The members of the Italian Sommelier Association elected the national offices throughout Italy to paint the future of the association for the next four years. Antonello Maietta has been re–elected national president with 75% of the votes. Here are all the elected.
Presidents, councilors and reivsers of regional delegations from north to south: Members of AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) were called to the polls to decide the new positions for the next four years, in addition to the national ones.

«Bestowing to me 75% of the votes, the Members of the Association of Italian Sommeliers have expressed a great sense of responsibility and a strong desire for cohesion, welcoming the work done in recent years and the program for the future».
Focus Ais Veneto Aldegheri triumphs
With nearly 60% of the votes, Marco Aldegheri won the presidency of the association of the Veneto region. «I receive the baton from Eddy Furlan – Aldegheri comments – who led the association until last Monday. My presidency, however, follows the path already traced, so Eddy Furlan will remain at the top of the association as my vice president». «Added to this is the idea that the reappointment marks an improvement in the way of doing of the association, because it has undermined the old logic of representation, testing the maturity of our members. Finally, the confrontation won, sometimes coarse, sometimes a little bit vulgar, but always a confrontation, which in AIS was not know. A breath of fresh air from which to start, with the help of all those who want to look ahead».
Focus Ais Tuscany: Baroncelli
Third consecutive mandate as president of Ais Tuscany for Osvaldo Baroncelli. «I first thank those who have allowed me to be still here today to lead this team – he commented – with many special people who carry around the name of our association with pride and professionalism. These years have been challenging but also exciting because they brought us enormous satisfaction, and today I am asking once again to all our association members to carry on, with perseverance and passion, the commitment that summarizes the mission, which is to spread the culture of responsible drinking to know the best wines of our country and the world, but above all to bring prestige and dignity to the professional sommelier, who plays an increasingly important role especially in the communication of wine».
