"The program A life among the vines - declares Silvio Dani , President of the Consortium - was conceived and developed internally by the Consortium, a choice that has allowed the creation of an overall vision representative of the territory by those who know it best and, at the at the same time, to highlight all the individual preciousness. In this way, in addition to the typical and recognized vines of our territory such as the Tai Rosso and the Garganega, we had the opportunity to give the right space also to topics and topics that are not covered much such as that of the Bordeaux blends, which in the Berici Hills give life to excellent results".
Currently the Consorzio Tutela Vini Colli Berici e Vicenza has 28 member companies , 25 of which are private and 3 cooperative wineries, which represent almost all of the total production of DOC Colli Berici and DOC Vicenza grapes. It covers an area rich in facets due to the morphology of the territory, which includes stretches of plain, hills, rivers and lakes, whose sub-zones are characterized by different pedoclimatic characteristics.
“The Berici Hills are a large and varied territory – declares Giovanni Ponchia – and its wines express all its originality. It was challenging to create a program that told of its great potential, but the final result gave us unique satisfaction. To discover the beauties and hidden corners of the Berici Hills, I invite everyone to watch A life among the vines ”.
