19 emergency, to which participants who had already paid the registration fee will be able to access. The lessons dedicated to the 2nd and 3rd level for new students will start in the months of January and February 2021 .
Finally, the educational offer is completed with a 2nd level WSET - Wine and Spirits Education Trust course on wine in English thanks to the renewed collaboration with the Italian Wine Academy , a center authorized to teach WSET courses. The course, which will give the opportunity to interact professionally with the public and foreign operators, is scheduled from 4 to 6 September at the Wine2Digital headquarters in Verona. AIS Sommeliers who have completed the training course access it thanks to an advantageous rate reserved for them.
