The important milestone was reached with the latest edition of Alba Vitæ: the 8000 euro check delivered to the Polis Group of Padua.

In fourteen editions of Alba Vitæ initiative that aims to raise funds for local charities through the sale of a limited edition of magnums - and other charitable projects such as Adopt a vineyard and Ethical , 103 thousand euros were raised and donated to the various organizations involved over the years. The important milestone was reached with the 2024 edition of Alba Vitæ : the check for 8,000 euros was delivered to the Polis Group of Padua and will finance the My Ability project which, within the Fuori di Campo Social Farm, helps people with different types of difficulties to train all those relational skills that are functional for entering (or re-entering) the world of work. The proceeds were obtained thanks to the sale of Borgo delle Casette 2020 by the company Il Filò delle Vigne of Baone (Padua).

“Our Association – explains Gianpaolo Breda , President of AIS Veneto – strongly believes in sustainability in the broadest sense of the term, which therefore looks at environmental impact as much as human rights and social and work inclusion. What has been collected over time through the various initiatives implemented makes us extremely proud. A reality, ours, that combines the expertise and knowledge of wine with the desire to act concretely for the good of the territory, leaving a tangible mark”.

“The Italian Sommelier Association – continues the President of AIS Italia Sandro Camilli – is investing more and more in solidarity and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) activities. These actions are developed in all regions, from North to South. Alba Vitæ has the merit of having been among the first initiatives: born in Veneto and later adopted throughout the national territory, it has given rise to numerous AIS solidarity projects”.

The other ongoing solidarity projects of AIS Veneto are Adopt a Vineyard with AIS Veneto and Etico . In particular, Adopt a Vineyard is an educational and solidarity project that has the dual objective of supporting the Fattoria Sociale Casa di Anna – an organization that for several years has pursued social inclusion through the work in the company of people with disabilities or legal problems – and becoming a training course for Sommeliers, who will have the opportunity to see the growth phases of the vineyard, from the vine shoot to the wine. Etico is instead the project developed together with Amorim Cork Italia that aims to collect 800 million cork stoppers used every year in Italy. Members can deliver the corks during the AIS Veneto Sommelier courses. The cork, 100% recyclable, will be transformed into various sustainable products. Etico , in addition to promoting environmental and economic sustainability, supports various voluntary associations by donating the proceeds to them.
